Luke 5
1 And it came to pass, while the multitude is pressing on Him to hear the word of God, and He was standing by the lake of Gennesaret;
Pewnego razu, gdy ludzie cisnęli się do niego, aby słuchać słowa Bożego, on stał nad jeziorem Genezaret.
2 and He saw two ships standing by the lake: the fishermen, having gone from them, were washing their nets.
I zobaczył dwie łodzie stojące przy [brzegu] jeziora, a rybacy, wyszedłszy z nich, płukali sieci.
3 And having come into one of the ships, which belonged to Simon, He asked him to lead out a little from the land, and sitting down He was teaching the multitudes from the ship.
Wsiadł do jednej z tych łodzi, która należała do Szymona, i poprosił go, aby trochę odpłynął od brzegu. A usiadłszy, nauczał ludzi z łodzi.
4 When He ceased speaking He said to Simon, Lead out into the deep, and spread your nets for a draught.
Kiedy przestał mówić, zwrócił się do Szymona: Wypłyń na głębię i zarzućcie wasze sieci na połów.
5 And Simon responding said to Him, Master, having toiled all night, we caught nothing: but at thy word I will spread the net.
A Szymon mu odpowiedział: Mistrzu, przez całą noc pracowaliśmy i nic nie złowiliśmy, ale na twoje słowo zarzucę sieć.
6 And having done this, they caught a great multitude of fishes; and their net was breaking;
A gdy to zrobili, zagarnęli wielkie mnóstwo ryb, tak że sieć im się rwała.
7 and they beckoned to their comrades in another ship, having come to assist them, And they came, and filled both ships, so as to sink them.
Skinęli więc na towarzyszy, którzy byli w drugiej łodzi, aby przybyli i pomogli im. A oni przypłynęli i napełnili obie łodzie, tak że się zanurzały.
8 And Simon Peter, seeing, fell down at the knees of Jesus, saying; Depart from me, Lord, because I am a sinful man,
Widząc to, Szymon Piotr przypadł do kolan Jezusa i powiedział: Odejdź ode mnie, Panie, bo jestem grzesznym człowiekiem.
9 For fear took hold of him, and all of those with him, at the draught of fishes which they received.
I jego bowiem, i wszystkich, którzy z nim byli, ogarnęło zdumienie z [powodu] połowu ryb, jakiego dokonali.
10 And likewise James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were companions to Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Fear not; from now you shall be catching men.
Podobnie też Jakuba i Jana, synów Zebedeusza, którzy byli towarzyszami Szymona. I powiedział Jezus do Szymona: Nie bój się, odtąd będziesz łowił ludzi.
11 And drawing up their ships to the land, having left all things, they followed Him.
A oni, wyciągnąwszy łódź na brzeg, zostawili wszystko i poszli za nim.
12 And it came to pass, while He was in one of the cities, and behold, there is a man full of leprosy: and seeing Jesus, having fallen on his face, he prayed to Him, saying, Lord, if you may will it, you are able to cleanse me.
A gdy przebywał w pewnym mieście, [był tam] człowiek cały pokryty trądem. Kiedy zobaczył Jezusa, upadł na twarz i prosił go: Panie, jeśli chcesz, możesz mnie oczyścić.
13 And reaching out His hand, He touched him, saying, I will; be thou cleansed. And immediately the leprosy departed from him.
Wtedy Jezus wyciągnął rękę, dotknął go i powiedział: Chcę, bądź oczyszczony. I natychmiast trąd go opuścił.
14 And He commanded him to tell no one: but having gone away, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
Potem przykazał mu, aby nikomu o tym nie mówił. [I dodał]: Ale idź, pokaż się kapłanowi i ofiaruj za swoje oczyszczenie, jak nakazał Mojżesz, na świadectwo dla nich.
15 And the word concerning Him was going abroad: and many multitudes continued to come, and be healed of their diseases by Him.
Lecz wieść o nim jeszcze bardziej się rozchodziła. I schodziły się wielkie tłumy, aby go słuchać i aby ich uzdrowił z chorób.
16 And He was out in the deserts, and praying.
A on odchodził na pustynię i modlił się.
17 And He was in one of the cities, and was teaching; and there were many Pharisees and theologians, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
Pewnego dnia, gdy nauczał, siedzieli tam też faryzeusze i nauczyciele prawa, którzy się zeszli ze wszystkich miasteczek Galilei, Judei i Jerozolimy. A moc Pana była [obecna], aby ich uzdrawiać.
18 And behold, men carrying a man on a couch, who was paralyzed; and were seeking to bring him in, and place him before Him.
A oto [jacyś] mężczyźni nieśli na posłaniu sparaliżowanego. Szukali [sposobu, jak] go wnieść i położyć przed nim.
19 And not having found by what way they may bring him in on account of the crowd, going upon the house, they let him down through the tiles along with the bed in their midst in the presence of Jesus.
