Ephesians 5
1 Therefore be ye imitators of God, as beloved children;
SED, pues, imitadores de Dios como hijos amados:
2 and walk about in divine love, as Christ also loved you, and gave himself for you, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of sweet savor.
Y andad en amor, como tambien Cristo nos amó, y se entregó á sí mismo por nosotros, [como] ofrenda y sacrificio á Dios en olor suave.
3 But all fornication, and uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be named among you, as it becomes saints;
Pero fornicacion y toda inmundicia, ó avaricia, ni aun se nombre entre vosotros como conviene á santos:
4 and indecorum, or foolish talking, or indecent jesting, which is not becoming, but rather the giving of thanks:
Ni palabras torpes, ni necedades, ni truhanerías, que no convienen; sino ántes bien acciones de gracias.
5 for you are knowing this, that no fornicator, or unclean person, or covetous, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Porque sabeis esto, que ningun fornicario, ó inmundo, ó avaro, que [tambien] es servidor de ídolos, tiene herencia en el reino de Cristo, y de Dios.
6 Let no one deceive you with empty words: for through these the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience.
Nadie os engañe con palabras vanas; porque por estas cosas viene la ira de Dios sobre los hijos de desobediencia.
7 Therefore be not partakers along with them.
No seais pues aparceros con ellos.
8 For at one time ye were darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord: walk about as children of the light,
Porque en otro tiempo erais tinieblas; mas ahora [sois] luz en el Señor: andad como hijos de luz,
9 (for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
(Porque el fruto del Espíritu [es] en toda bondad, y justicia, y verdad; )
10 proving what is acceptable to the Lord;
Aprobando lo que es agradable al Señor.
11 and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather indeed convict them.
Y no comuniqueis con las obras infructuosas de las tinieblas; sino ántes bien redargüidlas.
12 For it is disgraceful even to speak of those things which are done by them in concealment:
Porque torpe cosa es aun hablar de lo que ellos hacen en oculto.
13 but all things being convicted by the light are made manifest; for everything made manifest is light.
Mas todas las cosas cuando son redargüidas, son manifestadas por la luz porque lo que manifiesta todo, la luz es.
14 Therefore he says, Awake, thou sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine upon thee.
Por lo cual dice: Despiértate tú que duermes, y levántate de los muertos, y te alumbrará Cristo.
15 Therefore see how you walk about circumspectly, not as unwise, but wise;
Mirad, pues, cómo andeis avisadamente; no como necios, mas como sabios,
16 buying in the opportunity, because the days are evil.
Redimiendo el tiempo, porque los dias son malos.
17 Therefore be not unwise, but understand whatsoever is the will of the Lord.
Por tanto no seais imprudentes sino entendidos de cual sea la voluntad del Señor.
18 Be not drunk with wine, in which there is riot, but be ye filled with the Spirit;
Y no os embriagueis de vino, en lo cual hay disolucion; mas sed llenos de Espíritu:
19 speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
Hablando entre vosotros con salmos, y con himnos, y canciones espirituales, cantando y alabando al Señor en vuestros corazones:
20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
Dando gracias siempre de todo al Dios y Padre en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesu-Cristo;
21 being submissive to one another in the fear of Christ.
Sujetados los unos á los otros en el temor de Dios.
22 Wives, be submissive to your own husbands, as to the Lord,
Las casadas estén sujetas á sus propios maridos, como al Señor.
23 because the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is also the head of the church, being himself the saviour of the body.
Porque el marido es cabeza de la mujer, así como Cristo es cabeza de la iglesia; y él es el que da la salud al cuerpo.
24 But as the church is submissive to Christ, so also let the wives be to their husbands in everything.
Así que como la iglesia está sujeta á Cristo, así tambien las casadas [lo estén] á sus maridos en todo.
25 Husbands, love your wives with divine love, as Christ also loved the church with divine love, and gave himself for her;
Maridos, amad á vuestras mujeres así como Cristo amó á la iglesia, y se entregó á sí mismo por ella,
26 in order that he might sanctify her, having purified her by the washing of water through the word,
Para santificarla limpiándola en el lavacro del agua por la palabra,
27 in order that he might present to himself the glorious church, having not spot or wrinkle or any of such things; but that she might be holy and blameless.
Para presentársela gloriosa para sí, una iglesia que no tuviese mancha ni arruga, ni cosa semejante; sino que fuese santa y sin mancha.
28 So the husbands ought to love their own wives with divine love as their own bodies. The one loving his own wife is loving himself:
Así tambien los maridos deben amar á sus mujeres, como á sus [mismos] cuerpos. El que ama á su mujer, á sí mismo ama.
29 for no one ever yet hated his own flesh; but he nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ also the church;
Porque ninguno aborreció jamás su propia carne; ántes la sustenta y regala, como tambien Cristo á la iglesia.
30 because we are members of his body:
Porque somos miembros de su cuerpo, de su carne, y de sus huesos.
31 on account of this a man shall leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife: and they two shall be one flesh.
Por esto dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y se allegará á su mujer, y serán dos en una carne.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak in reference to Christ and the church.
Este misterio grande es: mas yo digo [esto] con respecto á Cristo y á la iglesia.
33 Moreover you also each one thus love his own wife with divine love as himself; and that the wife also reverence the husband.
Cada uno empero de vosotros, de por sí, ame tambien á su mujer como á sí mismo; y la mujer reverencie á [su] marido.
