Luke 9
1 And calling the twelve, He gave to them power and authority over all demons, and to heal diseases.
A [Jezus], przywoławszy swoich dwunastu uczniów, dał im moc i władzę nad wszystkimi demonami i [moc], aby uzdrawiali choroby.
2 And He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
I rozesłał ich, żeby głosili królestwo Boże i uzdrawiali chorych.
3 And He said to them, Take nothing for the journey, neither staff, nor valise, nor bread, nor silver; nor to have two coats.
Powiedział też do nich: Nie bierzcie nic na drogę: ani laski, ani torby, ani chleba, ani pieniędzy i nie miejcie dwóch szat.
4 And into whatsoever house you may eaten there abide, and go out from thence.
A gdy wejdziecie do jakiegoś domu, tam pozostańcie i stamtąd wychodźcie.
5 And so many as may not receive you, going out from that city, knock off the dust of your feet for a testimony against them.
A jeśli was nie przyjmą, wychodząc z tego miasta, strząśnijcie pył z waszych nóg na świadectwo przeciwko nim.
6 And going out, they continued to go through the villages, everywhere preaching the gospel, and healing.
Wyszedłszy więc, obchodzili wszystkie miasteczka, głosząc ewangelię i uzdrawiając wszędzie.
7 And Herod the tetrarch heard all things which were wrought by Him; and was at a loss, because it was said by some, that John is risen from the dead;
A o wszystkim, co się przez niego dokonywało, usłyszał tetrarcha Herod i zaniepokoił się, ponieważ niektórzy mówili, że Jan zmartwychwstał;
8 and by some that Elijah has appeared; and by others that one of the old prophets is arisen.
Inni zaś, że Eliasz się pojawił, a jeszcze inni, że zmartwychwstał któryś z dawnych proroków.
9 And Herod said, I beheaded John: but who is this, concerning whom I hear these things? And he was seeking to see Him.
A Herod powiedział: Jana ściąłem. Kim więc jest ten, o którym słyszę takie rzeczy? I chciał go zobaczyć.
10 And the apostles having returned, expounded unto Him how many things they did. And taking them He departed privately into a desert place, belonging to the city called Bethsaida.
Kiedy apostołowie wrócili, opowiedzieli mu wszystko, co uczynili. A on, wziąwszy ich ze sobą, odszedł osobno na odludne miejsce koło miasta zwanego Betsaidą.
11 And the multitudes having found out, followed Him And receiving them, He spoke to them concerning the kingdom of God, and healed those having need of healing.
Gdy ludzie się o tym dowiedzieli, poszli za nim. On ich przyjął i mówił im o królestwie Bożym, i uzdrawiał tych, którzy potrzebowali uzdrowienia.
12 And the day began to decline; and the twelve coming to Him, said, Send away the multitude, in order that having gone into the surrounding villages and countries, they may lodge, and find food: because we are here in a desert place.
A gdy dzień zaczął się chylić [ku wieczorowi], podeszło do niego dwunastu, mówiąc: Odpraw tłum, aby poszli do okolicznych miasteczek i wsi i znaleźli żywność oraz schronienie, bo jesteśmy tu na pustkowiu.
13 And He said to them, You give them to eat. And they said, There is not to us more than five loaves and two fishes; if not having gone we must purchase victuals for all this people.
Ale on powiedział do nich: Wy dajcie im jeść. A oni odpowiedzieli: Nie mamy nic więcej oprócz pięciu chlebów i dwóch ryb; chyba że pójdziemy i kupimy jedzenie dla tych wszystkich ludzi.
14 For the men were about five thousand. And He said to His disciples, Have them sit down in companies, about fifty.
Mężczyzn bowiem było około pięciu tysięcy. I powiedział do swoich uczniów: Rozkażcie im usiąść w grupach po pięćdziesięciu.
15 And they did thus, and made all sit down.
Uczynili tak i usadowili wszystkich.
16 And taking the five loaves and two fishes, looking up to heaven, He blessed them; and He broke, and gave to the disciples to dispense to the multitude.
A [on], wziąwszy te pięć chlebów i dwie ryby, spojrzał w niebo, pobłogosławił je, łamał i dawał uczniom, aby kładli przed ludźmi.
17 And they all ate and were filled: and that which remained to them of the fragments, were taken up, twelve baskets.
I jedli wszyscy do syta. A z kawałków, które im pozostały, zebrano dwanaście koszy.
18 It came to pass, while He was praying alone, His disciples came to Him. And He asked them, saying, Whom do the multitudes say that I am?
I stało się tak, że kiedy modlił się na osobności, a byli z nim uczniowie, zapytał ich: Za kogo mnie ludzie uważają?
19 They responding said, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; and others, that one of the old prophets is risen.
A oni odpowiedzieli: Za Jana Chrzciciela, inni za Eliasza, a jeszcze inni [mówią], że zmartwychwstał któryś z dawnych proroków.