Gdy jednak z powodu tłumu nie znaleźli [drogi], którą by go mogli wnieść, weszli na dach i przez dachówkę spuścili go z posłaniem w sam środek, przed Jezusa.
20 And seeing their faith, He said to him; Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
On, widząc ich wiarę, powiedział mu: Człowieku, przebaczone ci są twoje grzechy.
21 And the scribes and Pharisees began to reason, Who is this one who speaketh blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins, except God only?
Wtedy uczeni w Piśmie i faryzeusze zaczęli się zastanawiać i mówić: Kim jest ten, który mówi bluźnierstwa? Któż może przebaczać grzechy oprócz samego Boga?
22 And having responded He said to them, Why do you reason in your hearts?
Ale Jezus, poznawszy ich myśli, odpowiedział im: Co myślicie w waszych sercach?
23 Which is the easier, to say, Thy sins are forgiven unto thee; or, to say. Arise and walk about?
Cóż jest łatwiej powiedzieć: Przebaczone ci są twoje grzechy, czy powiedzieć: Wstań i chodź?
24 But in order that you may know that the Son of man has power on earth to forgive sins, (He said to the paralyzed), I say unto thee, Arise, and having taken thy bed, go into thy house.
Lecz abyście wiedzieli, że Syn Człowieczy ma na ziemi moc przebaczać grzechy – powiedział do sparaliżowanego: Mówię ci: Wstań, weź swoje posłanie i idź do domu.
25 And immediately having arisen before them, taking the bed on which he was lying down, he went away to his own house, glorifying God.
A on natychmiast wstał na ich oczach, wziął to, na czym leżał, i poszedł do domu, wielbiąc Boga.
26 And rapture seized them all, and they continued to glorify God; and they were filled with fear, saying, that, We have seen the paradoxical this day.
Wtedy wszyscy się zdumieli, chwalili Boga i pełni lęku mówili: Widzieliśmy dziś dziwne rzeczy.
27 And after these things He came out, and saw a publican, by name Levi, sitting at the toll, and He said to him, Follow me.
Potem wyszedł i zobaczył celnika, imieniem Lewi, siedzącego w punkcie celnym, i powiedział do niego: Pójdź za mną.
28 And having left all things, rising up, he followed Him.
A on zostawił wszystko, wstał i poszedł za nim.
29 And Levi made a great feast for Him in his own house: and there was a great multitude of publicans and others who were sitting along with Him.
I przygotował mu Lewi wielką ucztę w swoim domu. A była [tam] wielka grupa celników i innych, którzy zasiedli z nimi za stołem.
30 And their scribes and the Pharisees were murmuring to His disciples, saying, Wherefore do you eat and drink with publicans and, sinners?
A uczeni w Piśmie i faryzeusze szemrali, mówiąc do jego uczniów: Dlaczego jecie i pijecie z celnikami i grzesznikami?
31 And Jesus responding said to them, They that are whole have not need of a physician, but they that are sick;
Jezus zaś im odpowiedział: Nie zdrowi, lecz chorzy potrzebują lekarza.
32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Nie przyszedłem wzywać do pokuty sprawiedliwych, ale grzeszników.
33 And they said to Him, Wherefore do the disciples of John fast, and make supplications; likewise also those of the Pharisees; but thy disciples eat and drink?
I zapytali go: Dlaczego uczniowie Jana często poszczą i modlą się, podobnie [uczniowie] faryzeuszy, a twoi jedzą i piją?
34 And He said to them, Whether are you able to make the sons of the bridechamber to fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
A on im odpowiedział: Czy możecie sprawić, żeby przyjaciele oblubieńca pościli, dopóki jest z nimi oblubieniec?
35 But the days will come when the bridegroom must indeed be taken away from them, then will they fast in those days.
Lecz przyjdą dni, gdy oblubieniec zostanie od nich zabrany, wtedy, w te dni, będą pościć.
36 He also spoke a parable to them; Let no one put a piece of new cloth on an old garment; lest the new shall tear it, and the piece from the new will not fit the old.
Opowiedział im też przypowieść: Nikt nie przyszywa łaty z nowej szaty do starej, bo inaczej to, co jest nowe, drze [stare], a do starego nie nadaje się łata z nowego.
37 And no one puts new wine into old bottles; lest the new wine shall break the bottles, and it shall be poured out, and the bottles shall perish:
I nikt nie wlewa młodego wina do starych bukłaków, bo inaczej młode wino rozsadzi bukłaki i samo wycieknie, a bukłaki się popsują.
38 but the new wine is to be put into new bottles, and both will be preserved.
Ale młode wino należy wlewać do nowych bukłaków i tak zachowuje się jedno i drugie.
39 No one drinking the old immediately wishes the new; for he says, The old is better.
Nikt też, kto napił się starego, nie chce od razu młodego. Mówi bowiem: Stare jest lepsze.
