Ruth 2
1 Then Naomis husband had a kinsman, one of great power of the familie of Elimelech, and his name was Boaz.
௧நகோமிக்கு அவளுடைய கணவனாகிய எலிமெலேக்கின் உறவின்முறையில் போவாஸ் என்னும் பெயருள்ள மிகுந்த ஆஸ்திக்காரனாகிய இனத்தான் ஒருவன் இருந்தான்.
2 And Ruth ye Moabitesse said vnto Naomi, I pray thee, Let mee goe to the fielde, and gather eares of corne after him, in whose sight I finde fauour. And she said vnto her, Goe my daughter.
௨மோவாபிய பெண்ணாகிய ரூத் என்பவள் நகோமியைப் பார்த்து: நான் வயல்வெளிக்குப் போய், யாருடைய கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயவு கிடைக்குமோ, அவர் பின்னே போய் கதிர்களைப் பொறுக்கிக்கொண்டு வருகிறேன் என்றாள்; அதற்கு இவள்: என் மகளே, போ என்றாள்.
3 And she went, and came and gleaned in the fielde after the reapers, and it came to passe, that she met with the portion of the fielde of Boaz, who was of the familie of Elimelech.
௩அவள் போய், வயல்வெளியில் அறுக்கிறவர்கள் பின்னே பொறுக்கினாள்; தற்செயலாக அவள் சென்ற அந்த வயல்நிலம் எலிமெலேக்கின் வம்சத்தானாகிய போவாசுடையதாக இருந்தது.
4 And behold, Boaz came from Beth-lehem, and saide vnto the reapers, The Lord be with you: and they answered him, The Lord blesse thee.
௪அப்பொழுது போவாஸ் பெத்லெகேமிலிருந்து வந்து, அறுக்கிறவர்களைப் பார்த்து: யெகோவா உங்களோடு இருப்பாராக என்றான்; அதற்கு அவர்கள்: யெகோவா உம்மை ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக என்றார்கள்.
5 Then saide Boaz vnto his seruant that was appointed ouer the reapers, Whose maide is this?
௫பின்பு போவாஸ் அறுக்கிறவர்களின்மேல் கண்காணியாக வைக்கப்பட்ட தன் வேலைக்காரனை நோக்கி: இந்தப் பெண்பிள்ளை யாருடையவள் என்று கேட்டான்.
6 And the seruant that was appointed ouer the reapers, answered, and said, It is the Moabitish maide, that came with Naomi out of the countrey of Moab:
௬அறுக்கிறவர்களின்மேல் கண்காணியாக வைக்கப்பட்ட அந்த வேலைக்காரன் மறுமொழியாக: இவள் மோவாப் தேசத்திலிருந்து நகோமியோடு வந்த மோவாபியப் பெண்பிள்ளை.
7 And shee saide vnto vs, I pray you, let mee gleane and gather after the reapers among the sheaues: so shee came, and hath continued from that time in the morning vnto now, saue that she taried a litle in the house.
௭அறுக்கிறவர்களின் பின்னே அரிக்கட்டுகளிலிருந்து சிந்தினதைப் பொறுக்கிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன் என்று அவள் என்னிடம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டாள்; காலை துவங்கி இதுவரைக்கும் இங்கே இருக்கிறாள்; இப்பொழுது அவள் குடிசைக்கு வந்து கொஞ்சநேரம்தான் ஆனது என்றான்.
8 Then said Boaz vnto Ruth, Hearest thou, my daughter? goe to none other fielde to gather, neither goe from hence: but abide here by my maydens.
௮அப்பொழுது போவாஸ் ரூத்தைப்பார்த்து: மகளே, கேள்; பொறுக்கிக்கொள்ள வேறு வயலுக்கு போகாமலும், இந்த இடத்தைவிட்டுப் போகாமலும், இங்கே என் ஊழியக்காரப் பெண்களோடு இரு.
9 Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reape, and goe thou after the maidens. Haue I not charged the seruants, that they touche thee not? Moreouer whe thou art a thirst, go vnto ye vessels, and drinke of that which ye seruants haue drawen.