20 And He said to them, But whom do you say that I am? And Peter responding said, The Christ of God.
I powiedział do nich: A wy za kogo mnie uważacie? A Piotr odpowiedział: Za Chrystusa Bożego.
21 And having charged them, He commanded them to tell it to no one.
Ale on surowo [ich] napomniał i nakazał, aby nikomu tego nie mówili.
22 Saying, That it behooved the Son of man to suffer many things, and to be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes and to be killed, and to rise the third day.
I powiedział: Syn Człowieczy musi wiele cierpieć i zostać odrzucony przez starszych, naczelnych kapłanów i uczonych w Piśmie, i być zabity, a trzeciego dnia zmartwychwstać.
23 And He spoke to all, If any one wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Mówił też do wszystkich: Jeśli ktoś chce pójść za mną, niech się wyprze samego siebie, niech bierze swój krzyż każdego dnia i idzie za mną.
24 For whosoever may wish to save his soul shall lose it; and whosoever may lose his soul for my sake, he shall save it.
Kto bowiem chce zachować swoje życie, straci je, a kto straci swe życie z mojego powodu, ten je zachowa.
25 For what is a man profited, gaining the whole world, and losing or forfeiting himself?
Bo cóż pomoże człowiekowi, choćby cały świat pozyskał, jeśli samego siebie zatraci lub szkodę poniesie?
26 For whosoever may be ashamed of me and my words, the Son of man will be ashamed of him, when He may come in His glory, and that of the Father, and that of the holy angels.
Kto bowiem wstydzi się mnie i moich słów, tego Syn Człowieczy będzie się wstydził, gdy przyjdzie w chwale swojej, Ojca i świętych aniołów.
27 And truly I say unto you, There are some of those standing here, who may not taste of death, until they may see the kingdom of God.
Ale zapewniam was: Niektórzy z tych, co tu stoją, nie zakosztują śmierci, dopóki nie ujrzą królestwa Bożego.
28 And it came to pass after these discourses, about eight days, and taking Peter and John and James, He went up into the mountain to pray.
W jakieś osiem dni po tych mowach wziął ze sobą Piotra, Jana i Jakuba i wszedł na górę, aby się modlić.
29 And it came to pass while He was praying, the appearance of His countenance was changed, and His raiment shining white.
A gdy się modlił, zmienił się wygląd jego oblicza, a jego szaty [stały się] białe i lśniące.
30 And behold two men were talking with Him, who were Moses and Elijah:
A oto rozmawiało z nim dwóch mężów. Byli to Mojżesz i Eliasz.
31 who being seen in glory, was speaking of His departure which He was about to perfect in Jerusalem.
Ukazali się oni w chwale i mówili o jego odejściu, którego miał dokonać w Jerozolimie.
32 And Peter and those who were along with Him, were burdened with sleep. And having watched through the night, they saw His glory and the two men who were standing with him.
A Piotra i tych, którzy z nim byli, zmógł sen. Gdy się obudzili, ujrzeli jego chwałę i tych dwóch mężów, którzy z nim stali.
33 It came to pass when they departed from Him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah: not knowing what he says.
Kiedy oni od niego odeszli, Piotr powiedział do Jezusa: Mistrzu, dobrze nam tu być. Postawmy więc trzy namioty: jeden dla ciebie, jeden dla Mojżesza i jeden dla Eliasza. Nie wiedział bowiem, co mówi.
34 And he speaking these things there was a cloud, and it overshadowed them; and they were afraid while they were entering into the cloud.
A gdy on to mówił, pojawił się obłok i zacienił ich. I zlękli się, kiedy oni wchodzili w obłok.
35 And there was a voice from the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear ye Him. And while the voice is heard, Jesus is found alone.
I rozległ się głos z obłoku: To jest mój umiłowany Syn, jego słuchajcie.
36 And they were silent, and they told no one during those days any of those things which they had seen
Gdy zaś ten głos się rozległ, okazało się, że Jezus jest sam. A oni milczeli i w tych dniach nikomu nie mówili nic o tym, co widzieli.
37 And it came to pass, on the following day, they having come down from the mountain, a multitude met Him.
Nazajutrz, gdy zeszli z góry, mnóstwo ludzi wyszło mu naprzeciw.
38 And behold, a man from the multitude cried out, saying, Teacher, I pray thee look upon my son, because he is to me an only child:
Nagle [jakiś] człowiek z tłumu zawołał: Nauczycielu, proszę cię, spójrz na mego syna, bo to mój jedynak.
39 and behold, the spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out; and he convulses him with foam, and scarcely departs from him, contorting him.
I oto duch dopada go, a on nagle krzyczy. Szarpie nim tak, że się pieni i potłukłszy go, niechętnie od niego odchodzi.
40 And I besought thy disciples, that they should cast him out; and they were not able.
I prosiłem twoich uczniów, aby go wypędzili, ale nie mogli.
41 And Jesus responding said, O ye faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and bear with you? Bring your son hither.
Wtedy Jezus odpowiedział: O pokolenie bez wiary i przewrotne! Jak długo będę z wami i [jak długo] mam was znosić? Przyprowadź tu swego syna.
