1 Thessalonians 2
1 For you know, brethren, our coming unto you, that it was not in vain:
Valongo vitu mwavene mmanyili kuvya lugendu lwitu kwinu lwavili lepi lwa waka.
2 but having suffered, and been abused, as you know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God in much conflict.
Mmanyili chatakitiwi mambu gahakau na kuligiwa ku Filipi kwakona hati kuhika kwinu Tesalonike. Pamonga na kuvya na unonopo wamahele, Chapanga witu atipelili ukekesi wa kukokosa Lilovi la Bwina.
3 For our exhortation was not from delusion, nor from impurity, nor in guile:
Lukumbi petavakohakisi muusadika ujumbi woha wa Chapanga, wetavakokosili huvalili lepi lijambu la udese ndi amala uhakau, mewa nakugana kumkonga mundu yoyoha.
4 but as we were approved of God that the gospel should be intrusted unto us, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God who is proving our hearts,
Nambu magono goha tete tilongela ngati cheigana Chapanga muni mwene patiweni tihotola, atigotolili lihengu la kuvakokosela vandu Lilovi la Bwina. Tete tigana lepi kuvaganisa vandu hati padebe, nambu tigana kumganisa Chapanga ndi mwamanyili mitima yitu mbaka mugati.
5 For at that time we were not in word of flattery, as you know, nor in a pretext of covetousness, God is our witness;
Chapanga ndi mweilola na mweamanyili getijova, na nyenye mmanyili katu tete talingili lepi kuvakulukisa mewa tatumili lepi malovi ga kufiya muni tipewa vindu kuhuma kwinu.
6 nor seeking glory from men, nor from you, nor from others, being able to be burdensome, as the apostles of Christ;
Tangalonda kulumbiwa na vandu, amala kuhuma kwinu, amala kuhuma kwa mundu yoyoha,
7 but we were gentle in the midst of you, as if a nurse may cherish her children;
pamonga na tete kuvya tavamitumi va Kilisitu, ngatihotwili kujova kwa makakala tipewa chindu chochoha kuhuma kwinu. Nambu tete tavapoli pagati yinu ngati mau mpoli kwa vana vaki.
8 being so desirous of you, that we are anxious not only to give the gospel of God, but our own souls, because you are beloved unto us.
Tavaganili neju nyenye ndi hati tavaletili Lilovi la Bwina la Chapanga. Na lepi Lilovi la Bwina nambu mewawa hati kuwusa wumi witu muni kuvatangatila, ndava nyenye vandu mwetivaganili neju!
9 For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil: night and day working, that we should burden no one of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
Valongo mkumbuka chetahengili lihengu kwa kung'ahika. Patavaletili Lilovi la Bwina la Chapanga tahengili lihengu kilu na muhi muni tikotoka kumpela mundu lihengu la kutipela mambu gegiganikiwa kwitu.
10 You are witnesses, and God, how sacredly and righteously and blamelessly we were unto you who believed:
Nyenye mugawene na Chapanga agawene kuvya ndi kuvya, chetatamili pagati yinu nyenye mwemsadika wavi wabwina, na wakumtopesa Chapanga changabuda.
11 as you know, exhorting each one of you, as a father of his own children, and comforting you,
Mmanyili kuvya tete tamhengili kila mmonga winu ngati dadi chakuvahengela vana vaki mwene.
12 and testifying, that you walk worthily of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory.
Tavakangamalisi mtima, tavasangalwisi na kuvakulukisa wumi weukumganisa Chapanga. Mwakuvakemela muyingila munkosi waki na ukulu waki.
13 And on account of this we also give thanks to God incessantly, because, receiving the word of God from us by hearing, you received it not as the word of men, but, as it truly is, the word of God, who indeed works in you who believe.
Kangi tivii na lijambu lingi la kumsengusa Chapanga, patavaletili ujumbi wa Chapanga, nyenye mwauyuwini, mukaupokela, lepi kujova ujumbi wa vandu, ndi ujumbi wa Chapanga, na chakaka ndi chauvi, ndava Chapanga ihenga lihengu mugati yinu nyenye mwamsadiki.
14 For ye, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Jesus Christ: because you suffered the same things from your fellow tribes, as they also from the Jews;
Valongo vangu, nyenye gavakolili mambu galagala gegavakolili msambi wa vandu vevakumsadika Kilisitu va ku Yudea kula vevavi vandu va Chapanga, mambu gegavakolili vandu vavili vaki Kilisitu Yesu. Nyenye mung'aiswi na vakolonjinji vayinu ngati vene chevang'aiswi na Vayawudi Vayavi.
15 who even killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and persecuted us, and are displeasing to God, and hostile to all men;
Vala Vayawudi vangasadika ndi vevamkomili BAMBU Yesu na vamlota va Chapanga, vakating'aha na tete mewa. Vandu venavo nakumganisa Chapanga, kangi ndi makoko va kila mundu!
16 forbidding that we should speak to the Gentiles in order that they may be saved; that they may fill up their sins always: but the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
Hati valingili kubesa kuvakokosela vandu vangali Vayawudi ujumbi wa kuvaletela usangula. Kwa kukita genago vayonjokisi kumbudila Chapanga na kumemesa njwe ndava ya kubuda kwevakitili magono goha. Nambu hinu ligoga la Chapanga livagwilili.
17 But, brethren, we having been absent from you for the space of an hour, in presence, not in heart, we were the more exceedingly anxious to see your face with much desire.
Valongo, kulekana kwitu na nyenye kwavi kwa lukumbi ndu, kavili kwavili kwangawonana, nambu lepi mumaholo gitu. Lukumbi luhupi kandahi tanogili kuvalola kangi!
18 Because we wish to come to you, I Paul indeed both once and twice; and Satan hindered me.
Ndi taganili kuvagendelela kavili. Na nene Pauli naganili kubwela kwinu pamahele, nambu Setani atibesili.
19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing, except you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?
Wu, patiyima palongolo ya BAMBU Yesu lukumbi lweibwela, yati tikujilumba kyani kuuvala uhotola witu? Kujilumba kwitu yati kwivya nyenye ndi huvalila yitu na luheku lwitu.
20 For you are our glory and joy.
Ena, nyenye ndi mwemkita tete timekayi na kuheka!
