Revelation 8
1 And when he had opened the seuenth seale, there was silence in heauen about halfe an houre.
Dan ketika Anak Domba itu membuka meterai yang ketujuh, maka sunyi senyaplah di sorga, kira-kira setengah jam lamanya.
2 And I sawe the seuen Angels, which stoode before God, and to them were giuen seuen trumpets.
Lalu aku melihat ketujuh malaikat, yang berdiri di hadapan Allah, dan kepada mereka diberikan tujuh sangkakala.
3 Then another Angel came and stoode before the altar hauing a golden censer, and much odours was giuen vnto him, that hee shoulde offer with the prayers of all Saintes vpon the golden altar, which is before the throne.
Maka datanglah seorang malaikat lain, dan ia pergi berdiri dekat mezbah dengan sebuah pedupaan emas. Dan kepadanya diberikan banyak kemenyan untuk dipersembahkannya bersama-sama dengan doa semua orang kudus di atas mezbah emas di hadapan takhta itu.
4 And the smoke of the odours with the prayers of the Saintes, went vp before God, out of the Angels hand.
Maka naiklah asap kemenyan bersama-sama dengan doa orang-orang kudus itu dari tangan malaikat itu ke hadapan Allah.
5 And the Angel tooke the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth, and there were voyces, and thundrings, and lightnings, and earthquake.
Lalu malaikat itu mengambil pedupaan itu, mengisinya dengan api dari mezbah, dan melemparkannya ke bumi. Maka meledaklah bunyi guruh, disertai halilintar dan gempa bumi.
6 Then the seuen Angels, which had the seuen trumpets, prepared themselues to blow the trumpets.
Dan ketujuh malaikat yang memegang ketujuh sangkakala itu bersiap-siap untuk meniup sangkakala.
7 So the first Angell blewe the trumpet, and there was haile and fire, mingled with blood, and they were cast into the earth, and the thirde part of trees was burnt, and all greene grasse was burnt.
Lalu malaikat yang pertama meniup sangkakalanya dan terjadilah hujan es, dan api, bercampur darah; dan semuanya itu dilemparkan ke bumi; maka terbakarlah sepertiga dari bumi dan sepertiga dari pohon-pohon dan hanguslah seluruh rumput-rumputan hijau.
8 And the second Angel blew the trumpet, and as it were a great mountaine, burning with fire, was cast into the sea, and the thirde part of the sea became blood.
Lalu malaikat yang kedua meniup sangkakalanya dan ada sesuatu seperti gunung besar, yang menyala-nyala oleh api, dilemparkan ke dalam laut. Dan sepertiga dari laut itu menjadi darah,
9 And the thirde part of the creatures, which were in the sea, and had life, died, and the thirde part of shippes were destroyed.
dan matilah sepertiga dari segala makhluk yang bernyawa di dalam laut dan binasalah sepertiga dari semua kapal.
10 Then the thirde Angel blew the trumpet, and there fell a great starre from heauen, burning like a torche, and it fell into the thirde part of the riuers, and into the fountaines of waters.
Lalu malaikat yang ketiga meniup sangkakalanya dan jatuhlah dari langit sebuah bintang besar, menyala-nyala seperti obor, dan ia menimpa sepertiga dari sungai-sungai dan mata-mata air.
11 And the name of the starre is called wormewood: therefore the thirde part of the waters became wormewood, and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
Nama bintang itu ialah Apsintus. Dan sepertiga dari semua air menjadi apsintus, dan banyak orang mati karena air itu, sebab sudah menjadi pahit.
12 And the fourth Angel blew the trumpet, and the thirde part of the sunne was smitten, and the thirde part of the moone, and the thirde part of the starres, so that the thirde part of them was darkened: and the day was smitten, that the thirde part of it could not shine, and likewise the night.
Lalu malaikat yang keempat meniup sangkakalanya dan terpukullah sepertiga dari matahari dan sepertiga dari bulan dan sepertiga dari bintang-bintang, sehingga sepertiga dari padanya menjadi gelap dan sepertiga dari siang hari tidak terang dan demikian juga malam hari.
13 And I beheld, and heard one Angel flying thorow the middes of heauen, saying with a loude voyce, Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the sounds to come of the trumpet of the three Angels, which were yet to blowe the trumpets.
Lalu aku melihat: aku mendengar seekor burung nasar terbang di tengah langit dan berkata dengan suara nyaring: "Celaka, celaka, celakalah mereka yang diam di atas bumi oleh karena bunyi sangkakala ketiga malaikat lain, yang masih akan meniup sangkakalanya."
