Luke 22
1 And the feast of the unleavened bread, called the passover, was nigh.
อปรญฺจ กิณฺวศูนฺยปูโปตฺสวสฺย กาล อุปสฺถิเต
2 And the chief priests and scribes were seeking how they might kill Him; for they feared the people.
ปฺรธานยาชกา อธฺยายกาศฺจ ยถา ตํ หนฺตุํ ศกฺนุวนฺติ ตโถปายามฺ อเจษฺฏนฺต กินฺตุ โลเกโภฺย พิภฺยุ: ฯ
3 And Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
เอตสฺตินฺ สมเย ทฺวาทศศิเษฺยษุ คณิต อีษฺกริโยตียรูฒิมานฺ โย ยิหูทาสฺตสฺยานฺต: กรณํ ไศตานาศฺริตตฺวาตฺ
4 And having gone away, he spoke with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might betray Him to them.
ส คตฺวา ยถา ยีศุํ เตษำ กเรษุ สมรฺปยิตุํ ศกฺโนติ ตถา มนฺตฺรณำ ปฺรธานยาชไก: เสนาปติภิศฺจ สห จการฯ
5 And they rejoiced, and promised to give him money.
เตน เต ตุษฺฏาสฺตไสฺม มุทฺรำ ทาตุํ ปณํ จกฺรุ: ฯ
6 And he promised them, and was seeking an opportunity to deliver Him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
ตต: โสงฺคีกฺฤตฺย ยถา โลกานามโคจเร ตํ ปรกเรษุ สมรฺปยิตุํ ศกฺโนติ ตถาวกาศํ เจษฺฏิตุมาเรเภฯ
7 And the day of the unleavened bread came, in which it behooved to slay the passover.
อถ กิณฺวศูนฺยปูโปตฺมวทิเน, อรฺถาตฺ ยสฺมินฺ ทิเน นิสฺตาโรตฺสวสฺย เมโษ หนฺตวฺยสฺตสฺมินฺ ทิเน
8 And He sent Peter and John, saying, Going prepare for us the passover, in order that we may eat it.
ยีศุ: ปิตรํ โยหนญฺจาหูย ชคาท, ยุวำ คตฺวาสฺมากํ โภชนารฺถํ นิสฺตาโรตฺสวสฺย ทฺรวฺยาณฺยาสาทยตํฯ
9 And they said to Him, Where do you wish that we may prepare it?
ตทา เตา ปปฺรจฺฉตุ: กุจาสาทยาโว ภวต: เกจฺฉา?
10 And He said to them, Behold, you having come into the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he is going.
ตทา โสวาทีตฺ, นคเร ปฺรวิษฺเฏ กศฺจิชฺชลกุมฺภมาทาย ยุวำ สากฺษาตฺ กริษฺยติ ส ยนฺนิเวศนํ ปฺรวิศติ ยุวามปิ ตนฺนิเวศนํ ตตฺปศฺจาทิตฺวา นิเวศนปติมฺ อิติ วากฺยํ วทตํ,
11 And say to the landlord, The Teacher says to thee, Where is the guest-chamber, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?
ยตฺราหํ นิสฺตาโรตฺสวสฺย โภชฺยํ ศิไษฺย: สารฺทฺธํ โภกฺตุํ ศกฺโนมิ สาติถิศาลา กุตฺร? กถามิมำ ปฺรภุสฺตฺวำ ปฺฤจฺฉติฯ
12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished: there prepare.
