< Psalms 93 >
1 The Lord reigneth, and is clothed with maiestie: the Lord is clothed, and girded with power: the world also shall be established, that it cannot be mooued.
The Praise of a Canticle, of David himself. In the time before the Sabbath, when the earth was founded. The Lord has reigned. He has been clothed with beauty. The Lord has been clothed with strength, and he has girded himself. Yet he has also confirmed the world, which will not be moved.
2 Thy throne is established of olde: thou art from euerlasting.
My throne is prepared from of old. You are from everlasting.
3 The floodes haue lifted vp, O Lord: the floodes haue lifted vp their voyce: the floods lift vp their waues.
The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice. The floods have lifted up their waves,
4 The waues of ye sea are marueilous through the noyse of many waters, yet the Lord on High is more mightie.
before the noise of many waters. Wondrous are the surges of the sea; wondrous is the Lord on high.
5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holinesse becommeth thine House, O Lord, for euer.
Your testimonies have been made exceedingly trustworthy. Sanctity befits your house, O Lord, with length of days.
