Psalms 90
1 A prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, thou hast bene our habitation from generation to generation.
Orazione di Mosè, uomo di Dio O SIGNORE, tu ci sei stato un abitacolo In ogni età.
2 Before the mountaines were made, and before thou hadst formed the earth, and the world, euen from euerlasting to euerlasting thou art our God.
Avanti che i monti fosser nati, E che tu avessi formata la terra ed il mondo; Anzi ab eterno in eterno tu [sei] Dio.
3 Thou turnest man to destruction: againe thou sayest, Returne, ye sonnes of Adam.
Tu fai ritornar l'uomo in polvere, E dici: Ritornate, o figliuoli degli uomini.
4 For a thousande yeeres in thy sight are as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Perciocchè mille anni [sono] appo te Come il giorno d'ieri, quando è passato; O [come] una vegghia nella notte.
5 Thou hast ouerflowed them: they are as a sleepe: in the morning he groweth like the grasse:
Tu porti via gli [uomini], come per una piena d'acque; Essi [non] sono [altro che] un sogno; Son come l'erba che si rinnovella la mattina.
6 In the morning it florisheth and groweth, but in the euening it is cut downe and withereth.
La mattina ella fiorisce e si rinnovella; E la sera è segata e si secca.
7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Perciocchè noi veniam meno per la tua ira; E siam conturbati per lo tuo cruccio.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, and our secret sinnes in the light of thy countenance.
Tu metti davanti a te le nostre iniquità, [E] i nostri [peccati] occulti alla luce della tua faccia.
9 For all our dayes are past in thine anger: we haue spent our yeeres as a thought.
Conciossiachè tutti i nostri giorni dichinino per la tua ira; Noi abbiam forniti gli anni nostri [così presto] come una parola.
10 The time of our life is threescore yeeres and ten, and if they be of strength, fourescore yeeres: yet their strength is but labour and sorowe: for it is cut off quickly, and we flee away.
I giorni de' nostri anni, in alcuni [non sono che] settant'anni; E [in altri], se ve ne sono di [maggiori] forze, [che] ottant'anni; Ed [anche] il fiore di quelli [non è altro che] travaglio e vanità; Perciocchè di subito è riciso, e noi ce ne voliam via.
11 Who knoweth the power of thy wrath? for according to thy feare is thine anger.
Chi conosce la forza della tua ira, E la tua indegnazione, secondo che devi esser temuto?
12 Teach vs so to nomber our dayes, that we may apply our heartes vnto wisdome.
Insegna[ci] adunque a contare i nostri dì; Acciocchè acquistiamo un cuor savio.
13 Returne (O Lord, howe long?) and be pacified toward thy seruants.
Rivolgiti, Signore; infino a quando? E sii rappacificato inverso i tuoi servitori.
14 Fill vs with thy mercie in the morning: so shall we reioyce and be glad all our dayes.
Saziaci [ogni] mattina della tua benignità; Acciocchè giubiliamo, e ci rallegriamo tutti i dì nostri.
15 Comfort vs according to the dayes that thou hast afflicted vs, and according to the yeeres that we haue seene euill.
Rallegraci, al par de' giorni che tu ci hai affliti; Degli anni che abbiamo sentito il male.
16 Let thy worke bee seene towarde thy seruants, and thy glory vpon their children.
Apparisca l'opera tua verso i tuoi servitori, E la tua gloria verso i lor figliuoli.
17 And let the beautie of the Lord our God be vpon vs, and direct thou the worke of our hands vpon vs, euen direct the worke of our handes.
E sia il piacevole sguardo del Signore Iddio nostro sopra noi; E addirizza, [o Signore], sopra noi l'opera delle nostre mani.