ตต: ส ชโน ทฺวิตียปฺรโกษฺฐียมฺ เอกํ ศสฺตํ โกษฺฐํ ทรฺศยิษฺยติ ตตฺร โภชฺยมาสาทยตํฯ
13 And having gone away, they found as He told them; and prepared the passover.
ตตเสฺตา คตฺวา ตทฺวากฺยานุสาเรณ สรฺวฺวํ ทฺฤษฺทฺวา ตตฺร นิสฺตาโรตฺสวียํ โภชฺยมาสาทยามาสตุ: ฯ
14 And when the hour arrived, He sat down and the apostles along with Him.
อถ กาล อุปสฺถิเต ยีศุ รฺทฺวาทศภิ: เปฺรริไต: สห โภกฺตุมุปวิศฺย กถิตวานฺ
15 And He said to them, I desired with desire to eat this passover with you before I suffer: for I say to you,
มม ทุ: ขโภคาตฺ ปูรฺวฺวํ ยุภาภิ: สห นิสฺตาโรตฺสวไสฺยตสฺย โภชฺยํ โภกฺตุํ มยาติวาญฺฉา กฺฤตาฯ
16 I eat this no more, until it may be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
ยุษฺมานฺ วทามิ, ยาวตฺกาลมฺ อีศฺวรราเชฺย โภชนํ น กริเษฺย ตาวตฺกาลมฺ อิทํ น โภกฺเษฺยฯ
17 And receiving the cup, having given thanks, He said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves;
ตทา ส ปานปาตฺรมาทาย อีศฺวรสฺย คุณานฺ กีรฺตฺตยิตฺวา เตโภฺย ทตฺวาวทตฺ, อิทํ คฺฤหฺลีต ยูยํ วิภชฺย ปิวตฯ
18 for I say to you, I shall from now drink no more from the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God may come.
ยุษฺมานฺ วทามิ ยาวตฺกาลมฺ อีศฺวรราชตฺวสฺย สํสฺถาปนํ น ภวติ ตาวทฺ ทฺรากฺษาผลรสํ น ปาสฺยามิฯ
19 And taking bread, blessing it, He broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body given for you: do this in remembrance of me.
ตต: ปูปํ คฺฤหีตฺวา อีศฺวรคุณานฺ กีรฺตฺตยิตฺวา ภงฺกฺตา เตโภฺย ทตฺวาวทตฺ, ยุษฺมทรฺถํ สมรฺปิตํ ยนฺมม วปุสฺตทิทํ, เอตตฺ กรฺมฺม มม สฺมรณารฺถํ กุรุธฺวํฯ
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out in your behalf.
อถ โภชนานฺเต ตาทฺฤศํ ปาตฺรํ คฺฤหีตฺวาวทตฺ, ยุษฺมตฺกฺฤเต ปาติตํ ยนฺมม รกฺตํ เตน นิรฺณีตนวนิยมรูปํ ปานปาตฺรมิทํฯ
21 Moreover behold, the hand of the one betraying me is with me at the table.
ปศฺยต โย มำ ปรกเรษุ สมรฺปยิษฺยติ ส มยา สห โภชนาสน อุปวิศติฯ
22 Indeed the Son of man goes, according to that which has been appointed: but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!
ยถา นิรูปิตมาเสฺต ตทนุสาเรณา มนุษฺยปุตฺรสฺย คติ รฺภวิษฺยติ กินฺตุ ยสฺตํ ปรกเรษุ สมรฺปยิษฺยติ ตสฺย สนฺตาโป ภวิษฺยติฯ
23 And they began to inquire among themselves, who then of them is the one of them about to do this.
ตทา เตษำ โก ชน เอตตฺ กรฺมฺม กริษฺยติ ตตฺ เต ปรสฺปรํ ปฺรษฺฏุมาเรภิเรฯ
24 And there was a contention among them, which one of them seems to be the greater,
อปรํ เตษำ โก ชน: เศฺรษฺฐเตฺวน คณยิษฺยเต, อตฺรารฺเถ เตษำ วิวาโทภวตฺฯ
25 And He said to them, The kings of the Gentiles domineer over them; and those exercising authority over them are called Benefactors.
