Psalms 79
1 A Psalme committed to Asaph. O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance: thine holy Temple haue they defiled, and made Ierusalem heapes of stones.
आसफ का एक स्तोत्र. परमेश्वर, जनताओं ने आपके निज भाग में अतिक्रमण किया है; आपके पवित्र मंदिर को उन्होंने दूषित कर दिया है, येरूशलेम अब खंडहर मात्र रह गया है.
2 The dead bodies of thy seruats haue they giuen to be meat vnto foules of ye heauen: and the flesh of thy Saintes vnto the beastes of the earth.
उन्होंने आपके सेवकों के शव आकाश के पक्षियों के आहार के लिए छोड़ दिए हैं; आपके भक्तों का मांस वन्य पशुओं का आहार बन गया है.
3 Their blood haue they shead like waters rounde about Ierusalem, and there was none to burie them.
येरूशलेम के चारों ओर उन्होंने रक्त को जलधारा समान बहा दिया है, मृतकों को भूमिस्थ करने के लिए कोई शेष न रहा.
4 Wee are a reproche to our neighbours, euen a scorne and derision vnto them that are round about vs.
हमारे पड़ोसियों के लिए हम तिरस्कार के पात्र हो गए हैं. उनके लिए, जो हमारे आस-पास होते हैं, हम घृणा और ठट्ठा का विषय बन गए हैं.
5 Lord, howe long wilt thou be angrie, for euer? shall thy gelousie burne like fire?
याहवेह, कब तक? क्या हम पर आपका क्रोध लगातार रहेगा? कब तक आपकी डाह अग्नि के जैसी दहकती रहेगी?
6 Powre out thy wrath vpon the heathen that haue not knowen thee, and vpon the kingdomes that haue not called vpon thy Name.
अब तो उन जनताओं पर अपना क्रोध उंडेल दीजिए, जो आपकी अवमानना करते हैं, उन राष्ट्रों पर, जो आपकी महिमा को मान्यता नहीं देते;
7 For they haue deuoured Iaakob and made his dwelling place desolate.
उन्होंने याकोब को निगल लिया है तथा उसकी मातृभूमि को ध्वस्त कर दिया है.
8 Remember not against vs the former iniquities, but make haste and let thy tender mercies preuent vs: for we are in great miserie.
हमारे पूर्वजों के पापों का दंड हमें न दीजिए; हम पर आपकी कृपा तुरंत पहुंच जाए, क्योंकि हमारी स्थिति अत्यंत गंभीर हो गई है.
9 Helpe vs, O God of our saluation, for the glorie of thy Name, and deliuer vs, and be mercifull vnto our sinnes for thy Names sake.
परमेश्वर, हमारे छुड़ानेवाले, अपनी महिमा के तेज के निमित्त हमारी सहायता कीजिए; अपनी महिमा के निमित्त हमारे पाप क्षमा कर हमारा उद्धार कीजिए.
10 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be knowen among the heathen in our sight by the vengeance of the blood of thy seruants that is shed.
भला जनताओं को यह कहने का अवसर क्यों दिया जाए, “कहां है उनका परमेश्वर?” हमारे देखते-देखते राष्ट्रों पर यह प्रकट कर दीजिए, कि आप अपने सेवकों के बहे रक्त का प्रतिशोध लेते हैं.
11 Let the sighing of the prisoners come before thee: according to thy mightie arme preserue the children of death,
बंदियों का कराहना आप तक पहुंचे; अपने महा सामर्थ्य के द्वारा उनकी रक्षा कीजिए, जो मृत्यु के लिए सौंपे जा चुके हैं.
12 And render to our neighbours seuen folde into their bosome their reproche, wherewith they haue reproched thee, O Lord.
प्रभु, पड़ोसी राष्ट्रों ने जो आपकी निंदा की है, उसका सात गुणा प्रतिशोध उनके झोली में डाल दीजिए.
13 So wee thy people, and sheepe of thy pasture shall praise thee for euer: and from generation to generation we will set foorth thy praise.
तब, हम आपकी प्रजा, आपके चरागाह की भेड़ें, सदा-सर्वदा आपका धन्यवाद करेंगे; एक पीढ़ी से दूसरी तक हम आपका गुणगान करते रहेंगे.
