Psalms 8

1 To him that excelleth on Gittith. A Psalme of Dauid. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy Name in all the worlde! which hast set thy glory aboue the heauens.

ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಗಿತ್ತೀ ರಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು. ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ವೈಭವವುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ! ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

2 Out of the mouth of babes and suckelings hast thou ordeined strength, because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemie and the auenger.

ಸಣ್ಣ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಲುಣ್ಣುವ ಕೂಸುಗಳ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಭದ್ರಕೋಟೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವವರನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಸುಮ್ಮಗಿರಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

3 When I beholde thine heauens, euen the workes of thy fingers, the moone and the starres which thou hast ordeined,

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆರಳಿನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವನ್ನೂ ನೀವು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ ಚಂದ್ರನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ,

4 What is man, say I, that thou art mindefull of him? and the sonne of man, that thou visitest him?

ನೀವು ಮಾನವರನ್ನು ನೆನಸಲು ಅವರು ಎಷ್ಟರವರು? ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಿಡಲು ಅವನು ಯಾರು?

5 For thou hast made him a little lower then God, and crowned him with glory and worship.

ನೀವು ಮನುಷ್ಯಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾನವನ್ನೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಿರೀಟವಾಗಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

6 Thou hast made him to haue dominion in the workes of thine hands: thou hast put all things vnder his feete:

ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಕೃತಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಸಮಸ್ತವನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀರಿ:

7 All sheepe and oxen: yea, and the beastes of the fielde:

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಡವಿಯ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನೂ

8 The foules of the ayre, and the fish of the sea, and that which passeth through the paths of the seas.

ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೀನುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಹಾದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿಧವಾದ ಜೀವಜಂತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಪಾದಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀರಿ.

9 O Lord our Lord, howe excellent is thy Name in all the world!

ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತ ಆಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಮಹಿಮೆಯುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ!
