< John 18 >

1 Jesus saying these things, went out with His disciples beyond the brook of Kidron, where there was a garden, into which He and His disciples came.

10 Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And the name to that servant was Malchus.

12 Then the band and chiliarch, and the officers of the Jews, took Jesus and bound Him.
Lani ki Jifnba liiga yabi yeni sijem nba cuo jesu ki lol'o.
13 And they led Him first to Annas; for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.
Bi bo gadi yeno Ann yua bo tie Kaifi cuado kani, li binli kaifi den tie yua kpa bi niba.
14 And Caiaphas was the one counseling the Jews, that it is profitable that one man die for the people.

15 And Simon Peter and the other disciples followed Jesus. And that disciple was known to the high priest, and came with Jesus into the court of the high priest.

19 Then the high priest asked Jesus concerning His disciples and concerning His teaching.
O kopadicianmo yudaano den buali jesu yaali n tie o ŋɔdikaabi po yeni o banginma po.
20 And Jesus said to him, I have spoken openly to the world. I always taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, where all the Jews come together; and I spoke nothing in secret.

21 Why do you ask me? ask those who have heard, what I said to them: behold, they know what I said.
Be ya po i ki buali nni lan ya buali i? Yi buali yaabi n gbadi n maama”.
22 And He speaking these things, one of the officers standing by gave Jesus a slap, saying, Do you thus answer the high priest?
23 Jesus responded to him, If I spoke wickedly, witness concerning the wickedness: but if beautifully, why do you smite me?

27 Then Peter again denied, and immediately the cock crew.

28 Then they lead Jesus from Caiaphas to the judgment hall: and it was morning. And they did not come into the judgment hall, in order that they might not be polluted, but that they might eat the passover.

30 They responded and said to him, If He were not an evil doer, we would not deliver Him to you.
Bi den guani ki ñian'o: “o naa jua yaa bo den nibiado ti kan bi cuo'o.”
31 Then Pilate said to them. You take Him, and judge Him according to your law. Then the Jews said to him, It is not lawful for us to kill any one.
Pilat den ŋmianba: “ta'o mani yinbi yanba ki juagu ti buudi ke ŋɔdi nani li balimaama n tie maama.”

35 Pilate responded, Whether am I a Jew? thine own nation and the chief priests delivered thee to me: what hast thou done?
Pilata den bualo: “n mɔ tie jufi yo” A buolu yaaba yeni bikopadicianma n cuo'ŋa ki cua ten nni. A tieni bee?
36 Jesus responded, My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight for me, in order that I might not be delivered to the Jews. But now my kingdom is not from thence.
37 Then Pilate said to Him, Then, art thou not a king? Jesus responded, Thou says that I am king. Unto this I was born, and unto this I have come into the world, in order that I may bear witness to the truth. Every one being of the truth hears my voice.
38 Pilate says to Him, What is truth? And saying this, again he went out to the Jews, and speaks to them, I find no crime in Him.
Pilata den yed'o: “be n tie i mɔmɔn?” wan den yedi lani, o den ñani ki gedi jufinba kani: “ki yedi, mii la o ja n tieni yaali ki li bia.
39 There is a custom to you, that I release unto you one during the passover. Then do you wish that I may release unto you the King of the Jews?

40 Then they all again cried out, saying, Not Him, but Barabbas. And Barabbas was a robber.