42 And he yet coming, the demon dashed him down and convulsed him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child, and gave him to his father.
A gdy on jeszcze podchodził, powalił go demon i zaczął nim targać. Lecz Jezus zgromił ducha nieczystego, uzdrowił chłopca i oddał go jego ojcu.
43 And all were astonished at the majesty of God. And all being astonished at all things which Jesus did, He said to His disciples,
I zdumieli się wszyscy potęgą Boga. A gdy się dziwili wszystkiemu, co czynił Jezus, on powiedział do swoich uczniów:
44 You place these words in your ears: for the Son of man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.
Przyjmijcie te słowa do waszych uszu, Syn Człowieczy bowiem będzie wydany w ręce ludzi.
45 And they did not understand this word, and it was hidden from them, in order that they should not understand it: and they were afraid to ask Him concerning this word.
Lecz oni nie zrozumieli tych słów i były one zakryte przed nimi, tak że ich nie pojęli, a bali się go o nie zapytać.
46 And a dispute came in among them, as to which one of them might be the greater.
Wszczęła się też między nimi dyskusja [o tym], kto z nich jest największy.
47 And Jesus seeing the dispute of their heart, taking a little child, He placed it by Himself,
A Jezus, znając [tę] myśl ich serca, wziął dziecko, postawił je przy sobie;
48 and said to them, Whosoever may receive this little child in my name receives me; and whosoever may receive me receives him that sent me. For he who is least among you all, the same shall be great.
I powiedział do nich: Kto przyjmie to dziecko w moje imię, mnie przyjmuje, a kto mnie przyjmie, przyjmuje tego, który mnie posłał. Kto bowiem jest najmniejszy wśród was wszystkich, ten będzie wielki.
49 And John responding said, Master, we saw one casting out the demons in thy name; and we forbade him, because he does not follow with us.
Wtedy odezwał się Jan: Mistrzu, widzieliśmy kogoś, kto w twoim imieniu wypędzał demony i zabranialiśmy mu, bo nie chodzi z nami [za tobą].
50 And Jesus said to him, Forbid him not; for whosoever is not against us is on our side.
I powiedział do niego Jezus: Nie zabraniajcie [mu], bo kto nie jest przeciwko nam, ten jest z nami.
51 And it came to pass while the days of His taking up were being fulfilled, and He turned His face to go to Jerusalem,
A gdy wypełniły się dni, aby został wzięty w górę, [mocno] postanowił udać się do Jerozolimy.
52 and He sent messengers before His face. And they going forward, entered into a city of the Samaritans, in order to prepare for Him;
I wysłał przed sobą posłańców. [Poszli więc] i weszli do wioski Samarytan, aby przygotować dla niego [miejsce].
53 and they did not receive Him, because His face was going toward Jerusalem.
Lecz nie przyjęto go, ponieważ zmierzał do Jerozolimy.
54 And the disciples James and John, seeing, said, Lord, do you wish that we may command fire to descend from heaven and consume them?
A jego uczniowie Jakub i Jan, widząc to, powiedzieli: Panie, czy chcesz, żebyśmy rozkazali, aby ogień zstąpił z nieba i pochłonął ich, jak [to] uczynił Eliasz?
55 And He turning, rebuked them.
Lecz [Jezus], odwróciwszy się, zgromił ich i powiedział: Nie wiecie, jakiego jesteście ducha.
56 And they went into another village.
Syn Człowieczy bowiem nie przyszedł zatracać dusz ludzkich, ale [je] zbawić. I poszli do innej wioski.
57 And they going on the way, a certain one said to Him, Lord, I will follow thee wheresoever thou mayest go.
Kiedy byli w drodze, ktoś powiedział do niego: Panie, pójdę za tobą, dokądkolwiek się udasz.
58 And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of heaven nests; but the Son of man has not a place where He may recline His head.
Jezus mu odpowiedział: Lisy mają nory, a ptaki niebieskie – gniazda, ale Syn Człowieczy nie ma gdzie położyć głowy.
59 And He said to another, Follow thou me. And he said, Lord, permit me first having gone away to bury my father.
Do innego zaś powiedział: Pójdź za mną! Ale on rzekł: Panie, pozwól mi najpierw odejść i pogrzebać mego ojca.
60 And Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their dead; but thou having gone away proclaim the kingdom of God.
Lecz Jezus mu odpowiedział: Niech umarli grzebią swoich umarłych, a ty idź i głoś królestwo Boże.
61 And another said to Him, Lord, I will follow thee; but first permit me to bid adieu to those at my own home.
Jeszcze inny powiedział: Pójdę za tobą, Panie, ale pozwól mi najpierw pożegnać się z tymi, którzy są w moim domu.
62 And Jesus said to him, No one putting his hand to the plow, and looking back, is worthy of the kingdom of God.
Jezus mu odpowiedział: Nikt, kto przykłada swoją rękę do pługa i ogląda się wstecz, nie nadaje się do królestwa Bożego.
