Psalms 82

1 A Psalme committed to Aspah. God standeth in the assemblie of gods: hee iudgeth among gods.

Zsoltár Ászáftól. Isten ott áll isteni gyülekezetben, istenek közepette itél:

2 How long wil ye iudge vniustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? (Selah)

Meddig itéltek jogtalanul s a gonoszok személyét tekintitek? Széla.

3 Doe right to the poore and fatherlesse: doe iustice to the poore and needie.

Szerezzetek jogot ügyefogyottnak és árvának, nyomorút és szegényt mentsetek föl;

4 Deliuer the poore and needie: saue them from the hand of the wicked.

szabadítsatok meg ügyefogyottat és szűkölködőt, a gonoszok kezéből mentsétek meg!

5 They knowe not and vnderstand nothing: they walke in darkenes, albeit all the foundations of the earth be mooued.

Nem tudnak és nem értenek, sötétségben járnak, meginognak mind a föld alapjai!

6 I haue said, Ye are gods, and ye all are children of the most High.

Én azt mondtam: istenek vagytok, a Legfelsőnek fiai mindnyájatok.

7 But ye shall die as a man, and yee princes, shall fall like others.

Ámde mint emberek haltok meg s mint a nagyok egyike estek el.

8 O God, arise, therefore iudge thou the earth: for thou shalt inherite all nations.

Kelj föl, Isten, ítéld a földet! Mert te vagy birtokosa mind a nemzeteknek.
