Psalms 75

1 To him that excelleth. Destroy not. A Psalme or song committed toAsaph. We will prayse thee, O God, we will prayse thee, for thy Name is neere: therefore they will declare thy wonderous workes.

A ti, oh Dios, te alabamos, a ti alabamos; y los que honran tu nombre aclaran tus obras de poder.

2 When I shall take a conuenient time, I will iudge righteously.

Cuando haya llegado el tiempo correcto, seré el juez en rectitud.

3 The earth and all the inhabitantes thereof are dissolued: but I will establish the pillars of it. (Selah)

Cuando la tierra y toda su gente se debilitan, yo soy el sostén de sus pilares. (Selah)

4 I saide vnto the foolish, Be not so foolish, and to the wicked, Lift not vp the horne.

Digo a los hombres de soberbia: que se haya ido tu orgullo, y a los pecadores: no se levante tu orgullo.

5 Lift not vp your horne on high, neither speake with a stiffe necke.

No se levante tu orgullo; no dejes más palabras de soberbia en tus cuellos estirados.

6 For to come to preferment is neither from the East, nor from the West, nor from the South,

Porque el honor no viene del este, ni del oeste, ni del sur;

7 But God is the iudge: he maketh lowe and he maketh hie.

Pero Dios es el juez, a éste humilla y levanta a otro.

8 For in the hand of the Lord is a cup, and the wine is red: it is full mixt, and he powreth out of the same: surely all the wicked of the earth shall wring out and drinke the dregges thereof.

Porque en la mano del Señor hay una copa, y el vino es rojo; está bien mezclado, desbordando de su mano: hará que todos los pecadores de la tierra se apoderen de él, hasta la última gota.

9 But I will declare for euer, and sing prayses vnto the God of Iaakob.

Pero estaré siempre lleno de gozo, haciendo canciones de alabanza al Dios de Jacob.

10 All the hornes of the wicked also will I breake: but the hornes of the righteous shalbe exalted.

Por él cortará todos los poderíos de los pecadores; pero él poder de los rectos se levantará.
