Psalms 95
1 Come, let vs reioyce vnto the Lord: let vs sing aloude vnto the rocke of our saluation.
Kommt, laßt uns dem HERRN zujubeln, jauchzen dem Felsen unsers Heils!
2 Let vs come before his face with praise: let vs sing loude vnto him with Psalmes.
Laßt uns mit Dank vor sein Angesicht treten, mit Liedern ihm jauchzen!
3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King aboue all gods.
Denn ein großer Gott ist der HERR und ein großer König über alle Götter,
4 In whose hande are the deepe places of the earth, and the heightes of the mountaines are his:
er, in dessen Hand die Tiefen der Erde sind und dem auch die Gipfel der Berge gehören;
5 To whome the Sea belongeth: for hee made it, and his handes formed the dry land.
er, dem das Meer gehört: er hat’s ja geschaffen, und das Festland: seine Hände haben’s gebildet.
6 Come, let vs worship and fall downe, and kneele before the Lord our maker.
Kommt, laßt uns anbeten und niederfallen, die Knie beugen vor dem HERRN, unserm Schöpfer!
7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheepe of his hande: to day, if ye will heare his voyce,
Denn er ist unser Gott, und wir das Volk seiner Weide, die Herde seiner Hand. Möchtet ihr heute doch hören auf seine Stimme:
8 Harden not your heart, as in Meribah, and as in the day of Massah in the wildernesse.
»Verstockt nicht euer Herz wie bei Meriba, wie am Tage von Massa in der Wüste,
9 Where your fathers tempted me, proued me, though they had seene my worke.
woselbst eure Väter mich versuchten, mich prüften, obwohl sie doch sahen mein Tun.
10 Fourtie yeeres haue I contended with this generation, and said, They are a people that erre in heart, for they haue not knowen my wayes.
Vierzig Jahre hegte ich Abscheu gegen dieses Geschlecht, und sagte: ›Sie sind ein Volk mit irrendem Herzen‹; sie aber wollten von meinen Wegen nichts wissen.
11 Wherefore I sware in my wrath, saying, Surely they shall not enter into my rest.
So schwur ich denn in meinem Zorn: ›Sie sollen nicht eingehn in meine Ruhstatt!‹«
