Romans 2
1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoeuer thou art that condemnest: for in that that thou condemnest another, thou condemnest thy selfe: for thou that condemnest, doest the same things.
௧ஆகவே, மற்றவர்களைக் குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்கிறவனே, நீ யாரானாலும் சரி, சாக்குப்போக்குச் சொல்லமுடியாது; நீ குற்றமாகத் தீர்க்கிறவைகள் எவைகளோ, அவைகளை நீயும் செய்கிறதினால், நீ மற்றவர்களைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லுகிற தீர்ப்பினாலே உன்னைநீயே குற்றவாளியாக்குகிறாய்.
2 But we know that the iudgement of God is according to trueth, against them which comit such things.
௨இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் செய்கிறவர்களுக்குத் தேவனுடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு சத்தியத்தின்படியே இருக்கிறதென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
3 And thinkest thou this, O thou man, that condemnest them which doe such thinges, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the iudgement of God?
௩இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் செய்கிறவர்களைக் குற்றவாளிகள் என்று தீர்த்தும், அவைகளையே செய்கிறவனே, நீ தேவனுடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்குத் தப்பித்துக்கொள்ளலாம் என்று நினைக்கிறாயோ?
4 Or despisest thou the riches of his bountifulnesse, and patience, and long sufferance, not knowing that the bountifulnesse of God leadeth thee to repentance?
௪அல்லது தேவனுடைய தயவு நீ மனம்திரும்புவதற்கு உன்னை நடத்துகிறதென்று தெரியாமல், அவருடைய தயவு, பொறுமை, நீடிய சாந்தம் இவைகளின் ஐசுவரியத்தை அசட்டைபண்ணுகிறாயோ?
5 But thou, after thine hardnesse, and heart that canot repent, heapest vp as a treasure vnto thy selfe wrath against the day of wrath, and of the declaration of the iust iudgement of God,
௫உன் மனதின் கடினத்திற்கும், மனம்திரும்பாத இருதயத்திற்கும் தகுந்தபடி, தேவனுடைய நீதியுள்ள தீர்ப்பு வெளிப்படும். கோபத்தின் தண்டனை நாளிலே உனக்காகக் கோபத்தினைக் குவித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறாயே.
6 Who wil reward euery man according to his woorkes:
௬தேவன் அவனவனுடைய செய்கைகளுக்குத் தகுந்தபடி அவனவனுக்குப் பலன் கொடுப்பார்.
7 That is, to them which through patience in well doing, seeke glorie, and honour, and immortalitie, euerlasting life: (aiōnios g166)
௭சோர்ந்துபோகாமல் நல்ல செயல்களைச்செய்து, மகிமையையும் கனத்தையும் அழியாமையையும் தேடுகிறவர்களுக்கு நித்தியஜீவனைக் கொடுப்பார். (aiōnios g166)
8 But vnto them that are contentious and disobey the trueth, and obey vnrighteousnesse, shalbe indignation and wrath.
௮சண்டைக்காரர்களாக இருந்து, சத்தியத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், அநியாயத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருக்கிறவர்களுக்கோ தேவனுடைய உக்கிரமான கோபம் வரும்.
9 Tribulation and anguish shalbe vpon the soule of euery man that doeth euill: of the Iewe first, and also of the Grecian.
௯முதலில் யூதர்களிலும் பின்பு கிரேக்கர்களிலும் பொல்லாப்பு செய்கிற எந்தவொரு மனிதனுக்கும் உபத்திரவமும், வியாகுலமும் உண்டாகும்.
10 But to euery man that doeth good, shalbe glory, and honour, and peace: to the Iew first, and also to the Grecian.
௧0முதலில் யூதர்களிலும் பின்பு கிரேக்கர்களிலும் எவன் நன்மைசெய்கிறானோ அவனுக்கு மகிமையும், கனமும், சமாதானமும் உண்டாகும்.
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
௧௧தேவனிடம் பட்சபாதம் இல்லை.
12 For as many as haue sinned without the Lawe, shall perish also without the Lawe: and as many as haue sinned in the Lawe, shall be iudged by the Lawe,
௧௨எவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் இல்லாமல் பாவம் செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் இல்லாமல் கெட்டுப்போவார்கள்; எவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கு உட்பட்டவர்களாகப் பாவம் செய்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலே நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு அடைவார்கள்.
13 (For the hearers of the Lawe are not righteous before God: but the doers of the Lawe shalbe iustified.
௧௩நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கேட்கிறவர்கள் தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக நீதிமான்களாவதில்லை, நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி செய்கிறவர்களே நீதிமான்களாக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
14 For when the Gentiles which haue not the Lawe, doe by nature, the things conteined in the Lawe, they hauing not the Lawe, are a Lawe vnto themselues,
௧௪அன்றியும் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் இல்லாத யூதரல்லாதோர் சுபாவமாக நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி செய்கிறபோது, நியாயப்பிரமாணம் இல்லாத அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குத் தாங்களே நியாயப்பிரமாணமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
15 Which shew the effect of the Lawe written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witnes, and their thoughts accusing one another, or excusing, )
௧௫அவர்களுடைய மனச்சாட்சியும், சாட்சியிடுகிறதினாலும், குற்றம் உண்டு குற்றம் இல்லை என்று அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனைகள் ஒன்றை ஒன்று தீர்க்கிறதினாலும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கு தகுந்த செயல்கள் தங்களுடைய இருதயங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது என்று காண்பிக்கிறார்கள்.
