Revelation 7
1 And after that, I sawe foure Angels stand on the foure corners of the earth, holding the foure windes of the earth, that the winds should not blow on the earth, neither on the sea, neither on any tree.
Après cela, je vis quatre anges debout aux quatre coins de la terre, tenant les quatre vents de la terre, de sorte qu'aucun vent ne soufflait sur la terre, ni sur la mer, ni sur aucun arbre.
2 And I sawe another Angel come vp from the East, which had the seale of the liuing God, and hee cried with a loud voice to the foure Angels to who power was giuen to hurt the earth, and the sea, saying,
Je vis un autre ange monter du haut du soleil levant, ayant le sceau du Dieu vivant. Il cria d'une voix forte aux quatre anges à qui il avait été donné de faire du mal à la terre et à la mer,
3 Hurt ye not the earth, neither the sea, neither the trees, til we haue sealed the seruants of our God in their foreheads.
en disant: « Ne faites pas de mal à la terre, ni à la mer, ni aux arbres, jusqu'à ce que nous ayons marqué du sceau les esclaves de notre Dieu sur leur front. »
4 And I heard the number of them, which were sealed, and there were sealed an hundreth and foure and fourtie thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
J'entendis le nombre de ceux qui avaient été scellés: cent quarante-quatre mille, de toutes les tribus des enfants d'Israël:
5 Of the tribe of Iuda were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Ruben were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelue thousande.
de la tribu de Juda, douze mille furent scellés, de la tribu de Ruben, douze mille, de la tribu de Gad, douze mille,
6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelue thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthali were sealed twelue thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelue thousand.
de la tribu d'Asher, douze mille, de la tribu de Nephtali, douze mille, de la tribu de Manassé, douze mille,
7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Leui were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelue thousand. Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelue thousand.
de la tribu de Siméon, douze mille, de la tribu de Lévi, douze mille, de la tribu d'Issachar, douze mille,
8 Of the tribe of Ioseph were sealed twelue thousande. Of the tribe of Beniamin were sealed twelue thousand.
de la tribu de Zabulon, douze mille, de la tribu de Joseph, douze mille, et de la tribu de Benjamin, douze mille furent scellés.
9 After these thinges I behelde, and loe a great multitude, which no man coulde number, of all nations and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stoode before the throne, and before the Lambe, clothed with long white robes, and palmes in their hands.
Après cela, je regardai, et voici, une grande foule, que personne ne pouvait compter, de toute nation, de toute tribu, de tout peuple, et de toute langue, se tenait devant le trône et devant l'agneau, vêtue de robes blanches, des palmes à la main.
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Saluation commeth of our God, that sitteth vpon the throne, and of the Lambe.
Ils criaient d'une voix forte, en disant: « Le salut est à notre Dieu, qui est assis sur le trône, et à l'Agneau! »
11 And all the Angels stoode rounde about the throne, and about the Elders, and the foure beastes, and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
Tous les anges se tenaient autour du trône, les anciens et les quatre êtres vivants; ils tombèrent sur leur face devant son trône et adorèrent Dieu,
12 Saying, Amen. Praise, and glorie, and wisdom, and thankes, and honour, and power, and might bee vnto our God for euermore, Amen. (aiōn g165)
en disant: « Amen! Bénédiction, gloire, sagesse, action de grâces, honneur, puissance et force, soient à notre Dieu aux siècles des siècles! Amen. » (aiōn g165)
13 And one of the Elders spake, saying vnto me, What are these which are araied in log white robes? and whence came they?
Un des anciens prit la parole et me dit: « Ceux qui sont vêtus de robes blanches, qui sont-ils, et d'où viennent-ils? »
14 And I saide vnto him, Lord, thou knowest. And he saide to me, These are they, which came out of great tribulation, and haue washed their long robes, and haue made their long robes white in the blood of the Lambe.
Je lui ai dit: « Monseigneur, vous le savez. » Il m'a dit: « Ce sont ceux qui sont sortis de la grande souffrance. Ils ont lavé leurs robes et les ont blanchies dans le sang de l'Agneau.
15 Therefore are they in the presence of the throne of God, and serue him day and night in his Temple, and he that sitteth on the throne, wil dwell among them.
C'est pourquoi ils sont devant le trône de Dieu, et ils le servent jour et nuit dans son temple. Celui qui est assis sur le trône étend sur eux sa tente.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more, neither shall the sunne light on them, neither any heate.
Ils n'auront plus jamais faim ni soif. Le soleil ne les frappera pas, ni aucune chaleur;
17 For the Lambe, which is in the middes of the throne, shall gouerne them, and shall leade them vnto the liuely fountaines of waters, and God shall wipe away all teares from their eyes.
car l'Agneau qui est au milieu du trône les fait paître et les conduit vers des sources d'eaux vivifiantes. Et Dieu essuiera toute larme de leurs yeux. »
