Zephaniah 1
1 The word of the Lord, which came vnto Zephaniah ye sonne of Cushi, the sonne of Gedaliah, the sonne of Amariah, the sonne of Hizkiah, in the dayes of Iosiah, the sonne of Amon King of Iudah.
アモンの子ユダの王ヨシヤの世にゼパニヤに臨めるヱホバの言 ゼパニヤはクシの子 クシはゲダリアの子 ゲダリアはアマリヤの子 アマリヤはヒゼキヤの子なり
2 I will surely destroy all things from off the land, saith the Lord.
ヱホバ言たまふ われ地の面よりすべての物をはらひのぞかん
3 I will destroy man and beast: I wil destroy the foules of the heauen, and the fishes of the sea, and ruines shalbe to the wicked, and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the Lord.
われ人と獣畜をほろぼし空の鳥 海の魚および躓礙になる者と惡人とを滅さん 我かならず地の面より人をほろぼし絶ん ヱホバこれを言ふ
4 I will also stretch out mine hand vpon Iudah, and vpon all the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and I wil cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with ye Priestes,
我ユダとエルサレムの一切の居民との上に手を伸ん 我 この處よりかの漏のこれるバアルを絶ちケマリムの名を祭司と與に絶ち
5 And them that worship the hoste of heauen vpon the house tops, and them that worship and sweare by the Lord, and sweare by Malcham,
また屋上にて天の衆軍を拜む者ヱホバに誓を立てて拜みながらも亦おのれの王を指て誓ふことをする者
6 And them that are turned backe from the Lord, and those that haue not sought the Lord, nor inquired for him.
ヱホバに悖り離るる者ヱホバを求めず尋ねざる者を絶ん
7 Be stil at the presence of the Lord God: for the day of the Lord is at hand: for the Lord hath prepared a sacrifice, and hath sanctified his ghests.
汝 主ヱホバの前に黙せよ そはヱホバの日近づきヱホバすでに犠牲を備へその招くべき者をさだめ給ひたればなり
8 And it shalbe in the day of the Lords sacrifice, that I will visite the princes and the Kings children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparell.
ヱホバの犠牲の日に我もろもろの牧伯と王の子等および凡て異邦の衣服を着る者を罰すべし
9 In the same day also will I visite all those that dance vpon the threshold so proudly, which fill their masters houses by crueltie and deceite.
その日には我また凡て閾をとびこえ強暴と詭譎をもて獲たる物をおのが主の家に滿す者等を罰せん
10 And in that day, saith the Lord, there shall be a noise, and cry from the fishgate, and an howling from the second gate, and a great destruction from the hilles.
ヱホバ曰たまはく その日には魚の門より號呼の聲おこり下邑より喚く聲おこり山々より大なる敗壞おこらん
11 Howle ye inhabitants of the lowe place: for the companie of the marchants is destroyed: all they that beare siluer, are cut off.
マクテシの民よ汝ら叫べ 其は商賣する民 悉くほろび銀を擔ふ者 悉く絶たればなり
12 And at that time will I searche Ierusalem with lightes, and visite the men that are frosen in their dregges, and say in their heartes, The Lord will neither doe good nor doe euill.
その時はわれ燈をもちてエルサレムの中を尋ねん 而して滓の上に居着て心の中にヱホバは福をもなさず災をもなさずといふものを罰すべし
13 Therefore their goods shall be spoyled, and their houses waste: they shall also build houses, but not inhabite them, and they shall plant vineyards, but not drinke the wine thereof.
かれらの財寳は掠められ彼らの家は荒果てん かれら家を造るともその中に住ことを得ず 葡萄を植るともその葡萄酒を飮ことを得ざるべし
14 The great day of the Lord is neere: it is neere, and hasteth greatly, euen the voyce of the day of the Lord: the strong man shall cry there bitterly.
ヱホバの大なる日近づけり 近づきて速かに來る 聽よ是ヱホバの日なるぞ 彼處に勇士のいたく叫ぶあり
15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and heauinesse, a day of destruction and desolation, a day of obscuritie and darkenesse, a day of cloudes and blackenesse,
その日は忿怒の日 患難および痛苦の日 荒かつ亡ぶるの日 黒暗またをぐらき日 濃き雲および黒雲の日
16 A day of the trumpet and alarme against the strong cities, and against the hie towres.
箛をふき鯨聲をつくり堅き城を攻め高き櫓を攻るの日なり
17 And I will bring distresse vpon men, that they shall walke like blind men, because they haue sinned against the Lord, and their blood shall be powred out as dust, and their flesh as the dongue.
われ人々に患難を蒙らせて盲者のごとくに惑ひあるかしめん 彼らヱホバにむかひて罪を犯したればなり 彼らの血は流されて塵のごとくになり彼らの肉は捨られて糞土のごとくなるべし
18 Neither their siluer nor their golde shalbe able to deliuer them in ye day of the Lords wrath, but the whole lande shalbe deuoured by the fire of his ielousie: for hee shall make euen a speedie riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
かれらの銀も金もヱホバの烈き怒の日には彼らを救ふことあたはず 全地その嫉妬の火に呑るべし 即ちヱホバ地の民をことごとく滅したまはん 其事まことに速なるべし