อสฺมาตฺ การณาตฺ โสวทตฺ, อนฺยเทศียานำ ราชาน: ปฺรชานามุปริ ปฺรภุตฺวํ กุรฺวฺวนฺติ ทารุณศาสนํ กฺฤตฺวาปิ เต ภูปติเตฺวน วิขฺยาตา ภวนฺติ จฯ
26 But you are not thus: but let the greater among you be as the younger; and the leader as the waiter.
กินฺตุ ยุษฺมากํ ตถา น ภวิษฺยติ, โย ยุษฺมากํ เศฺรษฺโฐ ภวิษฺยติ ส กนิษฺฐวทฺ ภวตุ, ยศฺจ มุโขฺย ภวิษฺยติ ส เสวกวทฺภวตุฯ
27 For which is the greater, he that sitteth at the table, or the waiter? is not the one sitting? but I am in the midst of you as the waiter.
โภชโนปวิษฺฏปริจารกโย: ก: เศฺรษฺฐ: ? โย โภชนาโยปวิศติ ส กึ เศฺรษฺโฐ น ภวติ? กินฺตุ ยุษฺมากํ มเธฺย'หํ ปริจารกอิวาสฺมิฯ
28 But you are those who have remained with me in my temptations.
อปรญฺจ ยุยํ มม ปรีกฺษากาเล ปฺรถมมารภฺย มยา สห สฺถิตา
29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father appointed unto me,
เอตตฺการณาตฺ ปิตฺรา ยถา มทรฺถํ ราชฺยเมกํ นิรูปิตํ ตถาหมปิ ยุษฺมทรฺถํ ราชฺยํ นิรูปยามิฯ
30 in order that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and you shall sit upon thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
ตสฺมานฺ มม ราเชฺย โภชนาสเน จ โภชนปาเน กริษฺยเธฺว สึหาสเนษูปวิศฺย เจสฺราเยลียานำ ทฺวาทศวํศานำ วิจารํ กริษฺยเธฺวฯ
31 Simon, Simon, behold, Satan sought you out, to sift you as wheat:
อปรํ ปฺรภุรุวาจ, เห ศิโมนฺ ปศฺย ติตอุนา ธานฺยานีว ยุษฺมานฺ ไศตานฺ จาลยิตุมฺ ไอจฺฉตฺ,
32 but I prayed for you, that your faith may not fail you: and thou, when having turned, strengthen thy brethren:
กินฺตุ ตว วิศฺวาสสฺย โลโป ยถา น ภวติ เอตตฺ ตฺวทรฺถํ ปฺรารฺถิตํ มยา, ตฺวนฺมนสิ ปริวรฺตฺติเต จ ภฺราตฺฤณำ มนำสิ สฺถิรีกุรุฯ
33 but he said to Him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee to prison and to death.
ตทา โสวทตฺ, เห ปฺรโภหํ ตฺวยา สารฺทฺธํ การำ มฺฤติญฺจ ยาตุํ มชฺชิโตสฺมิฯ
34 And He said; I say unto thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
ตต: ส อุวาจ, เห ปิตร ตฺวำ วทามิ, อทฺย กุกฺกุฏรวาตฺ ปูรฺวฺวํ ตฺวํ มตฺปริจยํ วารตฺรยมฺ อปโหฺวษฺยเสฯ
35 Then He said to them, When I sent you without purse, and valise, and sandals, did you lack anything? And they said; Nothing.
อปรํ ส ปปฺรจฺฉ, ยทา มุทฺราสมฺปุฏํ ขาทฺยปาตฺรํ ปาทุกาญฺจ วินา ยุษฺมานฺ ปฺราหิณวํ ตทา ยุษฺมากํ กสฺยาปิ นฺยูนตาสีตฺ? เต โปฺรจุ: กสฺยาปิ นฯ
36 And He said to them; But now, let the one having a purse, take it, likewise also valise: and let the one having no sword, sell his cloak and buy one.
