Luke 10
1 After these things the Lord chose seventy others also, and sent them out two by two before His face, into every place and city, where He was about to come.
১এর পরে প্রভু আরও সত্তর জনকে নিযুক্ত করলেন, আর তিনি যেখানে যেখানে যাবেন বলে ঠিক করতেন, সেই সমস্ত শহরে ও জায়গায় তাঁর যাওয়ার আগে দুই জন দুই জন করে তাদের পাঠালেন।
2 And He said to them, The harvest is indeed great, but the laborers are few: therefore pray you the Lord of the harvest, that He may send forth laborers into His harvest.
২তিনি তাদের বললেন, “ফসল প্রচুর বটে, কিন্তু কাটার লোক অল্প, এই জন্য ফসলের মালিকের কাছে প্রার্থনা কর, যেন তিনি নিজের শস্য ক্ষেত্রে লোক পাঠিয়ে দেন।”
3 Go: behold, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves.
৩তোমরা যাও। দেখ, নেকড়েদের মধ্যে যেমন মেষ শাবক, তেমনি আমিও তোমাদের পাঠাচ্ছি।
4 Take neither purse, nor valise, nor sandals: salute no one by the way.
৪তোমরা টাকার থলি কি ঝুলি কি জুতো সঙ্গে নিয়ে যেও না এবং রাস্তায় কাউকেই শুভেচ্ছা জানিও না।
5 Into whatsoever house you may enter, first say, Peace be unto this house.
৫আর যে কোন বাড়িতে প্রবেশ করবে, প্রথমে বলো, এই বাড়ির শান্তি হোক।
6 And if the son of peace may be there, your peace shall rest upon it: but if not, it shall return unto you.
৬আর সেখানে যদি শান্তির সন্তান থাকে, তবে তোমাদের শান্তি তার সঙ্গে থাকবে, না হলে তোমাদের কাছে ফিরে আসবে।
7 Abide in the same house, eating and drinking those things which are with them: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
৭আর সেই বাড়িতেই থেকো এবং তারা যা দেয়, তাই খেও ও পান কোর, কারণ কর্মচারী তার বেতনের যোগ্য! এক বাড়ি থেকে অন্য বাড়িতে যেও না।
8 Into whatsoever city you may enter and they may receive you, eat those things which are placed by you:
৮আর তোমরা যে কোন শহরে প্রবেশ কর, লোকেরা যদি তোমাদের গ্রহণ করে, তবে যা তোমাদের সামনে খাওয়ার জন্য রাখা হবে, তাই খেও।
9 and heal the sick who are in it, and say to them, The kingdom of God has come nigh unto you.
৯আর সেখানকার অসুস্থদের সুস্থ করো এবং তাদেরকে বলো, ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য তোমাদের কাছে এসে পড়েছে।
10 And into whatsoever city you may enter, and they may not receive you, having come out into the streets of the same, say,
১০কিন্তু তোমরা যে কোন শহরে প্রবেশ কর, লোকে যদি তোমাদেরকে গ্রহণ না করে, তবে বের হয়ে সেই শহরের রাস্তায় রাস্তায় গিয়ে এই কথা বলো,
11 Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to our feet, do we wipe off against you: but know this, that the kingdom of God is at hand.
১১তোমাদের শহরের যে ধূলো আমাদের পায়ে লেগেছে, তাও তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে ঝেড়ে দিই, কিন্তু এটা জেনে রাখো যে, ঈশ্বরের রাজ্য খুব কাছে এসে পড়েছে।
12 For I say unto you, that it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom than for that city.
১২আমি তোমাদের বলছি, সেই দিন সেই শহরের দশা থেকে বরং সদোমের দশা সহনীয় হবে।
13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works which were wrought in you had been in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting down in sackcloth and ashes.
১৩কোরাসীন, ধিক তোমাকে! বৈৎসদা, ধিক তোমাকে! কারণ তোমাদের মধ্যে যে সব অলৌকিক কাজ করা হয়েছে, সে সব যদি সোর ও সীদোনে করা যেত, তবে অনেকদিন আগে তারা চট পরে ছাইয়ে বসে মন ফেরাত।
14 Moreover it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you.
১৪কিন্তু বিচারে তোমাদের দশা হতে বরং সোর ও সীদোনের দশা সহনীয় হবে।
15 And thou, Capernaum, art thou not exalted up to heaven? thou shalt be cast down to Hades. (Hadēs g86)
১৫আর হে কফরনাহূম, তুমি নাকি স্বর্গ পর্যন্ত উন্নত হবে? তুমি নরক পর্যন্ত নেমে যাবে। (Hadēs g86)
16 He that heareth you heareth me; he that rejecteth you rejecteth me; and he that rejecteth me rejecteth Him that sent me.
