Psalms 99

1 The Lord reigneth, let the people tremble: he sitteth betweene the Cherubims, let the earth be moued.

L'Eternel règne, que les peuples tremblent; il est assis entre les Chérubins, que la terre soit ébranlée.

2 The Lord is great in Zion, and he is high aboue all the people.

L'Eternel est grand en Sion, et il est élevé par-dessus tous les peuples.

3 They shall prayse thy great and fearefull Name (for it is holy)

Ils célébreront ton Nom, grand et terrible; car il est saint;

4 And the Kings power, that loueth iudgement: for thou hast prepared equitie: thou hast executed iudgement and iustice in Iaakob.

Et la force du Roi, [car] il aime la justice; tu as ordonné l'équité, tu as prononcé des jugements justes en Jacob.

5 Exalt the Lord our God, and fall downe before his footestoole: for he is holy.

Exaltez l'Eternel notre Dieu, et prosternez-vous devant son marchepied; il est saint.

6 Moses and Aaron were among his Priests, and Samuel among such as call vpon his Name: these called vpon the Lord, and he heard them.

Moïse et Aaron ont été entre ses Sacrificateurs; et Samuel entre ceux qui invoquaient son Nom; ils invoquaient l'Eternel, et il leur répondait.

7 Hee spake vnto them in the cloudie pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the Lawe that he gaue them.

Il parlait à eux de la colonne de nuée; ils ont gardé ses témoignages et l'ordonnance qu'il leur avait donnée.

8 Thou heardest them, O Lord our God: thou wast a fauourable God vnto them, though thou didst take vengeance for their inuentions.

Ô Eternel mon Dieu! tu les as exaucés, tu leur as été un [Dieu] Fort, leur pardonnant, et faisant vengeance de leurs actes.

9 Exalt the Lord our God, and fall downe before his holy Mountaine: for the Lord our God is holy.

Exaltez l'Eternel notre Dieu, et prosternez-vous en la montagne de sa Sainteté, car l'Eternel, notre Dieu est saint.