ตทา โสวทตฺ กินฺตฺวิทานีํ มุทฺราสมฺปุฏํ ขาทฺยปาตฺรํ วา ยสฺยาสฺติ เตน ตทฺคฺรหีตวฺยํ, ยสฺย จ กฺฤปาโณ นาสฺติ เตน สฺววสฺตฺรํ วิกฺรีย ส เกฺรตวฺย: ฯ
37 For I say unto you, that it behooves that which has been written to be perfected in me, this, And He was numbered with the transgressors: for indeed that which is concerning me has an end.
ยโต ยุษฺมานหํ วทามิ, อปราธิชไน: สารฺทฺธํ คณิต: ส ภวิษฺยติฯ อิทํ ยจฺฉาสฺตฺรียํ วจนํ ลิขิตมสฺติ ตนฺมยิ ผลิษฺยติ ยโต มม สมฺพนฺธียํ สรฺวฺวํ เสตฺสฺยติฯ
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And He said to them, It is sufficient.
ตทา เต โปฺรจุ: ปฺรโภ ปศฺย อิเมา กฺฤปาเณาฯ ตต: โสวททฺ เอเตา ยเถษฺเฏาฯ
39 And having gone out, He departed, according to custom, into the Mount of Olives; and His disciples followed Him.
อถ ส ตสฺมาทฺวหิ รฺคตฺวา สฺวาจารานุสาเรณ ไชตุนนามาทฺรึ ชคาม ศิษฺยาศฺจ ตตฺปศฺจาทฺ ยยุ: ฯ
40 He being at the place, He said to them, Pray that you enter not into temptation.
ตโตฺรปสฺถาย ส ตานุวาจ, ยถา ปรีกฺษายำ น ปตถ ตทรฺถํ ปฺรารฺถยธฺวํฯ
41 And He was separated from them about a stone's cast; and putting down His knees, continued to pray,
ปศฺจาตฺ ส ตสฺมาทฺ เอกศรกฺเษปาทฺ พหิ รฺคตฺวา ชานุนี ปาตยิตฺวา เอตตฺ ปฺรารฺถยาญฺจเกฺร,
42 saying, Father, if this cup is willing to pass from me; moreover let not my will, but thine be done.
เห ปิต รฺยทิ ภวานฺ สมฺมนฺยเต ตรฺหิ กํสเมนํ มมานฺติกาทฺ ทูรย กินฺตุ มทิจฺฉานุรูปํ น ตฺวทิจฺฉานุรูปํ ภวตุฯ
43 And an angel from heaven appeared unto Him, strengthening Him.
ตทา ตไสฺม ศกฺตึ ทาตุํ สฺวรฺคียทูโต ทรฺศนํ ทเทาฯ
44 And being in agony He continued to pray the more earnestly. And His sweat was like drops of blood falling down upon the ground.
ปศฺจาตฺ โสตฺยนฺตํ ยาตนยา วฺยากุโล ภูตฺวา ปุนรฺทฺฤฒํ ปฺรารฺถยาญฺจเกฺร, ตสฺมาทฺ พฺฤหจฺโฉณิตพินฺทว อิว ตสฺย เสฺวทพินฺทว: ปฺฤถิวฺยำ ปติตุมาเรภิเรฯ
45 And having risen from prayer, having come to His disciples, He found them sleeping on account of weariness,
อถ ปฺรารฺถนาต อุตฺถาย ศิษฺยาณำ สมีปเมตฺย ตานฺ มโนทุ: ขิโน นิทฺริตานฺ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวาวทตฺ
46 and He said to them, Why do you sleep? Arising pray, that you may not enter into temptation.
กุโต นิทฺราถ? ปรีกฺษายามฺ อปตนารฺถํ ปฺรรฺถยธฺวํฯ
47 And He still speaking, behold, a multitude and the one called Judas, one of the twelve, was coming before them; and he drew near to Jesus to kiss Him.
เอตตฺกถายา: กถนกาเล ทฺวาทศศิษฺยาณำ มเธฺย คณิโต ยิหูทานามา ชนตาสหิตเสฺตษามฺ อเคฺร จลิตฺวา ยีโศศฺจุมฺพนารฺถํ ตทนฺติกมฺ อายเยาฯ
48 And Jesus said to him, Judas, do you betray the Son of man with a kiss?
ตทา ยีศุรุวาจ, เห ยิหูทา กึ จุมฺพเนน มนุษฺยปุตฺรํ ปรกเรษุ สมรฺปยสิ?
