Psalms 89

1 A Psalme to give instruction, of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing the mercies of the Lord for euer: with my mouth will I declare thy trueth from generation to generation.

எஸ்ராகியனாகிய ஏத்தானின் மஸ்கீல் என்னும் சங்கீதம். யெகோவாவின் உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பை நான் என்றென்றும் பாடுவேன்; எல்லாத் தலைமுறைகளுக்கும் உமது சத்தியத்தை என் வாயினால் தெரியப்படுத்துவேன்.

2 For I said, Mercie shalbe set vp for euer: thy trueth shalt thou stablish in ye very heauens.

உமது உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பு என்றென்றைக்கும் உறுதியாய் நிலைக்கிறது என்று அறிவிப்பேன்; நீர் உமது சத்தியத்தை வானத்தில் நிறுவினீர் என்பதையும் நான் அறிவிப்பேன்.

3 I haue made a couenant with my chosen: I haue sworne to Dauid my seruant,

“நான் தெரிந்துகொண்டவனோடு ஓர் உடன்படிக்கையை ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கிறேன்; என் அடியவனாகிய தாவீதுக்கு ஆணையிட்டிருக்கிறேன்.

4 Thy seede will I stablish for euer, and set vp thy throne from generation to generation. (Selah)

‘உன் வம்சத்தை என்றென்றும் நிலைநிறுத்தி, எல்லாத் தலைமுறைகளிலும் உன் சிங்காசனத்தை உறுதிப்படுத்துவேன்’” என்று நீர் சொன்னீர்.

5 O Lord, euen the heauens shall prayse thy wonderous worke: yea, thy trueth in the Congregation of the Saints.

யெகோவாவே, வானங்கள் உமது அதிசயங்களைப் புகழ்கின்றன; அவை பரிசுத்தவான்களின் சபையிலே உமது சத்தியத்தைப் புகழ்கின்றன.

6 For who is equall to the Lord in the heauen? and who is like the Lord among the sonnes of the gods?

மேலே ஆகாயத்தில் உள்ளவர்களில் யெகோவாவுடன் ஒப்பிடத்தக்கவர் யார்? பரலோக தூதர்களின் மத்தியில் யெகோவாவைப் போன்றவர் யார்?

7 God is very terrible in the assemblie of the Saints, and to be reuerenced aboue all, that are about him.

பரிசுத்தவான்களின் சபையில் இறைவனே மிகவும் பயத்திற்கு உரியவராயிருக்கிறார்; தம்மைச் சுற்றியுள்ள எல்லாரைப்பார்க்கிலும் அவரே பிரமிக்கத்தக்கவர்.

8 O Lord God of hostes, who is like vnto thee, which art a mightie Lord, and thy trueth is about thee?

சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, உம்மைப்போல் யாருண்டு? யெகோவாவே, நீர் வல்லவர்; உமது சத்தியம் உம்மைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறது.

9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waues thereof arise, thou stillest them.

பொங்கியெழும் கடலின்மேல் நீர் ஆளுகை செய்கிறீர்; அதின் அலைகள் பயங்கரமாக எழும்பும்போது நீர் அவற்றை அமைதியாக்குகிறீர்.

10 Thou hast beaten downe Rahab as a man slaine: thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy mightie arme.

நீர் ராகாபை அழிந்தவர்களில் ஒருவரைப்போல் நொறுக்கினீர்; உமது பலமுள்ள புயத்தினால் உமது பகைவரைச் சிதறடித்தீர்.

11 The heauens are thine, the earth also is thine: thou hast layde the foundation of the world, and all that therein is.

வானங்கள் உம்முடையவை, பூமியும் உம்முடையதே; உலகத்தையும் அதிலுள்ள அனைத்தையும் நீரே நிலைநிறுத்தினீர்.

12 Thou hast created the North and the South: Tabor and Hermon shall reioyce in thy Name.

வடக்கையும் தெற்கையும் நீர் ஏற்படுத்தினீர்; தாபோரும் எர்மோனும் உமது பெயரில் மகிழ்ந்து பாடுகின்றன.

13 Thou hast a mightie arme: strong is thine hand, and high is thy right hand.

உமது புயம் வலிமைமிக்கது; உமது கரம் பலமுள்ளது, உமது வலதுகரம் உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

14 Righteousnesse and equitie are the stablishment of thy throne: mercy and trueth goe before thy face.

நீதியும் நியாயமும் உமது சிங்காசனத்தின் அடித்தளம்; அன்பும் சத்தியமும் உமக்குமுன் செல்கின்றன.

15 Blessed is the people, that can reioyce in thee: they shall walke in the light of thy countenance, O Lord.

யெகோவாவே உம்மை ஆர்ப்பரித்துத் துதிக்க அறிந்தவர்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்; அவர்கள் உமது பிரசன்னத்தின் வெளிச்சத்திலே நடப்பார்கள்.

