Psalms 75

1 To him that excelleth. Destroy not. A Psalme or song committed toAsaph. We will prayse thee, O God, we will prayse thee, for thy Name is neere: therefore they will declare thy wonderous workes.

१आसाफाचे स्तोत्र हे देवा, आम्ही तुला धन्यवाद देतो; आम्ही धन्यवाद देतो, कारण तू आपले सान्निध्य प्रगट करतो; लोक तुझी आश्चर्यकारक कृत्ये सांगतात.

2 When I shall take a conuenient time, I will iudge righteously.

२नेमलेल्या समयी मी योग्य न्याय करीन.

3 The earth and all the inhabitantes thereof are dissolued: but I will establish the pillars of it. (Selah)

३जरी पृथ्वी आणि तिच्यावरील सर्व राहणारे सर्व भितीने कापत आहेत, मी पृथ्वीचे खांब स्थिर करीन.

4 I saide vnto the foolish, Be not so foolish, and to the wicked, Lift not vp the horne.

४मी गर्विष्ठांना म्हणालो, गर्विष्ठ होऊ नका, आणि दुष्टांना म्हणालो, आपल्या विजयाविषयी धिटाई करू नका.

5 Lift not vp your horne on high, neither speake with a stiffe necke.

५विजयाविषयी इतकी खात्री बाळगू नका; आपले डोके उंच करून बोलू नका.

6 For to come to preferment is neither from the East, nor from the West, nor from the South,

६विजय पूर्वेकडून नव्हे, पश्चिमेकडून किंवा रानातूनही येत नाही.

7 But God is the iudge: he maketh lowe and he maketh hie.

७पण देव न्यायाधीश आहे; तो एकाला खाली करतो आणि दुसऱ्याला उंच करतो.

8 For in the hand of the Lord is a cup, and the wine is red: it is full mixt, and he powreth out of the same: surely all the wicked of the earth shall wring out and drinke the dregges thereof.

८कारण परमेश्वराने आपल्या हातात फेसाळलेला पेला धरला आहे, त्यामध्ये मसाला मिसळला आहे आणि तो ओतून देतो. खात्रीने पृथ्वीवरील सर्व दुर्जन शेवटल्या थेंबापर्यंत पितील.

9 But I will declare for euer, and sing prayses vnto the God of Iaakob.

९पण तू काय केले हे मी नेहमी सांगत राहीन; मी याकोबाच्या देवाला स्तुती गाईन.

10 All the hornes of the wicked also will I breake: but the hornes of the righteous shalbe exalted.

१०तो म्हणतो, मी दुष्टांची सर्व शिंगे तोडून टाकीन, पण नितीमानाची शिंगे उंच करीन.
