1 But concerning the times and seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write to you;

2 for you yourselves know well, that the day of the Lord is so coming like a thief in the night.

3 When they may say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail upon a woman in gestation; and they can not escape.

Mingeiin, “Ningbeiriem le jôkna,” zorân an bê lâitakin inningloiin an chunga sietminmangna juong dê ngei a ta! inningloia nupang chunga nâiha ahong tung anghan nîng atih, male mingei hah rotpai thei noni ngei.

4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day may overtake you like a thief:

Aniatachu, lâibungngei le sarnungei, nangni chu ijînga om mak choia, male ma Nikhuo han inru angin nangni dêrak no nih.

5 for you are all the sons of light, and the sons of day: we are not of night, nor of darkness;

Nin rêngin avâra mi le sûna mi nin ni. Jâna mi le ijînga mi nimak me.

6 then therefore let us not sleep like the rest, but watch and be sober.

Masikin midangngei anghan in no u; meng ei ta, male hangvangin om ei ti u.

7 For those sleeping, sleep in the night; and those who are drunken, get drunk in the night:

Jâna kêng mingei an in ngâi; jâna kêng ju khom an inrûi ngâi.

8 but let us, who are of the day, be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and divine love; and the helmet, the hope of salvation:

Hannirese eini chu sûna mi eini sika hin taksônna le lungkhamna rôppho hah hakin, male sanminringna sabeina hah lukhum anghan mangin hangvangin om ei ti u.

9 because God did not put us forth unto wrath, but unto the obtainment of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Pathien'n a taksina tuong rangin mi thang maka, ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista jâra sanminringna chang rangin mi thang ani,

10 the one having died for us, in order that, whether we are awake or asleep, we shall at the same time live with him.

a juong tika ei lei ring innom, ei lei thi innom ama leh munkhata ei om theina rangin ei ruthûlin ama a thi ani.

11 Therefore exhort one another, and edify either the other, as you indeed are doing.

Masikin inkhat le inkhat inmohôk ngâi ungla, inkhat le inkhat insan inlôm ngâi roi, atûna nin tho ngâi anghan.

12 But we intreat you, brethren, to know those who are laboring among you, and standing before you in the Lord, and admonishing you;

Ka lâibungngei le sarnungei, nin lâia sin dûktonga khristien ringnuna nangni ruoi ngei le nangni minchu ngei hah asadima nin jâ ngei rangin nangni kin ngên ani.

13 and that you yourselves esteem them exceedingly in divine love for the sake of their work. Live in peace among yourselves.

An sintho sika han lungkham ngei ungla, jâna lientak pêk ngei ungla. Nin lâia inngêi-irrin om roi.

14 And we, exhort you, brethren, admonish the unruly, comfort the small-souled people, support the weak, be longsuffering toward all.

Kin lâibungngei le sarnungei, mithaboi ngei hah rokôk ungla, mulungchîn ngei hah mohôk ungla, mirâtloi ngei hah san ungla, mi murdi chunga nin phûk min-uoi roi, tiin nangni kin ngên ani.

15 See that no one may return evil for evil to any one; but always pursue good toward one another, and toward all.

En roi, tukhom asaloi chu asaloi nanâkin thuon no ungla, zoratin inkhat le inkhat chunga sin sa tho pe inlôm rang le mi murdi chunga khom tho rangin khîna sin roi.

16 Rejoice evermore;

Râiminsân tit ungla,

17 pray without ceasing;

zoratin chubaitho ungla,

18 in every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus towards you.

i-ih chunga khom râisânchong misîr ngen roi. Ma hih Khrista Jisua leh nin inzoma nin tho ngâi ranga Pathien'n nangni a nuom ani.

19 Quench not the Spirit;

Ratha Inthieng khan no roi;

20 despise not prophesying;

inmohôkna thurchingei mumâk no roi.

21 but prove all things; and hold fast to the beautiful;

Neinunngei murdi en minsin ungla: asa kai chu pom tit ungla

22 abstain from every evil sight.

male asaloi murdi renga chu inkêm roi.

23 And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless, in the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Inngêina mi pêk ngâipu Pathien han lam tina nangni minthieng senla, ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista a juong tika nin ratha, nin mulungrîl, takpum le theiloina ngei murdi renga le nin pumin nangni mojôk rese.

24 Faithful is the one calling you, who indeed will do it.

Nangni koipu hah taksônom ani sikin, tho khom thông atih.

25 Brethren, pray for us.

Lâibungngei le sarnungei, keini rang khom chubai mi tho pe roi.

26 Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.

Iempungei murdi hah intum inthiengin leh chibaimûk ngei roi.

27 I adjure you in the name of the Lord, that this epistle shall be read to all the brethren.

Hi lekhamuthuon hih iempungei murdi kôm pore rangin Pumapa rachamneinân nangni ke ngên ani.

28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Ei Pumapa Jisua Khrista moroina hah nin kôm om rese.
