Psalms 83
1 A song, or Psalme committed to Asaph. Keep not thou silence, O God: bee not still, and cease not, O God.
Ó Deus, não estejas em silencio; não te cales, nem te aquietes, ó Deus.
2 For lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee, haue lifted vp the head.
Porque eis que teus inimigos fazem tumulto, e os que te aborrecem levantaram a cabeça.
3 They haue taken craftie counsell against thy people, and haue consulted against thy secret ones.
Tomaram astuto conselho contra o teu povo, e consultavam contra os teus escondidos.
4 They haue said, Come and let vs cut them off from being a nation: and let the name of Israel be no more in remembrance.
Disseram: Vinde, e desarreiguemol-os para que não sejam nação, nem haja mais memoria do nome de Israel.
5 For they haue consulted together in heart, and haue made a league against thee:
Porque consultaram juntos e unanimes; elles se alliam contra ti:
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Agarims:
As tendas de Edom, e dos ismaelitas, de Moab, e dos agarenos,
7 Gebal and Ammon, and Amalech, the Philistims with the inhabitants of Tyrus:
De Gebal, e de Ammon, e de Amalek, de Palestina, com os moradores de Tyro.
8 Asshur also is ioyned with them: they haue bene an arme to the children of Lot. (Selah)
Tambem Assyria se ajuntou com elles: foram ajudar aos filhos de Lot (Selah)
9 Doe thou to them as vnto the Midianites: as to Sisera and as to Iabin at the riuer of Kishon.
Faze-lhes como aos madianitas; como a Sisera, como a Jabin na ribeira de Kison.
10 They perished at En-dor, and were dung for the earth.
Os quaes pereceram em Endor; tornaram-se como estrume para a terra.
11 Make them, euen their princes like Oreb and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes like Zebah and like Zalmuna.
Faze aos seus nobres como a Oreb, e como a Zeeb e a todos os seus principes, como a Zebah e como a Zalmuna;
12 Which haue said, Let vs take for our possession the habitations of God.
Que disseram: Tomemos para nós as casas de Deus em possessão.
13 O my God, make them like vnto a wheele, and as the stubble before the winde.
Deus meu, faze-os como um tufão, como a aresta diante do vento.
14 As the fire burneth the forest, and as the flame setteth the mountaines on fire:
Como o fogo que queima um bosque, e como a chamma que incendeia as brenhas,
15 So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraide with thy storme.
Assim os persegue com a tua tempestade, e os assombra com o teu torvelinho.
16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seeke thy Name, O Lord.
Encham-se de vergonha as suas faces, para que busquem o teu nome, Senhor.
17 Let them be confounded and troubled for euer: yea, let them be put to shame and perish,
Confundam-se e assombrem-se perpetuamente; envergonhem-se, e pereçam.
18 That they may knowe that thou, which art called Iehouah, art alone, euen the most High ouer all the earth.
Para que saibam que tu, a quem só pertence o nome de Jehovah, és o Altissimo sobre toda a terra.
