Zechariah 6
1 Againe, I turned and lift vp mine eyes, and looked: and beholde, there came foure charets out from betweene two mountaines, and the mountaines were mountaines of brasse.
Und ich hob wiederum meine Augen auf und sah: und siehe, vier Wagen kamen hervor zwischen zwei Bergen; und die Berge waren Berge von Erz.
2 In the first charet were red horses, and in the second charet blacke horses,
An dem ersten Wagen waren rote Rosse, und an dem zweiten Wagen schwarze Rosse;
3 And in the thirde charet white horses, and in the fourth charet, horses of diuers colours, and reddish.
und an dem dritten Wagen weiße Rosse, und an dem vierten Wagen scheckige, starke Rosse.
4 Then I answered, and saide vnto the Angell that talked with mee, What are these, my Lord?
Und ich hob an und sprach zu dem Engel, der mit mir redete: Mein Herr, was sind diese?
5 And the Angell answered, and sayde vnto mee, These are the foure spirites of the heauen, which goe foorth from standing with the Lord of all the earth.
Und der Engel antwortete und sprach zu mir: Diese sind die vier Winde [O. Geister] des Himmels, welche ausgehen, nachdem sie sich vor den Herrn der ganzen Erde gestellt haben.
6 That with the blacke horse went forth into the land of the North, and the white went out after them, and they of diuers colours went forth toward the South countrey.
An welchem die schwarzen Rosse sind, die ziehen aus nach dem Lande des Nordens; und die weißen ziehen aus hinter ihnen her; und die scheckigen ziehen aus nach dem Lande des Südens;
7 And the reddish went out, and required to go, and passe through the world, and he sayde, Goe passe through the worlde. So they went thorowout the world.
und die starken ziehen aus und trachten hinzugehen, die Erde zu durchziehen. Und er sprach: Gehet, durchziehet die Erde! Und sie durchzogen die Erde.
8 Then cryed hee vpon me, and spake vnto me, saying, Beholde, these that goe towarde the North countrey, haue pacified my spirit in the North countrey.
Und er rief mir und redete zu mir und sprach: Siehe, diejenigen, welche nach dem Lande des Nordens ausgezogen sind, lassen meinen Geist Ruhe finden [Zugl.: stillen meinen Zorn] im Lande des Nordens.
9 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu mir also:
10 Take of them of ye captiuitie, euen of Heldai, and of Tobijah, and Iedaiah, which are come from Babel, and come thou the same day, and goe vnto the house of Ioshiah, the sonne of Zephaniah.
Nimm von den Weggeführten, von Cheldai und von Tobija und von Jedaja, und gehe du an selbigem Tage, gehe in das Haus Josijas, des Sohnes Zephanjas, wohin sie aus Babel gekommen sind-
11 Take euen siluer, and golde, and make crownes, and set them vpon the head of Iehoshua, the sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest,
ja, nimm Silber und Gold und mache eine Krone [Eig. Kronen, d. h. eine aus mehreren Reifen bestehende Prachtkrone; so auch v 14.] Und setze sie auf das Haupt Josuas, des Sohnes Jozadaks, des Hohenpriester,
12 And speake vnto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, and sayth, Behold the man whose name is the Branch, and he shall growe vp out of his place, and he shall build the Temple of the Lord.
und sprich zu ihm und sage: So spricht Jehova der Heerscharen und sagt: Siehe, ein Mann, sein Name ist Sproß; und er wird von seiner Stelle aufsprossen und den Tempel Jehovas bauen.
13 Euen hee shall build the Temple of the Lord, and he shall beare the glory, and shall sit and rule vpon his throne, and he shalbe a Priest vpon his throne, and the counsell of peace shall be betweene them both.
Ja, er wird den Tempel Jehovas bauen; und er wird Herrlichkeit tragen; und er wird auf seinem Throne sitzen und herrschen, und er wird Priester sein auf seinem Throne; und der Rat des Friedens wird zwischen ihnen beiden sein.
14 And the crownes shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Iedaiah, and to Hen the sonne of Zephaniah, for a memoriall in the Temple of the Lord.
Und die Krone soll dem Chelem und Tobija und Jedaja und der Güte [d. h. der von ihm erwiesene Güte; vergl. v 10. And. üb.: und Chen, dem Sohne Zephanjas] des Sohnes Zephanjas zum Gedächtnis sein im Tempel Jehovas.
15 And they that are farre off, shall come and build in the Temple of the Lord, and ye shall know, that the Lord of hostes hath sent me vnto you. And this shall come to passe, if ye will obey the voyce of the Lord your God.
Und Entfernte werden kommen und am Tempel Jehovas bauen; und ihr werdet erkennen, daß Jehova der Heerscharen mich zu euch gesandt hat. Und dieses wird geschehen, wenn ihr fleißig auf die Stimme Jehovas, eures Gottes, hören werdet.