௯அவர்கள் அறுப்பு அறுக்கும் வயலை நீ பார்த்து, அவர்கள் பின்னே போ; ஒருவரும் உன்னைத் தொடாதபடிக்கு, வேலைக்காரர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறேன்; உனக்குத் தாகம் எடுத்தால், தண்ணீர்க்குடங்களிடத்திற்குப் போய், வேலைக்காரர்கள் மொண்டுகொண்டு வருகிறதிலே குடிக்கலாம் என்றான்.
10 Then shee fell on her face, and bowed her selfe to the ground, and said vnto him, How haue I found fauour in thine eyes, that thou shouldest know me, seeing I am a stranger?
௧0அப்பொழுது அவள் தரையிலே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து வணங்கி: நான் அந்நிய தேசத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவளாக இருக்க, நீர் என்னை விசாரிக்கும்படி எனக்கு எதினாலே உம்முடைய கண்களில் தயவு கிடைத்தது என்றாள்.
11 And Boaz answered, and said vnto her, All is told and shewed me that thou hast done vnto thy mother in lawe, since the death of thine husband, and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and ye land where thou wast borne, and art come vnto a people which thou knewest not in time past.
௧௧அதற்கு போவாஸ் மறுமொழியாக: உன் கணவன் மரணமடைந்தபின்பு, நீ உன் மாமியாருக்காகச் செய்ததும், நீ உன் தகப்பனையும், உன் தாயையும், நீ பிறந்த தேசத்தையும் விட்டு, இதற்கு முன்னே நீ அறியாத மக்களிடம் வந்ததும் எல்லாம் எனக்கு விபரமாகத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.
12 The Lord recompense thy worke, and a ful reward be giuen thee of the Lord God of Israel, vnder whose wings thou art come to trust.
௧௨உன் செயல்களுக்குத் தகுந்த பலனைக் யெகோவா உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவாராக; இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய சிறகுகளின்கீழ் அடைக்கலமாக வந்த உனக்கு அவராலே நிறைவான பலன் கிடைப்பதாக என்றான்.
13 Then she saide, Let me finde fauour in thy sight, my lord: for thou hast comforted mee, and spoken comfortably vnto thy mayde, though I be not like to one of thy maydes.
௧௩அதற்கு அவள்: என் ஆண்டவனே, உம்முடைய கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயவு கிடைக்கவேண்டும்; நான் உம்முடைய வேலைக்காரிகளில் ஒருத்திக்கும் சமமாக இல்லாவிட்டாலும், நீர் எனக்கு ஆறுதல் சொல்லி உம்முடைய அடியாளாகிய என்னோடு தயவாகப் பேசினீரே என்றாள்.
14 And Boaz said vnto her, At the meale time come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dippe thy morsell in the vineger. And she sate beside the reapers, and hee reached her parched corne: and shee did eate, and was sufficed, and left thereof.
௧௪பின்பு போவாஸ் சாப்பாட்டு நேரத்தில் அவளைப் பார்த்து: நீ இங்கே வந்து, இந்த அப்பத்தைப் சாப்பிட, புளிப்பான திராட்சை ரசத்திலே உன் அப்பத் துண்டுகளைத் தோய்த்துக்கொள் என்றான். அப்படியே அவள் அறுப்பு அறுக்கிறவர்களின் அருகில் உட்கார்ந்தாள்; அவளுக்கு வறுத்த கோதுமையைக் கொடுத்தான்; அவள் சாப்பிட்டு, திருப்தியடைந்து, மீதியானதை வைத்துக்கொண்டாள்.
15 And when she arose to gleane, Boaz commanded his seruants, saying, Let her gather among the sheaues, and doe not rebuke her.
௧௫அவள் கதிர் பொறுக்கிக்கொள்ள எழுந்தபோது, போவாஸ் தன்னுடைய வேலைக்காரர்களை நோக்கி: அவள் அரிக்கட்டுகள் நடுவே பொறுக்கிக்கொள்ளட்டும்; அவளை ஒன்றும் சொல்லவேண்டாம்.
