Zephaniah 1
1 The word of the Lord, which came vnto Zephaniah ye sonne of Cushi, the sonne of Gedaliah, the sonne of Amariah, the sonne of Hizkiah, in the dayes of Iosiah, the sonne of Amon King of Iudah.
Kastoy ti sao ni Yahweh a dimteng kenni Sofonias, a putot a lalaki ni Cusi, a putot ni Gedalias, a putot ni Amanias, a putot ni Hesekias, kadagiti aldaw a ni Josias nga anak ni Amon ti ari ti Juda.
2 I will surely destroy all things from off the land, saith the Lord.
Kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh— “Dadaelekto dagiti amin a banbanag iti rabaw ti daga!
3 I will destroy man and beast: I wil destroy the foules of the heauen, and the fishes of the sea, and ruines shalbe to the wicked, and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the Lord.
Dadaelekto ti tao ken dagiti narungsot nga ayup; dadaelekto dagiti billit iti tangatang ken dagiti lames iti baybay, dagiti dadael a karaman dagiti nadangkes! Ta pukawekto ti tao iti rabaw ti daga!” —kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh.
4 I will also stretch out mine hand vpon Iudah, and vpon all the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and I wil cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with ye Priestes,
Iyunnatkonto ti imak iti Juda ken dagiti amin nga agnanaed iti Jerusalem. Pukawekto ti tunggal nabatbati nga agdaydayaw kenni Baal iti daytoy a lugar ken dagiti nagnagan dagiti agdaydayaw kadagiti didiosen kadagiti papadi,
5 And them that worship the hoste of heauen vpon the house tops, and them that worship and sweare by the Lord, and sweare by Malcham,
dagiti tattao nga adda iti tuktok dagiti balbalay nga agdaydayaw iti init, bulan ken bituen, ken dagiti tattao nga agdaydayaw ken agsapata kenni Yahweh ngem agsapatada met kenni Milcom.
6 And them that are turned backe from the Lord, and those that haue not sought the Lord, nor inquired for him.

7 Be stil at the presence of the Lord God: for the day of the Lord is at hand: for the Lord hath prepared a sacrifice, and hath sanctified his ghests.
Agulimekkayo iti presensia ti Apo a Yahweh, ta asidegen ti aldaw ni Yahweh; gapu ta insaganan ni Yahweh ti sakripisio ken indatonnan dagiti sangailina.
8 And it shalbe in the day of the Lords sacrifice, that I will visite the princes and the Kings children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparell.
“Mapasamakto iti aldaw ti panangidaton ni Yahweh, a dusaekto dagiti prinsipe ken dagiti annak dagiti ari, ken dagiti amin a nakakawes iti ganggannaet a pagan-anay.
9 In the same day also will I visite all those that dance vpon the threshold so proudly, which fill their masters houses by crueltie and deceite.
Iti dayta nga aldaw dusaekto dagiti amin a sumrek iti ruangan, dagiti mangpunno iti kinaranggas ken panangallilaw iti balay iti amoda!
10 And in that day, saith the Lord, there shall be a noise, and cry from the fishgate, and an howling from the second gate, and a great destruction from the hilles.
Isu a mapasamakto iti dayta nga aldaw”— kastoy ti pakaammo ni Yahweh —“nga aggapunto iti Ruangan ti Lames ti sangit ti kinarigat, ti dung-aw manipud iti Maikaddua a Distrito, ken ti napigsa unay a daranudor manipud kadagiti turod.
11 Howle ye inhabitants of the lowe place: for the companie of the marchants is destroyed: all they that beare siluer, are cut off.
Agdung-awkayo, dakayo nga agnanaed iti Distrito ti Pagtagilakoan, ta madadaelto amin dagiti aglaklako; mapapatayto amin dagiti agtitimbang kadagiti pirak.
12 And at that time will I searche Ierusalem with lightes, and visite the men that are frosen in their dregges, and say in their heartes, The Lord will neither doe good nor doe euill.
Dumtengto iti dayta a tiempo a sukimatekto ti Jerusalem babaen kadagiti pagsilawan ken dusaek dagiti tattao a mangipagarup a natalgedda ket kunaenda iti pusoda, 'Awanto ti aniaman nga aramiden ni Yahweh, naimbag man wenno dakes!'
13 Therefore their goods shall be spoyled, and their houses waste: they shall also build houses, but not inhabite them, and they shall plant vineyards, but not drinke the wine thereof.
Masamsamto dagiti kinabaknangda ken mabaybay-anto a madadael dagiti balbalayda. Agpatakderdanto kadagiti babalay ngem saanda nga agnaed kadagitoy, ken agmulada kadagiti kaubasan ngem saanda nga uminom iti arakda!
14 The great day of the Lord is neere: it is neere, and hasteth greatly, euen the voyce of the day of the Lord: the strong man shall cry there bitterly.
Asidegen ti naindaklan nga aldaw ni Yahweh, asidegen ken napardas unay! Agbalinto a nasaem a panagsangsangit ti maysa a mannakigubat ti uni iti aldaw ni Yahweh!
15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and heauinesse, a day of destruction and desolation, a day of obscuritie and darkenesse, a day of cloudes and blackenesse,
Dayta nga aldaw ket aldaw ti pungtot, maysa nga aldaw ti riribuk ken leddaang, aldaw ti bagyo ken pannakadadael, maysa nga aldaw ti sipnget ken lulem, maysa nga aldaw dagiti ulep ken kasta unay a kinasipnget!
16 A day of the trumpet and alarme against the strong cities, and against the hie towres.
Aldawto daytoy dagiti trumpeta ken pakdaar a maibusor kadagiti nasarikedkedan a siudad ken kadagiti nangato a pagwanawanan!
17 And I will bring distresse vpon men, that they shall walke like blind men, because they haue sinned against the Lord, and their blood shall be powred out as dust, and their flesh as the dongue.
Ta iyegkonto ti kinarigat iti sangkataoan, tapno magnadanto a kasla bulsek a tattao agsipud ta nagbasolda kenni Yahweh! Maibukbukto ti darada a kasla tapuk, ken maibukbukto ti nagunegda a kasla rugit!
18 Neither their siluer nor their golde shalbe able to deliuer them in ye day of the Lords wrath, but the whole lande shalbe deuoured by the fire of his ielousie: for hee shall make euen a speedie riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
Awanto ti makaisalakan kadakuada, uray pay ti pirak wenno ti balitokda iti aldaw ti pungtot ni Yahweh! Ti apuy ti pungtot ni Yahweh ti mangibusto iti entero a daga, ta nakabutbutengto ti kanibusanan nga iyegna kadagiti agnanaed iti daga!”