16 At the day when God shall iudge the secretes of men by Iesus Christ, according to my Gospel.
௧௬என்னுடைய நற்செய்தியின்படியே, தேவன் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைக்கொண்டு மனிதர்களுடைய இரகசியங்களைக்குறித்து நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்கொடுக்கும் நாளிலே இது விளங்கும்.
17 Beholde, thou art called a Iewe, and restest in the Lawe, and gloriest in God,
௧௭நீ யூதனென்று பெயர்பெற்று நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் நிலைத்திருந்து, தேவனைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டி,
18 And knowest his will, and triest the things that dissent from it, in that thou art instructed by the Lawe:
௧௮நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினால் உபதேசிக்கப்பட்டவனாக, அவருடைய விருப்பத்தை அறிந்து, நன்மை எது, தீமை எது, என்று தெரிந்துகொள்கிறாயே.
19 And persuadest thy selfe that thou art a guide of the blinde, a light of them which are in darkenesse,
௧௯நீ உன்னைக் குருடர்களுக்கு வழிகாட்டியாகவும், இருளில் இருப்பவர்களுக்கு வெளிச்சமாகவும்,
20 An instructer of them which lacke discretion, a teacher of the vnlearned, which hast the forme of knowledge, and of the truth in ye Law.
௨0பேதைகளுக்குப் போதகனாகவும், குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஆசிரியராகவும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் அறிவையும் சத்தியத்தையும் காட்டிய சட்டமுடையவனாகவும் நினைக்கிறாயே.
21 Thou therefore, which teachest another, teachest thou not thy selfe? thou that preachest, A man should not steale, doest thou steale?
௨௧இப்படியிருக்க, மற்றவனுக்குப் போதிக்கிற நீ உனக்கு நீயே போதிக்காமல் இருக்கலாமா? திருடக்கூடாது என்று பிரசங்கம் பண்ணுகிற நீ திருடலாமா?
22 Thou that saist, A man should not commit adulterie, doest thou commit adulterie? thou that abhorrest idoles, committest thou sacrilege?
௨௨“விபசாரம் செய்யக்கூடாது” என்று சொல்லுகிற நீ விபசாரம் செய்யலாமா? விக்கிரகங்களை அருவருக்கிற நீ கோவில்களைக் கொள்ளையடிக்கலாமா?
23 Thou that gloriest in the Lawe, through breaking the Lawe, dishonourest thou God?
௨௩நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிற நீ நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை மீறி நடந்து, தேவனைக் கனவீனம்பண்ணலாமா?
24 For ye Name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.
௨௪எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, “தேவனுடைய நாமம் யூதரல்லாதவர்களுக்குள்ளே உங்கள் மூலமாக அவமதிக்கப்படுகிறதே.”
25 For circucision verely is profitable, if thou do the Lawe: but if thou be a transgressour of the Lawe, thy circumcision is made vncircumcision.
௨௫நீ நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடந்தால் விருத்தசேதனம் பிரயோஜனமுள்ளதுதான்; நீ நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை மீறிநடந்தால் உன் விருத்தசேதனம் விருத்தசேதனமில்லையே.
26 Therefore if the vncircumcision keepe the ordinances of the Lawe, shall not his vncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
௨௬மேலும் விருத்தசேதனமில்லாதவன் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குரிய நீதிகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு நடந்தால், அவனுடைய விருத்தசேதனமில்லாமை, விருத்தசேதனம் என்று எண்ணப்படுமல்லவா?
27 And shall not vncircumcision which is by nature (if it keepe the Lawe) condemne thee which by the letter and circumcision art a transgressour of the Lawe?
௨௭சுபாவத்தின்படி விருத்தசேதனமில்லாதவனாக இருந்தும் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை நிறைவேற்றுகிறவனாக இருந்தால், அவன் வேத எழுத்தும் விருத்தசேதனமும் உள்ளவனாக இருந்தும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை மீறுகிற உன்னைக் குற்றப்படுத்துவானே?
28 For hee is not a Iewe, which is one outwarde: neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
௨௮எனவே, வெளிப்புறமாக யூதனானவன் யூதன் இல்லை, வெளிப்புறமாக சரீரத்தில் செய்யப்படும் விருத்தசேதனமும் விருத்தசேதனம் இல்லை.
29 But he is a Iewe which is one within, and the circumcision is of the heart, in the spirite not in the letter, whose praise is not of men, but of God.
௨௯உள்ளத்திலே யூதனானவனே யூதன்; எழுத்தின்படி உண்டாகாமல், ஆவியின்படி இருதயத்தில் உண்டாகும் விருத்தசேதனமே விருத்தசேதனம்; இப்படிப்பட்டவனுக்கு வரும் புகழ்ச்சி மனிதராலே உண்டாகவில்லை, தேவனாலே உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.