16 Also let fall some of the sheaues for her, and let it lie, that she may gather it vp, and rebuke her not.
௧௬அவள் பொறுக்கிக்கொள்ளும்படி அவளுக்காக அரிகளிலே சிலவற்றைச் சிந்திவிடுங்கள், அவளை அதட்டாமல் இருங்கள் என்று கட்டளையிட்டான்.
17 So she gleaned in the fielde vntill euening, and she thresshed that shee had gathered, and it was about an Ephah of barly.
௧௭அப்படியே அவள் மாலைநேரம்வரைக்கும் வயலிலே கதிர் பொறுக்கினாள்; பொறுக்கினதை அவள் தட்டி அடித்துமுடிக்கும்போது, அது ஏறக்குறைய ஒரு மரக்கால் வாற்கோதுமையாக இருந்தது.
18 And she tooke it vp, and went into the citie, and her mother in law saw what she had gathered: Also she tooke foorth, and gaue to her that which she had reserued, when she was sufficed.
௧௮அவள் அதை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு ஊருக்குள் வந்தாள்; அவள் பொறுக்கினதை அவளுடைய மாமியார் பார்த்தாள்; தான் திருப்தியாகச் சாப்பிட்டு மீதியாக வைத்ததையும் எடுத்து அவளுக்குக் கொடுத்தாள்.
19 Then her mother in lawe saide vnto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he, that knewe thee. And she shewed her mother in lawe, with whome she had wrought, and saide, The mans name, with whom I wrought to day, is Boaz.
௧௯அப்பொழுது அவளுடைய மாமியார்: இன்று எங்கே கதிர்பொறுக்கினாய், எந்த இடத்தில் வேலைசெய்தாய் என்று அவளிடம் கேட்டு; உன்னை விசாரித்தவன் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவானாக என்றாள்; அப்பொழுது அவள் இன்னாரிடத்திலே வேலைசெய்தேன் என்று தன் மாமியாருக்கு அறிவித்து: நான் இன்று வேலைசெய்த வயல்காரனுடைய பெயர் போவாஸ் என்றாள்.
20 And Naomi said vnto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the Lord: for he ceaseth not to doe good to the liuing and to the dead. Againe Naomi saide vnto her, The man is neere vnto vs, and of our affinitie.
௨0அப்பொழுது நகோமி தன் மருமகளைப் பார்த்து: உயிரோடிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் மரித்தவர்களுக்கும் தயவு செய்கிற யெகோவாவாலே அவன் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவானாக என்றாள்; பின்னும் நகோமி அவளைப் பார்த்து: அந்த மனிதன் நமக்கு நெருங்கின உறவின் முறையானும் நம்மை ஆதரிக்கிற பங்காளிகளில் ஒருவனுமாக இருக்கிறான் என்றாள்.
21 And Ruth the Moabitesse said, He said also certainely vnto mee, Thou shalt be with my seruants, vntill they haue ended all mine haruest.
௨௧பின்னும் மோவாபிய பெண்ணாகிய ரூத்: அவர் என்னை நோக்கி, என்னுடைய அறுவடை எல்லாம் முடியும்வரைக்கும், நீ என் வேலைக்காரிகளோடு இரு என்று சொன்னார் என்றாள்.
22 And Naomi answered vnto Ruth her daughter in lawe, It is best, my daughter, that thou goe out with his maides, that they meete thee not in an other fielde.
௨௨அப்பொழுது நகோமி தன் மருமகளாகிய ரூத்தைப் பார்த்து: என் மகளே, வேறொரு வயலிலே மனிதர்கள் உன்னை எதிர்க்காதபடி நீ அவனுடைய வேலைக்காரிகளோடு போகிறது நல்லது என்றாள்.
23 Then she kept her by the maides of Boaz, to gather vnto the end of barly haruest, and of wheate haruest, and dwelt with her mother in lawe.
௨௩அப்படியே கோதுமை அறுப்பும் வாற்கோதுமை அறுப்பும் முடியும்வரைக்கும் அவள் கதிர் பொறுக்கும்படிக்கு, போவாசுடைய வேலைக்காரிகளோடு இருந்து, தன் மாமியாரோடு வாழ்ந்தாள்.
