Romans 12
1 I Beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that yee giue vp your bodies a liuing sacrifice, holy, acceptable vnto God, which is your reasonable seruing of God.
অতএব, ভাইবোনেরা, ঈশ্বরের বহুবিধ করুণার পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে, আমি তোমাদের কাছে মিনতি করছি, তোমরা তোমাদের শরীরকে জীবন্ত বলিরূপে, পবিত্র ও ঈশ্বরের গ্রহণযোগ্যরূপে উৎসর্গ করো—তাই হবে তোমাদের যুক্তিসংগত আরাধনা।
2 And fashion not your selues like vnto this worlde, but bee yee changed by the renewing of your minde, that ye may prooue what that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God is. (aiōn g165)
আর তোমরা এই জগতের রীতি অনুযায়ী জীবনযাপন করো না, কিন্তু তোমাদের মনের নতুনীকরণের দ্বারা রূপান্তরিত হও। তখন তোমরা ঈশ্বরের ইচ্ছাকে যাচাই ও অনুমোদন করতে পারবে, যা উৎকৃষ্ট, প্রীতিজনক ও সিদ্ধ। (aiōn g165)
3 For I say through the grace that is giuen vnto me, to euery one that is among you, that no man presume to vnderstande aboue that which is meete to vnderstand, but that he vnderstande according to sobrietie, as God hath dealt to euery man the measure of faith.
কারণ যে অনুগ্রহ আমাকে দেওয়া হয়েছে, তার গুণে আমি তোমাদের প্রত্যেককে বলছি: তোমরা নিজেদের সম্বন্ধে যেমন উপযুক্ত, তার থেকে আরও উচ্চ ধারণা পোষণ কোরো না, কিন্তু ঈশ্বর তোমাকে যে পরিমাণ বিশ্বাস দান করেছেন, সেই অনুযায়ী, সংযমী বিচার দ্বারা নিজের বিষয়ে চিন্তা কোরো।
4 For as wee haue many members in one body, and all members haue not one office,
যেমন আমাদের প্রত্যেকের একই শরীরে বহু অঙ্গপ্রত্যঙ্গ আছে, আর এসব অঙ্গপ্রত্যঙ্গের কাজ এক নয়,
5 So we being many are one body in Christ, and euery one, one anothers members.
তেমনই খ্রীষ্টে আমরা, যারা অনেকে, এক দেহ গঠন করি এবং প্রত্যেক সদস্য অপর সদস্যদের প্রতি অঙ্গপ্রত্যঙ্গরূপে যুক্ত।
6 Seeing then that we haue gifts that are diuers, according to the grace that is giuen vnto vs, whether we haue prophecie, let vs prophecie according to the portion of faith:
আমাদের প্রতি যে অনুগ্রহ দেওয়া হয়েছে, সেই অনুযায়ী আমাদের বিভিন্ন বরদান আছে। যদি কোনো মানুষের বরদান হয় ভাববাণী বলা, তাহলে সে তার বিশ্বাসের মাত্রা অনুযায়ী তা ব্যবহার করুক।
7 Or an office, let vs waite on the office: or he that teacheth, on teaching:
যদি তা হয় সেবাকাজ করার, তাহলে সে সেবাকাজ করুক; যদি তা হয় শিক্ষাদানের, তাহলে সে শিক্ষাদান করুক;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that distributeth, let him doe it with simplicitie: he that ruleth, with diligence: he that sheweth mercie, with cheerefulnesse.
যদি তা হয় উৎসাহদানের, তবে সে উৎসাহ দান করুক। যদি তা হয় অন্যের প্রয়োজনে দান করার, সে উদারভাবে দান করুক; যদি তা হয় নেতৃত্বদানের, সে নিষ্ঠার সঙ্গে শাসন করুক; তা যদি হয় করুণা প্রদর্শনের, সে আনন্দের সঙ্গেই তা করুক।
9 Let loue be without dissimulation. Abhorre that which is euill, and cleaue vnto that which is good.
প্রেম অকপট হোক। যা মন্দ, তা ঘৃণা করো, যা ভালো, তার প্রতি আসক্ত হও।
10 Be affectioned to loue one another with brotherly loue. In giuing honour, goe one before another,
প্রেমে তোমরা পরস্পরের প্রতি অনুরক্ত হও। নিজেদের থেকেও বেশি একে অপরকে সম্মান করো।
11 Not slouthfull to do seruice: seruent in spirit seruing the Lord,
কর্ম উদ্যোগে শিথিল হোয়ো না, কিন্তু আত্মায় উদ্দীপিত থেকো ও প্রভুর সেবা করো।
12 Reioycing in hope, pacient in tribulation, continuing in prayer,
প্রত্যাশায় আনন্দ করো, কষ্ট-সংকটে সহিষ্ণু হও, প্রার্থনায় বিশ্বস্ত থেকো।
13 Distributing vnto the necessities of the Saintes: giuing your selues to hospitalitie.
ঈশ্বরভক্তদের অভাবে সাহায্য করো। আতিথেয়তার চর্চা করো।
14 Blesse them which persecute you: blesse, I say, and curse not.
যারা তোমাদের নির্যাতন করে, তাদের আশীর্বাদ করো; আশীর্বাদ করো, অভিশাপ দিয়ো না।
15 Reioyce with them that reioyce, and weepe with them that weepe.
যারা আনন্দ করে, তাদের সঙ্গে আনন্দ করো; যারা শোক করে, তাদের সঙ্গে শোক করো।
16 Be of like affection one towardes another: be not hie minded: but make your selues equall to them of the lower sort: be not wise in your selues.
পরস্পরের প্রতি তোমরা সমমনা হও। দাম্ভিক হোয়ো না, কিন্তু সাধারণ মানুষের প্রতি সহযোগিতা করতে ইচ্ছুক হও। নিজেকে বিজ্ঞ বলে মনে করো না।
17 Recompence to no man euill for euill: procure things honest in the sight of all men.
মন্দের পরিশোধে কারও মন্দ করো না। সকলের দৃষ্টিতে যা ন্যায়সংগত, তা করতে যত্নবান হও।
18 If it bee possible, as much as in you is, haue peace with all men.
যদি সম্ভব হয়, তোমার পক্ষে যতদূর সাধ্য, সকলের সঙ্গে শান্তিতে বসবাস করো।
19 Dearely beloued, auenge not your selues, but giue place vnto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine: I will repay, saith the Lord.
হে আমার প্রিয় বন্ধুগণ, তোমরা প্রতিশোধ নিয়ো না, কিন্তু ঈশ্বরের ক্রোধের জন্য স্থান ছেড়ে দাও, কারণ একথা লেখা আছে: “প্রতিশোধ নেওয়া আমারই কাজ, আমি প্রতিফল দেব,” একথা প্রভু বলেন।
20 Therefore, if thine enemie hunger, feede him: if he thirst, giue him drinke: for in so doing, thou shalt heape coales of fire on his head.
বরং, “তোমার শত্রু যদি ক্ষুধার্ত হয়, তাকে খেতে দাও; যদি সে তৃষ্ণার্ত হয়, তাকে পান করার কিছু দাও। এরকম করলে, তুমি তার মাথায় জ্বলন্ত কয়লার স্তূপ চাপিয়ে দেবে।”
21 Bee not ouercome of euill, but ouercome euill with goodnesse.
তুমি মন্দের দ্বারা পরাজিত হোয়ো না, বরং উত্তমের দ্বারা মন্দকে পরাস্ত করো।
