Zephaniah 2
1 Gather your selues, euen gather you, O nation not worthie to be loued,
Mwĩcookanĩrĩriei hamwe, mwĩcookanĩrĩriei hamwe inyuĩ rũrĩrĩ rũrũ rũtarĩ thoni.
2 Before the decree come foorth, and ye be as chaffe that passeth in a day, and before the fierce wrath of the Lord come vpon you, and before the day of the Lords anger come vpon you.
Mwĩcookanĩrĩriei mbere ya ihinda rĩrĩa rĩtuĩtwo gũkinya, mũthenya ũcio ũmũkorerere ta ũrĩa mũũngũ ũmbũragwo nĩ rũhuho, mbere ya marakara mahiũ ma Jehova mamũkore, mbere ya mũthenya ũcio wa mangʼũrĩ ma Jehova kũmũkora.
3 Seeke yee the Lord all the meeke of the earth, which haue wrought his iudgement: seeke righteousnesse, seeke lowlinesse, if so bee that ye may be hid in the day of the Lords wrath.
Cariai Jehova, inyuĩ andũ othe arĩa enyiihia a bũrũri, inyuĩ arĩa mwĩkaga ũrĩa aathanĩte. Mwĩcarĩriei ũthingu, mwĩcarĩriei kwĩnyiihia; no gũkorwo nĩmũkagitĩrwo mũthenya ũcio wa marakara ma Jehova.
4 For Azzah shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon desolate: they shall driue out Ashdod at the noone day, and Ekron shalbe rooted vp.
Itũũra rĩa Gaza nĩrĩgatiganĩrio, narĩo itũũra rĩa Ashikeloni rĩanangwo. Andũ a Ashidodi makaarutũrũrwo mũthenya barigici, narĩo itũũra rĩa Ekironi rĩthario ta mũtĩ ũkũmunywo.
5 Wo vnto the inhabitants of the sea coast. the nation of the Cherethims, the worde of the Lord is against you: O Canaan, the lande of the Philistims, I will euen destroye thee without an inhabitant.
Inyuĩ arĩa mũtũũraga ndwere-inĩ cia iria, o inyuĩ Akerethi, kaĩ mũrĩ na haaro-ĩ! Ndũmĩrĩri ya Jehova nĩ ĩgũũkĩrĩire, wee Kaanani, bũrũri wa Afilisti. “Nĩngakũniina, na gũtirĩ mũndũ o na ũmwe ũgaatigara.”
6 And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cotages for shepheardes and sheepefoldes.
Bũrũri ũcio ũrĩ ndwere-inĩ cia iria, o kũu Akerethi matũũraga, gũgaatuĩka kũndũ gwa gwakwo ithũnũ cia arĩithi, na ciugũ cia ngʼondu.
7 And that coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Iudah, to feede thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lodge toward night: for the Lord their God shall visite them, and turne away their captiuitie.
Bũrũri ũcio ũgaatuĩka wa matigari ma nyũmba ya Juda; kũu nĩkuo makoona ũrĩithio. Hwaĩ-inĩ magaakomaga nyũmba cia Ashikeloni. Nake Jehova Ngai wao nĩakamamenyerera, na atũme magaacĩre rĩngĩ.
8 I haue heard the reproch of Moab, and the rebukes of the children of Ammon, whereby they vpbraided my people, and magnified themselues against their borders.
“Nĩnjiguĩte irumi cia Moabi na inyũrũri cia Aamoni, acio maarumire andũ akwa na makĩĩhĩta gũũkĩrĩra bũrũri wao.”
9 Therefore, as I liue, saith the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall bee as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorah, euen the breeding of nettels and salt pittes, and a perpetuall desolation: the residue of my folke shall spoyle them, and the remnant of my people shall possesse them.
Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, Ngai wa Isiraeli, ekuuga atĩrĩ, “Ti-itherũ o ta ũrĩa niĩ ndũũraga muoyo-rĩ, Moabi gũgaatuĩka o ta Sodomu, naguo bũrũri wa Aamoni ũtuĩke ta Gomora, kũndũ kwa riya, na marima ma cumbĩ, kũndũ gũtakũraga kĩndũ kuuma tene. Matigari ma andũ akwa nĩmakaamataha; nao andũ a rũrĩrĩ rwakwa arĩa makaahonoka nĩmakagaya bũrũri wao.”
10 This shall they haue for their pride, because they haue reproched and magnified themselues against the Lord of hostes people.
Maũndũ macio nĩmakamakora nĩ ũndũ wa mwĩtĩĩo wao, na nĩ ũndũ wa kũruma na kũnyũrũria andũ a Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe.
11 The Lord will be terrible vnto them: for he wil consume all the gods of the earth, and euery man shall worship him from his place, euen all the yles of the heathen.
Jehova nĩagetigĩrwo nĩo rĩrĩa akaananga ngai ciothe cia bũrũri ũcio. Ndũrĩrĩ iria irĩ hũgũrũrũ-inĩ ciothe cia iria nĩikamũhooya, o rũrĩrĩ rũrĩ bũrũri waruo kĩũmbe.
12 Ye Morians also shalbe slaine by my sword with them.
“O na inyuĩ, andũ a Kushi, nĩmũkooragwo na rũhiũ rwakwa rwa njora.”
13 And he wil stretch out his hand against the North, and destroy Asshur, and will make Nineueh desolate, and waste like a wildernesse.
Nĩagatambũrũkia guoko gwake okĩrĩre andũ a gathigathini na aniine Ashuri, atige Nineve gũkirĩte ihooru, na kũũmagarĩte o ta werũ.
14 And flockes shall lie in the middes of her, and all the beastes of the nations, and the pelicane, and the owle shall abide in the vpper postes of it: the voyce of birdes shall sing in the windowes, and desolations shalbe vpon the postes: for the cedars are vncouered.
Ndũũru cia mbũri na ngʼombe igaakoma kuo, hamwe na ciũmbe cia mĩthemba yothe. Ndundu cia werũ na ndundu iria ngʼambi nĩikomba itugĩ-inĩ ciakuo. Kayũ ka mĩgambo yacio gakaiguuagwo ndirica-inĩ, hĩba cia mahiga igaakorwo mĩrango-inĩ, nayo mĩgamba ya mĩtarakwa ĩtigwo ũtheri.
15 This is the reioycing citie that dwelt carelesse, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none besides me: how is she made waste, and the lodging of the beastes! euery one that passeth by her, shall hisse and wagge his hand.
Rĩĩrĩ nĩrĩo itũũra rĩrĩa rĩratũire na gĩkeno, o na rĩtarĩ na ũgwati. Rĩrĩa rĩeĩĩraga atĩrĩ, “Niĩ no niĩ, na gũtirĩ ũngĩ tiga niĩ.” Kaĩ nĩrĩkĩanangĩtwo, rĩgatuĩka o kĩmamo kĩa nyamũ cia gĩthaka-ĩ! Arĩa othe mahĩtũkagĩra harĩ rĩo no kũrĩnyũrũria na kũrĩorota.