16 They shall reioyce continually in thy Name, and in thy righteousnes shall they exalt them selues.

அவர்கள் நாள்தோறும் உமது பெயரில் களிகூருகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் உமது நீதியில் மேன்மை அடைவார்கள்.

17 For thou art the glory of their strength, and by thy fauour our hornes shall be exalted.

நீரே அவர்களின் மகிமையும் பெலனுமாய் இருக்கிறீர்; நீர் உமது தயவினால் எங்கள் பலத்தை உயரப்பண்ணினீர்.

18 For our shield apperteineth to the Lord, and our King to the holy one of Israel.

உண்மையாகவே எங்கள் கேடயம் யெகோவாவுக்குரியது; எங்கள் அரசர் இஸ்ரயேலின் பரிசுத்தருக்குரியவர்.

19 Thou spakest then in a vision vnto thine Holy one, and saydest, I haue layde helpe vpon one that is mightie: I haue exalted one chosen out of the people.

நீர் ஒருமுறை தரிசனத்தில், உமக்கு உண்மையான மக்களுடன் பேசிச் சொன்னதாவது: “நான் ஒரு வீரனைப் பலத்தால் நிறைத்தேன்; மக்கள் மத்தியிலிருந்து நான் ஓர் இளைஞனை உயர்த்தியிருக்கிறேன்.

20 I haue found Dauid my seruant: with mine holy oyle haue I anoynted him.

நான் என் பணியாளனான தாவீதைக் கண்டுபிடித்தேன்; என் பரிசுத்த எண்ணெயால் அவனை அபிஷேகம் செய்தேன்.

21 Therefore mine hande shall be established with him, and mine arme shall strengthen him.

என் கரம் அவனைத் தாங்கும்; நிச்சயமாகவே என் புயம் அவனைப் பலப்படுத்தும்.

22 The enemie shall not oppresse him, neither shall the wicked hurt him.

பகைவன் அவனைக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தமாட்டான்; கொடியவன் அவனை ஒடுக்கவுமாட்டான்.

23 But I will destroy his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

நான் அவனுடைய எதிரிகளை அவனுக்கு முன்பாக நொறுக்குவேன், அவனுடைய விரோதிகளை அடித்து வீழ்த்துவேன்.

24 My trueth also and my mercie shall be with him, and in my Name shall his horne be exalted.

என் உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பும் சத்தியமும் அவனோடிருக்கும்; என் பெயரால் அவன் பலம் உயரும்.

25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the floods.

நான் அவனுடைய ஆளுகையை கடலுக்கு மேலாகவும், அவனுடைய ஆட்சியை ஆறுகளுக்கு மேலாகவும் பரப்புவேன்.

26 He shall cry vnto mee, Thou art my Father, my God and the rocke of my saluation.

அவன் என்னை நோக்கி, ‘நீரே என் தகப்பன், என் இறைவன், என் இரட்சகராகிய கன்மலை’ என்று கூப்பிடுவான்.

27 Also I wil make him my first borne, higher then the Kings of the earth.

நான் அவனை எனது முதற்பேறான மகனாகவும், பூமியின் அரசர்களிலெல்லாம் மிக உயர்ந்தவனாகவும் நியமிப்பேன்.

28 My mercie will I keepe for him for euermore, and my couenant shall stande fast with him.

நான் எப்பொழுதும் அவனுக்கு என் உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பை வழங்குவேன்; நான் அவனோடு செய்யும் உடன்படிக்கை ஒருபோதும் மாறாது.

29 His seede also will I make to endure for euer, and his throne as the dayes of heauen.

நான் அவனுடைய வம்சத்தை என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைப்படுத்துவேன்; அவனுடைய சிங்காசனத்தை வானங்கள் உள்ளமட்டும் நிலைப்படுத்துவேன்.

30 But if his children forsake my Lawe, and walke not in my iudgements:

“அவனுடைய மகன்கள் என் சட்டத்தைக் கைவிட்டு, என் நியமங்களைப் பின்பற்றாது போனால்,

31 If they breake my statutes, and keepe not my commandements:

என் விதிமுறைகளை மீறி, எனது கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளத் தவறினால்,

32 Then will I visite their transgression with the rod, and their iniquitie with strokes.

நான் அவர்களுடைய பாவத்தைத் தடியினாலும், அவர்களுடைய அநியாயத்தை சவுக்கடியினாலும் தண்டிப்பேன்;

33 Yet my louing kindnesse will I not take from him, neither will I falsifie my trueth.

ஆனாலும் நான் என் உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பை அவனைவிட்டு அகற்றமாட்டேன்; என் வாக்குறுதியை ஒருபோதும் மாற்றவுமாட்டேன்.

34 My couenant wil I not breake, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

நான் என் உடன்படிக்கையை மீறமாட்டேன்; என் உதடுகள் சொன்னதை மாற்றவுமாட்டேன்.

