Psalms 90
1 A prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, thou hast bene our habitation from generation to generation.
૧હે ઈશ્વર, પેઢી દરપેઢી તમે અમારું નિવાસસ્થાન થયા છો.
2 Before the mountaines were made, and before thou hadst formed the earth, and the world, euen from euerlasting to euerlasting thou art our God.
૨પર્વતો ઉત્પન્ન થયા હતા, અને તમે પૃથ્વી અને જગતને રચ્યાં હતાં, તે પહેલાંથી, એટલે અનાદિકાળથી તે અનંતકાળ સુધી, તમે ઈશ્વર છો.
3 Thou turnest man to destruction: againe thou sayest, Returne, ye sonnes of Adam.
૩તમે મનુષ્યોને ધૂળમાં પાછા મેળવી દો છો અને તમે કહો છો, “હે મનુષ્યપુત્રો પાછા ફરો.”
4 For a thousande yeeres in thy sight are as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
૪કારણ કે તમારી દ્રષ્ટિમાં હજાર વર્ષો વીતી ગયેલી કાલના જેવાં છે અને રાતના એક પહોર જેવાં છે.
5 Thou hast ouerflowed them: they are as a sleepe: in the morning he groweth like the grasse:
૫તમે તેઓને પૂરની જેમ તાણી જાઓ છો અને તેઓ નિંદ્રા જેવાં છે; તેઓ સવારમાં ઊગતાં ઘાસ જેવા છે.
6 In the morning it florisheth and groweth, but in the euening it is cut downe and withereth.
૬તે સવારે ખીલે છે અને વધે છે; સાંજે સુકાઈ જાય છે અને ચીમળાય છે.
7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
૭ખરેખર, તમારા કોપથી અમારો નાશ થાય છે અને તમારા રોષથી અમને ત્રાસ થાય છે.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, and our secret sinnes in the light of thy countenance.
૮તમે અમારા અન્યાય તમારી સમક્ષ, અમારાં ગુપ્ત પાપો તમારા મુખના પ્રકાશમાં મૂક્યાં છે.
9 For all our dayes are past in thine anger: we haue spent our yeeres as a thought.
૯તમારા રોષમાં અમારા સર્વ દિવસો વીતી જાય છે; નિસાસાની જેમ અમે અમારા વર્ષો પૂરાં કરીએ છીએ.
10 The time of our life is threescore yeeres and ten, and if they be of strength, fourescore yeeres: yet their strength is but labour and sorowe: for it is cut off quickly, and we flee away.
૧૦અમારી ઉંમરના દિવસો સિત્તેર વર્ષ જેટલા છે, અથવા બળના કારણથી તેઓ એંસી વર્ષ થાય; પણ તેઓનો ગર્વ, શ્રમ તથા દુ: ખમાત્ર છે. હા, તે ઝડપથી પસાર થઈ જાય છે અને અમે ઊડી જઈએ છીએ.
11 Who knoweth the power of thy wrath? for according to thy feare is thine anger.
૧૧તમારા ક્રોધના બળને તથા તમારો રોષ ધ્યાનમાં લઈને તે પ્રમાણે તમારી બીક રાખવી તે કોણ જાણે છે?
12 Teach vs so to nomber our dayes, that we may apply our heartes vnto wisdome.
૧૨તમે અમને અમારું જીવન એવી રીતે ગણવાને શીખવો કે જેથી અમને ડહાપણવાળું હૃદય પ્રાપ્ત થાય.
13 Returne (O Lord, howe long?) and be pacified toward thy seruants.
૧૩હે યહોવાહ, પાછા આવો; ક્યાં સુધી? તમારા સેવકો પર કરુણા કરો.
14 Fill vs with thy mercie in the morning: so shall we reioyce and be glad all our dayes.
૧૪સવારે અમને તમારી કૃપાથી ભરી દો, કે જેથી અમે અમારા સર્વ દિવસો હર્ષ તથા આનંદમાં ગુજારીએ.
15 Comfort vs according to the dayes that thou hast afflicted vs, and according to the yeeres that we haue seene euill.
૧૫જે દિવસોમાં તમે અમને દુઃખી કર્યા છે અને જે વર્ષોમાં અમે પીડા ભોગવી છે, તે પ્રમાણે અમને આનંદ પમાડો.
16 Let thy worke bee seene towarde thy seruants, and thy glory vpon their children.
૧૬તમારા સેવકોને તમારાં કૃત્યો અને તેઓના દીકરાઓ પર તમારો મહિમા દેખાઓ.
17 And let the beautie of the Lord our God be vpon vs, and direct thou the worke of our hands vpon vs, euen direct the worke of our handes.
૧૭અમારા પર અમારા પ્રભુ ઈશ્વરની કૃપા થાઓ; તમે અમારા હાથનાં કામ અમારે માટે સ્થાપન કરો; હા, અમારા હાથનાં કામ તમે સ્થાપન કરો.
