Colossians 3
1 If then ye are risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting on the right hand of God;
Na rĩrĩ, kuona atĩ rĩu nĩmũriũkĩtio hamwe na Kristũ-rĩ, ngoro cianyu nĩikĩrũmbũyagie maũndũ marĩa ma igũrũ, o kũrĩa Kristũ aikarĩte guoko-inĩ kwa ũrĩo kwa Ngai.
2 think about those things above, and not things upon the earth.
Meciiria manyu nĩmeciiragie maũndũ marĩa ma igũrũ, no ti maũndũ marĩa ma thĩ ĩno.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God:
Nĩgũkorwo nĩmwakuire, naguo muoyo wanyu rĩu nĩmũhithe hamwe na Kristũ thĩinĩ wa Ngai.
4 when Christ, your life, may appear, then will you also appear with him in glory.
Na rĩrĩa Kristũ, ũrĩa arĩ we muoyo witũ, akoonekana-rĩ, hĩndĩ ĩyo o na inyuĩ nĩmũkonekana hamwe nake mũrĩ na riiri.
5 Therefore kill your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, tuagai maũndũ mothe ma mwĩrĩ ũyũ wa ndũire ta makuĩte namo nĩ ta: ũhũũri-maraya, na meciiria mathũku, na thuti cia mwĩrĩ, na merirĩria mooru, na ũkoroku, naguo no ũndũ ũmwe na kũhooya mĩhianano.
6 through which the wrath of God comes.
Tondũ wa maũndũ macio, mangʼũrĩ ma Ngai nĩmarooka.
7 In which you indeed at one time did walk about, when you lived in them:
O na inyuĩ mwatũire mũthiiaga na mĩthiĩre ĩyo mũtũũrĩre-inĩ ũrĩa mwatũũraga mbere ĩyo.
8 but you also lay aside all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, disgraceful talk out of your mouths:
No rĩu no nginya mwĩaũre maũndũ maya mothe, namo nĩ, marakara, na mangʼũrĩ, na rũmena, na njambanio, na kwaria maũndũ ma thoni na kanua.
9 lie not to one another, having laid aside the old man with his habits,
Tigagai kũheenania mũndũ na ũrĩa ũngĩ, kuona atĩ nĩmwĩyaũrĩte mũndũ ũrĩa wa tene na ciĩko ciake,
10 and having put on the new man, who is renewed into perfect knowledge according to the image of him who created him:
na mũkehumba mũndũ ũngĩ mwerũ, ũrĩa werũhagio nginya agĩe na ũmenyo na agĩe na mũhianĩre wa ũrĩa wamũũmbire.
11 where there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bond, free: but Christ is all things, and in all.
Na ũhoro-inĩ ũcio hatirĩ Mũyunani kana Mũyahudi, mũndũ mũruu kana mũndũ ũtarĩ mũruu, kana mũndũ mũcenji, kana Mũsikuthi, kana mũndũ ngombo kana ũtarĩ ngombo, no Kristũ nĩwe maũndũ mothe, na arĩ thĩinĩ wa maũndũ mothe.
12 Therefore, as elect of God, holy and beloved, put on affections of mercy, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio-rĩ, tondũ mũrĩ andũ athuure nĩ Ngai, andũ atheru na mendetwo mũno nĩwe, mwĩhumbei ũiguanĩri wa tha, na gũtugana, na kwĩnyiihia, na kũhoorera na gũkirĩrĩria.
13 forbearing one another and forgiving one another, if any one may have a quarrel against any one; as Christ also forgave you, so indeed do you likewise:
Kiranagĩrĩriai mũndũ na ũrĩa ũngĩ, na mũrekanagĩre rĩrĩa mũndũ angĩkorwo ekĩtwo ũũru nĩ ũrĩa ũngĩ. Rekanagĩrai o ta ũrĩa Mwathani aamũrekeire inyuĩ.
14 and in all these things put on divine love, which is the bond of perfection.
Ningĩ gũkĩra maũndũ macio mothe mega-rĩ, gĩai na wendani, tondũ nĩguo wohanagia maũndũ mothe hamwe nĩguo magĩrĩre kũna.
15 And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, in which you are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Rekei thayũ wa Kristũ wathanage ngoro-inĩ cianyu, tondũ inyuĩ mũrĩ ta ciĩga cia mwĩrĩ ũmwe-rĩ, mwetĩirwo thayũ. Na ningĩ mũcookagie ngaatho.
16 Let the word of God dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another, in all wisdom, in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, with grace making melody in your hearts to God;
Rekei ũhoro wa Kristũ ũtũũrage ũingĩhĩte mũno thĩinĩ wanyu, mũkĩrutanaga na mũgĩtaaranaga mũndũ na ũrĩa ũngĩ mũrĩ na ũũgĩ mũingĩ, o mũkĩinaga thaburi, na nyĩmbo cia Ngai, o na nyĩmbo cia kĩĩroho, mũrĩ na ngaatho harĩ Ngai ngoro-inĩ cianyu.
17 and every thing whatsoever you may do, in word or in work, do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Na ũndũ ũrĩa wothe mũrĩĩkaga, mũkĩaria kana mũgĩĩka ũndũ, wĩkagei wothe rĩĩtwa-inĩ rĩa Mwathani Jesũ, mũgĩcookagĩria Ngai Ithe witũ ngaatho thĩinĩ wake.
18 Ye wives, submit to your husbands as is becoming in the Lord.
Inyuĩ atumia-rĩ, mwĩnyiihagĩriei athuuri anyu, o ta ũrĩa kwagĩrĩire thĩinĩ wa Mwathani.
19 Ye husbands, love your wives with divine love, and be not harsh towards them.
Na inyuĩ athuuri-rĩ, endagai atumia anyu na mũtikamakũũmage.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.
O na inyuĩ ciana-rĩ, athĩkagĩrai aciari anyu maũndũ-inĩ mothe, nĩgũkorwo gwĩka ũguo nĩgũkenagia Mwathani.
21 Ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, in order that they may not be discouraged.
Na inyuĩ maithe-rĩ, mũtikarakaragie ciana cianyu, itikae gũkua ngoro.
22 Ye servants, obey your masters according to the flesh in all things; not with eye-service, pleasing men, but of purity of heart, fearing the Lord.
Na inyuĩ ngombo-rĩ, athĩkagĩrai aathani anyu a gũkũ thĩ maũndũ-inĩ mothe, na to hĩndĩ ĩrĩa maramuona atĩ nĩgeetha mamwende, no maathĩkagĩrei mũrĩ na ngoro itarĩ na ũhinga na nĩ ũndũ wa gũtĩĩa Mwathani.
23 Whatsoever you may do, work from your soul, as for the Lord, and not for men;
Na rĩrĩ, ũndũ o wothe ũrĩa mũrĩĩkaga, wĩkagei na ngoro yanyu yothe, taarĩ Mwathani mũrarutĩra wĩra, no ti andũ,
24 knowing that you will receive the recompense of the inheritance from the Lord. Serve the Lord Christ;
mũkĩmenyaga atĩ nĩmũkaamũkĩra igai kuuma kũrĩ Mwathani rĩrĩ kĩheo kĩanyu. Nĩ Mwathani Kristũ mũtungatagĩra.
25 for the one doing wrong receives that for which he did the injustice: and there is no respect of persons.
Mũndũ o wothe ũrĩa wĩkaga ũũru nĩakarĩhwo kũringana na ũũru wake, na gũtirĩ gũtĩĩra mũndũ maũthĩ.