49 And those around Him seeing what was coming on Him, said, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
ตทา ยทฺยทฺ ฆฏิษฺยเต ตทนุมาย สงฺคิภิรุกฺตํ, เห ปฺรโภ วยํ กิ ขงฺเคน ฆาตยิษฺยาม: ?
50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
ตต เอก: กรวาเลนาหตฺย ปฺรธานยาชกสฺย ทาสสฺย ทกฺษิณํ กรฺณํ จิจฺเฉทฯ
51 And Jesus responding said, Hold on until this: and touching his ear, healed him.
อธูนา นิวรฺตฺตสฺว อิตฺยุกฺตฺวา ยีศุสฺตสฺย ศฺรุตึ สฺปฺฤษฺฏฺวา สฺวสฺยํ จการฯ
52 Jesus said to the high priests, and magistrates of the temple, and elders who were assembled to Him; You have come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs.
ปศฺจาทฺ ยีศุ: สมีปสฺถานฺ ปฺรธานยาชกานฺ มนฺทิรสฺย เสนาปตีนฺ ปฺราจีนำศฺจ ชคาท, ยูยํ กฺฤปาณานฺ ยษฺฏีํศฺจ คฺฤหีตฺวา มำ กึ โจรํ ธรฺตฺตุมายาตา: ?
53 I being daily with you in the temple, you reached not out your hands unto me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
ยทาหํ ยุษฺมาภิ: สห ปฺรติทินํ มนฺทิเร'ติษฺฐํ ตทา มำ ธรฺตฺตํ น ปฺรวฺฤตฺตา: , กินฺตฺวิทานีํ ยุษฺมากํ สมโยนฺธการสฺย จาธิปตฺยมสฺติฯ
54 And taking Him, they led Him away, and led Him into the house of the chief priest. And Peter followed Him a long way off.
อถ เต ตํ ธฺฤตฺวา มหายาชกสฺย นิเวศนํ นินฺยุ: ฯ ตต: ปิตโร ทูเร ทูเร ปศฺจาทิตฺวา
55 And having lighted a fire in the midst of the court, and they sitting together, Peter was sitting in the midst of them.
พฺฤหตฺโกษฺฐสฺย มเธฺย ยตฺราคฺนึ ชฺวาลยิตฺวา โลกา: สเมโตฺยปวิษฺฏาสฺตตฺร ไต: สารฺทฺธมฺ อุปวิเวศฯ
56 And a certain maidservant, seeing him sitting at the fire, and fixing her eyes on him, said, This man was with Him.
อถ วหฺนิสนฺนิเธา สมุปเวศกาเล กาจิทฺทาสี มโน นิวิศฺย ตํ นิรีกฺษฺยาวทตฺ ปุมานยํ ตสฺย สงฺเค'สฺถาตฺฯ
57 And he denied Him, saying, Woman, I know Him not.
กินฺตุ ส ตทฺ อปหฺนุตฺยาวาทีตฺ เห นาริ ตมหํ น ปริจิโนมิฯ
58 And after a brief interval another seeing him, said, Truly, thou art one of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
กฺษณานฺตเร'นฺยชนสฺตํ ทฺฤษฺฏฺวาพฺรวีตฺ ตฺวมปิ เตษำ นิกรไสฺยกชโนสิฯ ปิตร: ปฺรตฺยุวาจ เห นร นาหมสฺมิฯ
59 And about one hour having elapsed, a certain other man accosted him, saying, He was truly with Him: for he is a Galilean.