35 I haue sworne once by mine holines, that I will not fayle Dauid, saying,

ஒரேதரமாக நான் என் பரிசுத்தத்தைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிட்டிருக்கிறேன்; தாவீதுக்கு நான் பொய்சொல்லமாட்டேன்:

36 His seede shall endure for euer, and his throne shalbe as the sunne before me.

அவன் சந்ததி என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைக்கும், அவன் சிங்காசனம் சூரியனைப்போல எனக்கு முன்பாக நிலைநிற்கும்;

37 He shalbe established for euermore as the moone, and as a faythfull witnes in the heauen. (Selah)

அது ஆகாயத்தின் உண்மையான சாட்சியாக சந்திரனைப்போல என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைநிறுத்தப்படும்.”

38 But thou hast reiected and abhorred, thou hast bene angry with thine Anoynted.

ஆனாலும், இப்பொழுது நீர் அவனைத் தள்ளி, அவனைப் புறக்கணித்து விட்டிருக்கிறீர்; நீர் அபிஷேகம் பண்ணியவன்மேல் கோபமாயிருக்கிறீர்.

39 Thou hast broken the couenant of thy seruant, and profaned his crowne, casting it on the ground.

உமது பணியாளனுடன் செய்த உடன்படிக்கையை கைவிட்டு, அவனுடைய கிரீடத்தைத் தூசியில் தள்ளி அவமானப்படுத்தினீர்.

40 Thou hast broken downe all his walles: thou hast layd his fortresses in ruine.

நீர் அவனுடைய மதில்களைத் தகர்த்து, அவனுடைய அரண்களையெல்லாம் இடித்துத் தூளாக்கினீர்.

41 All that goe by the way, spoyle him: he is a rebuke vnto his neighbours.

கடந்து செல்லும் அனைவருமே அவனைக் கொள்ளையிட்டார்கள்; அவன் தனது அயலவர்களின் இகழ்ச்சிக்குள்ளானான்.

42 Thou hast set vp the right hand of his enemies, and made all his aduersaries to reioyce.

நீர் அவனுடைய எதிரிகளின் வலதுகையை உயர்த்தினீர்; அவனுடைய பகைவர் அனைவரும் மகிழும்படி செய்தீர்.

43 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sworde, and hast not made him to stand in the battell.

நீர் அவனுடைய வாளின் முனையை மழுங்கப்பண்ணி, யுத்தத்தில் அவனுக்குத் துணைசெய்யாதிருந்தீர்.

44 Thou hast caused his dignitie to decay, and cast his throne to the ground.

நீர் அவனுடைய சிறப்புக்கு முடிவை ஏற்படுத்தி, அவனுடைய சிங்காசனத்தை தரையிலே தள்ளினீர்.

45 The dayes of his youth hast thou shortned, and couered him with shame. (Selah)

நீர் அவனுடைய வாலிப நாட்களை குறுகப்பண்ணி, அவனை வெட்கத்தின் உடையால் மூடினீர்.

46 Lord, howe long wilt thou hide thy selfe, for euer? shall thy wrath burne like fire?

யெகோவாவே, நீர் எவ்வளவு காலத்திற்கு மறைந்திருப்பீர்? நீர் என்றென்றுமாய் மறைந்திருப்பீரோ? எவ்வளவு காலத்திற்கு உமது கோபம் நெருப்பைப்போல் பற்றியெரியும்?

47 Remember of what time I am: wherefore shouldest thou create in vaine all the children of men?

என் வாழ்வு எவ்வளவு துரிதமாய் முடிவடைகிறது என்பதை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளும்; பயனற்ற நோக்கத்திற்காகவா நீர் எல்லா மக்களையும் படைத்தீர்!

48 What man liueth, and shall not see death? shall hee deliuer his soule from the hande of the graue? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)

மரணத்தைக் காணாமல் யார் உயிரோடிருப்பான்? அல்லது யார் பாதாளத்தின் வல்லமையிலிருந்து தன்னைக் காப்பாற்றிக்கொள்வான்? (Sheol h7585)

49 Lord, where are thy former mercies, which thou swarest vnto Dauid in thy trueth?

யெகோவாவே, நீர் உமது சத்தியத்தில் தாவீதுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட உமது முந்தைய உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பு எங்கே?

50 Remember, O Lord, the rebuke of thy seruants, which I beare in my bosome of all the mightie people.

யெகோவாவே, உமது அடியவன் எவ்வளவாய் ஏளனம் செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன் என்பதையும் எல்லா நாட்டு மக்களின் நிந்தைகளை நான் என் இருதயத்தில் எவ்வாறு சகிக்கிறேன் என்பதையும் நினைத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

51 For thine enemies haue reproched thee, O Lord, because they haue reproched the footesteps of thine Anointed.

யெகோவாவே, உமது பகைவர் ஏளனம் செய்த நிந்தனை வார்த்தைகளையும், நீர் அபிஷேகித்தவரின் ஒவ்வொரு காலடிகளையும் அவர்கள் ஏளனம் செய்ததையும் நினைத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

52 Praised be the Lord for euermore. So be it, euen so be it.

யெகோவாவுக்கு என்றென்றைக்கும் துதி உண்டாவதாக!
