Psalms 85
1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Lord, thou hast bene fauourable vnto thy land: thou hast brought againe the captiuitie of Iaakob.
Zborovođi. Sinova Korahovih. Psalam. Zavolje opet, Jahve, zemlju svoju, na dobro okrenu udes Jakovljev.
2 Thou hast forgiuen the iniquitie of thy people, and couered all their sinnes. (Selah)
Otpusti krivnju narodu svome, pokri sve grijehe njegove.
3 Thou hast withdrawen all thine anger, and hast turned backe from the fiercenes of thy wrath.
Suspregnu svu ljutinu svoju, odusta od žestine gnjeva svoga.
4 Turne vs, O God of our saluation, and release thine anger toward vs.
Obnovi nas, Bože, Spasitelju naš, i odbaci zlovolju prema nama!
5 Wilt thou be angry with vs for euer? and wilt thou prolong thy wrath from one generation to another?
Zar ćeš se dovijeka gnjeviti na nas, prenositi srdžbu svoju od koljena na koljeno?
6 Wilt thou not turne againe and quicken vs, that thy people may reioyce in thee?
Zar nas nećeš opet oživiti da se narod tvoj raduje u tebi?
7 Shew vs thy mercie, O Lord, and graunt vs thy saluation.
Pokaži nam, Jahve, milosrđe svoje i daj nam svoje spasenje.
8 I will hearken what the Lord God will say: for he will speake peace vnto his people, and to his Saintes, that they turne not againe to follie.
Da poslušam što mi to Jahve govori: Jahve obećava mir narodu svomu, vjernima svojim, onima koji mu se svim srcem vrate.
9 Surely his saluation is neere to them that feare him, that glory may dwell in our land.
Zaista, blizu je njegovo spasenje onima koji ga se boje, i slava će njegova živjeti u zemlji našoj.
10 Mercie and trueth shall meete: righteousnes and peace shall kisse one another.
Ljubav će se i Vjernost sastati, Pravda i Mir zagrliti.
11 Trueth shall bud out of the earth, and righteousnes shall looke downe from heauen.
Vjernost će nicat' iz zemlje, Pravda će gledat' s nebesa.
12 Yea, the Lord shall giue good things, and our land shall giue her increase.
Jahve će dati blagoslov i sreću, i zemlja naša urod svoj.
13 Righteousnesse shall go before him, and shall set her steps in the way.
Pravda će stupati pred njim, a Mir tragom stopa njegovih.