১৬যে তোমাদের মানে, সে আমাকেই মানে এবং যে তোমাদের অগ্রাহ্য করে, সে আমাকেই অগ্রাহ্য করে আর যে আমাকে অগ্রাহ্য করে, সে তাঁকেই অগ্রাহ্য করে, যিনি আমাকে পাঠিয়েছেন।
17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subordinated to us in thy name.
১৭পরে সেই সত্তর জন আনন্দের সঙ্গে ফিরে এসে বলল, “প্রভু, আপনার নামে ভূতেরাও আমাদের বশীভূত হয়।”
18 And He said to them, I saw Satan having fallen as the lightning from heaven.
১৮তিনি তাদের বললেন, “আমি শয়তানকে বিদ্যুতের মতো স্বর্গ থেকে পড়তে দেখছিলাম।
19 Behold I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.
১৯দেখ, আমি তোমাদের সাপ ও বিছাকে পায়ে মাড়াবে এবং শত্রুর সমস্ত শক্তির উপরে কর্তৃত্ব করার ক্ষমতা দিয়েছি। কিছুই কোন মতে তোমাদের ক্ষতি করবে না,
20 Moreover do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in the heavens.
২০কিন্তু ভূতেরা যে তোমাদের বশীভূত হয় এতে আনন্দ কর না, কিন্তু তোমাদের নাম যে স্বর্গে লেখা আছে, তাতে আনন্দ কর।”
21 At the same hour He rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I praise thee, O Father, Lord of the heaven and the earth, because thou hast hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and revealed them to babes: yea, Father, because it was thus pleasing in thy sight.
২১সেই দিন তিনি পবিত্র আত্মায় আনন্দিত হলেন ও বললেন, “হে পিতা, হে স্বর্গের ও পৃথিবীর প্রভু, আমি তোমার প্রশংসা করছি, কারণ তুমি জ্ঞানবান ও বুদ্ধিমানদের থেকে এইসব বিষয় গোপন রেখে শিশুদের কাছে প্রকাশ করেছ।
22 And turning to His disciples, He said, All things have been delivered to me by my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, except the Father; and who the Father is, except the Son, and he to whom He may wish to reveal Him.
২২সব কিছুই আমার পিতার মাধ্যমে আমাকে সমর্পণ করা হয়েছে এবং পুত্র কে, তা কেউ জানে না, একমাত্র পিতা জানেন, আর পিতা কে, তা কেউ জানেন না, শুধুমাত্র পুত্র জানেন, আর পুত্র যার কাছে তাঁকে প্রকাশ করতে ইচ্ছা করে, সে জানে।”
23 And turning to His disciples, privately He said, Happy are your eyes, seeing those things which you see.
২৩পরে তিনি শিষ্যদের দিকে ফিরে তাদের গোপনে বললেন, “ধন্য সেই সমস্ত চোখ, তোমরা যা যা দেখছ, যারা তা দেখে।”
24 For I say unto you, that many kings and prophets desired to see those things which you see, and saw them not; and to hear those things which you hear, and heard them not.
২৪কারণ আমি তোমাদের বলছি, “তোমরা যা যা দেখছ, সে সব অনেক ভাববাদী ও রাজা দেখতে ইচ্ছা করলেও দেখতে পায়নি এবং তোমরা যা যা শুনছ, তা তাঁরা শুনতে ইচ্ছা করলেও শুনতে পায়নি।”
25 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up tempting Him, saying, Teacher, having done what shall I inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
২৫আর দেখ, একজন ব্যবস্থার গুরু এসে তাঁর পরীক্ষা করার জন্য বলল, হে গুরু অনন্ত জীবন পেতে হোলে আমাকে কি কি করতে হবে? (aiōnios g166)
26 He said to him, What has been written in the law? how do you read it?
২৬তিনি তাকে বললেন, আইন ব্যবস্থায় কি লেখা আছে? সেখানে তুমি কি পাঠ কর?
27 And he responding said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with divine love from all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.
২৭সে উত্তরে বলল, “তুমি তোমার সমস্ত হৃদয়, তোমার সমস্ত প্রাণ, তোমার সমস্ত শক্তি ও তোমার সমস্ত মন দিয়ে তোমার ঈশ্বর প্রভুকে ভালবাসবে এবং তোমার প্রতিবেশীকে নিজের মত ভালবাসবে।”
28 And He said to him, You answered correctly: do this, and you shall live.
২৮তিনি তাকে বললেন, “ঠিক উত্তর দিয়েছ, তাই কর, তাতে জীবন পাবে।”
29 But he, wishing to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
২৯কিন্তু সে নিজেকে নির্দোষ দেখানোর জন্য যীশুকে বলল, “ভালো, আমার প্রতিবেশী কে?”
