Revelation 10
1 And I sawe another mightie Angel come downe from heauen, clothed with a cloude, and the raine bowe vpon his head, and his face was as the sunne, and his feete as pillars of fire.
Je vis un autre ange vigoureux, qui descendait du ciel, enveloppé d'un nuage; l'arc-en-ciel brillait au-dessus de sa tête; son visage était comme le soleil, et ses pieds étaient comme des colonnes de feu.
2 And hee had in his hande a little booke open, and he put his right foote vpon the sea, and his left on the earth,
Il tenait à la main un petit livre ouvert; il posa le pied droit sur la mer et le pied gauche sur la terre;
3 And cried with a loude voyce, as when a lyon roareth: and when he had cried, seuen thunders vttered their voyces.
puis il poussa un cri d'une voix forte, comme un lion qui rugit, et, quand il eut poussé ce cri, les sept tonnerres firent entendre leurs voix.
4 And whe the seuen thunders had vttered their voyces, I was about to write: but I heard a voice from heauen saying vnto me, Seale vp those things which the seuen thunders haue spoken, and write them not.
Après que les tonnerres eurent parlé, je me disposais à écrire, lorsque j'entendis une voix qui venait du ciel, et qui me disait: «Tiens secret ce qu'ont dit les sept tonnerres, ne l'écris point.»
5 And the Angel which I sawe stand vpon the sea, and vpon the earth, lift vp his hand to heauen,
Alors l'ange que j'avais vu debout sur la mer et sur la terre, leva sa main droite vers le ciel,
6 And sware by him that liueth for euermore, which created heauen, and the thinges that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the thinges that therein are, that time should be no more. (aiōn g165)
et jura par celui qui vit aux siècles des siècles, qui a créé le ciel et les choses qui y sont, la terre et les choses qui y sont, et la mer et les choses qui y sont, qu'il n'y aurait plus de délai, (aiōn g165)
7 But in the dayes of the voyce of the seuenth Angel, when he shall beginne to blow the trumpet, euen the mysterie of God shalbe finished, as he hath declared to his seruants the Prophets.
mais qu'aux jours où le septième ange ferait entendre sa voix en sonnant de la trompette, le mystère de Dieu s'accomplirait aussi, comme il l'a annoncé à ses serviteurs, les prophètes.
8 And the voyce which I heard from heauen, spake vnto me againe, and said, Go and take the litle booke which is open in the hand of the Angel, which standeth vpon the sea and vpon the earth.
Et la voix que j'avais entendue venant du ciel, me parla de nouveau, et me dit: «Va, prends le petit livre ouvert dans la main de l'ange qui se tient debout sur la mer et sur la terre.»
9 So I went vnto the Angel, and saide to him, Giue me the litle booke. And he said vnto me, Take it, and eate it vp, and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shalbe in thy mouth as sweete as honie.
J'allai donc vers l'ange, et je lui demandai le petit livre, et il me dit: «Prends-le et l'avale; il sera amer à tes entrailles, mais ta bouche le trouvera doux comme du miel.»
10 Then I tooke the litle booke out of ye Angels hand, and ate it vp, and it was in my mouth as sweete as hony: but whe I had eaten it my belly was bitter.
Je pris le petit livre de la main de l'ange, et je l'avalai; il fut doux à ma bouche comme du miel, puis, quand je l'eus avalé, je sentis de l'amertume dans les entrailles.
11 And he said vnto me, Thou must prophecie againe among the people and nations, and tongues, and to many Kings.
Et l’on me dit: «Il faut que tu prophétises de nouveau sur des peuples, des nations, des langues diverses et des rois en grand nombre.»