ตต: สารฺทฺธทณฺฑทฺวยาตฺ ปรํ ปุนรโนฺย ชโน นิศฺจิตฺย พภาเษ, เอษ ตสฺย สงฺคีติ สตฺยํ ยโตยํ คาลีลีโย โลก: ฯ
60 And Peter said, Man, I know Him not. And immediately, he yet speaking, the cock crew.
ตทา ปิตร อุวาจ เห นร ตฺวํ ยทฺ วทมิ ตทหํ โพทฺธุํ น ศกฺโนมิ, อิติ วาเกฺย กถิตมาเตฺร กุกฺกุโฏ รุราวฯ
61 And the Lord turning, looked upon Peter; and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He said to him, that, Before the cock shall crow thou shalt deny me thrice.
ตทา ปฺรภุณา วฺยาธุฏฺย ปิตเร นิรีกฺษิเต กฺฤกวากุรวาตฺ ปูรฺวฺวํ มำ ตฺริรปโหฺนษฺยเส อิติ ปูรฺโวฺวกฺตํ ตสฺย วากฺยํ ปิตร: สฺมฺฤตฺวา
62 And having gone out, he wept bitterly.
พหิรฺคตฺวา มหาเขเทน จกฺรนฺทฯ
63 And the men having Him, began to mock, beating Him,
ตทา ไย รฺยีศุรฺธฺฤตเสฺต ตมุปหสฺย ปฺรหรฺตฺตุมาเรภิเรฯ
64 and covering Him, they continued to ask saying, Prophesy, who is the one smiting thee.
วสฺเตฺรณ ตสฺย ทฺฤเศา พทฺธฺวา กโปเล จเปฏาฆาตํ กฺฤตฺวา ปปฺรจฺฉุ: , กเสฺต กโปเล จเปฏาฆาตํ กฺฤตวาน? คณยิตฺวา ตทฺ วทฯ
65 And blaspheming, they continued to speak many other things against Him.
ตทนฺยตฺ ตทฺวิรุทฺธํ พหุนินฺทาวากฺยํ วกฺตุมาเรภิเรฯ
66 And when it was day, the eldership of the people was convened, and the chief priests and scribes, and they led Him into their sanhedrim.
อถ ปฺรภาเต สติ โลกปฺราญฺจ: ปฺรธานยาชกา อธฺยาปกาศฺจ สภำ กฺฤตฺวา มเธฺยสภํ ยีศุมานีย ปปฺรจฺฉุ: , ตฺวมฺ อภิษิกโตสิ น วาสฺมานฺ วทฯ
67 Saying, If thou art the Christ, tell us. And He said to them, If I may tell you, you will not believe:
ส ปฺรตฺยุวาจ, มยา ตสฺมินฺนุกฺเต'ปิ ยูยํ น วิศฺวสิษฺยถฯ
68 and if indeed I will ask you, you will not respond to me, or release me.
กสฺมึศฺจิทฺวาเกฺย ยุษฺมานฺ ปฺฤษฺเฏ'ปิ มำ น ตทุตฺตรํ วกฺษฺยถ น มำ ตฺยกฺษฺยถ จฯ
69 And from now the Son of man shall be sitting on the right hand of the power of God.
กินฺตฺวิต: ปรํ มนุชสุต: สรฺวฺวศกฺติมต อีศฺวรสฺย ทกฺษิเณ ปารฺเศฺว สมุปเวกฺษฺยติฯ
70 And all said, Art thou the Son of God? And He said to them, You say that I am.
ตตเสฺต ปปฺรจฺฉุ: , รฺติห ตฺวมีศฺวรสฺย ปุตฺร: ? ส กถยามาส, ยูยํ ยถารฺถํ วทถ ส เอวาหํฯ
71 And they said, Why have we yet need of testimony? for we heard from His own mouth.
ตทา เต สรฺเวฺว กถยามาสุ: , รฺติห สากฺเษฺย'นฺสสฺมินฺ อสฺมากํ กึ ปฺรโยชนํ? อสฺย สฺวมุขาเทว สากฺษฺยํ ปฺราปฺตมฺฯ