30 Jesus responding said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and fell among thieves, who indeed having stripped him of his raiment, administered blows, went away, leaving him half dead.
৩০এই কথায় যীশু বললেন, “এক ব্যক্তি যিরুশালেম থেকে যিরীহোর দিকে নেমে যাচ্ছিলেন, এমন দিনের সে ডাকাতদের হাতে পড়ল, তারা তার পোশাক খুলে নিল এবং তাকে মেরে আধমরা করে ফেলে চলে গেল।”
31 And by chance a certain priest came down that way: and seeing him, passed by on the other side.
৩১ঘটনাক্রমে একজন যাজক সেই পথ দিয়েই নেমে আসছিলেন, সে তাকে দেখে এক পাশ দিয়ে চলে গেল।
32 And likewise also a Levite, being at the place, coming and seeing, passed by on the other side.
৩২পরে একই ভাবেই একজন লেবীয় ও সেই স্থানে এসে দেখল এবং এক পাশ দিয়ে চলে গেল।
33 And a certain Samaritan, on a journey, came near him: and seeing, had compassion on him,
৩৩কিন্তু একজন শমরীয় সেই পথ দিয়ে যাচ্ছিল এবং তার কাছে গেল, আর তাকে দেখে তার খুব করুণা হল,
34 and having come to him, he bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine: and having mounted him on his own beast, carried him to a tavern, and cared for him.
৩৪এবং কাছে গিয়ে তেল ও আঙ্গুরের রস ঢেলে দিয়ে তার ক্ষত জায়গাগুলো বেঁধে দিল, পরে তার পশুর উপরে তাকে বসিয়ে এক সরাইখানায় নিয়ে গেল ও তার যত্ন করল।
35 And on the morrow, taking out two denaria, gave them to the host, and said, Care for him; and whatsoever you expend in addition, on my return, I will pay you.
৩৫পরের দিন দুটি দিনারী বের করে সরাইখানার মালিককে দিয়ে বলল, “এই ব্যক্তির যত্ন করো, যদি বেশি কিছু ব্যয় হয়, আমি যখন ফিরে আসব, তখন শোধ করব।”
36 Which one of these three seems to you to have been the neighbor of him who fell among the thieves?
৩৬তোমার কি মনে হয়, এই তিন জনের মধ্যে কে ঐ ডাকাতদের হাতে পড়া ব্যক্তির প্রতিবেশী হয়ে উঠল?
37 And he said, The one having done mercy with him. And Jesus said to him, Go, thou, and do likewise.
৩৭সে বলল, “যে ব্যক্তি তার প্রতি দয়া করল, সেই।” তখন যীশু তাকে বললেন, যাও, “তুমিও তেমন কর।”
38 And it came to pass while they were going round, He also came into a certain village: and a certain woman by name Martha received Him into her house.
৩৮আর যখন তাঁরা যাচ্ছিলেন, তিনি কোন একটা গ্রামে প্রবেশ করলেন, আর মার্থা নামে এক মহিলার বাড়িতে তিনি আতিথ্য গ্রহণ করলেন।
39 And there was a sister to her called Mary, who indeed sitting down at the feet of the Lord, continued to hear his word:
৩৯মার্থার, মরিয়ম নামে তাঁর এক বোন ছিলেন, তিনি প্রভুর পায়ের কাছে বসে তাঁর কথা শুনতে লাগলেন।
40 and Martha was very busy about much serving. And standing over Him, she said, Lord, is there no care to thee that my sister has left me to serve alone? then say to her that she must assist me.
৪০কিন্তু মার্থা খাবার তৈরির কাজে বেশি ব্যতিব্যস্ত ছিলেন, আর তিনি কাছে এসে বললেন, “প্রভু, আপনি কি কিছু মনে করছেন না যে, আমার বোন সমস্ত কাজের ভার একা আমার উপরে ফেলে রেখেছে? অতএব ওকে বলুন, যেন আমার সাহায্য করে।”
41 And the Lord responding said to her, Martha, Martha, you are solicitous and encumbered concerning many things:
৪১কিন্তু প্রভু উত্তরে তাঁকে বললেন, “মার্থা, মার্থা, তুমি অনেক বিষয়ে চিন্তিত আছ,
42 but there is need of one thing: for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken from her.
৪২কিন্তু অল্প কয়েকটি বিষয়, বরং একটি মাত্র বিষয় প্রয়োজন, কাজেই মরিয়ম সেই উত্তম বিষয়টি মনোনীত করেছে, যা তার কাছ থেকে নেওয়া যাবে না।”
