Psalms 75

1 To him that excelleth. Destroy not. A Psalme or song committed toAsaph. We will prayse thee, O God, we will prayse thee, for thy Name is neere: therefore they will declare thy wonderous workes.

2 When I shall take a conuenient time, I will iudge righteously.

ঈশ্বর বলেন, “আমার নির্ধারিত সময়ে আমি ন্যায়বিচার করব।

3 The earth and all the inhabitantes thereof are dissolued: but I will establish the pillars of it. (Selah)

যখন পৃথিবী কাঁপে এবং সব মানুষ অশান্তিতে বাঁচে, আমি তার সব স্তম্ভ সুদৃঢ় রাখি।

4 I saide vnto the foolish, Be not so foolish, and to the wicked, Lift not vp the horne.

আমি দাম্ভিককে সতর্ক করি, ‘অহংকার কোরো না,’ দুষ্টকে বলি, ‘তোমার শিং উঁচু কোরো না।

5 Lift not vp your horne on high, neither speake with a stiffe necke.

স্বর্গের বিরুদ্ধে তোমার শিং উঁচু কোরো না; এত উদ্ধতভাবে কথা বোলো না।’”

6 For to come to preferment is neither from the East, nor from the West, nor from the South,

কেউ, পূর্ব বা পশ্চিম থেকে, অথবা মরুভূমি থেকে, নিজেকে উন্নত করতে পারে না।

7 But God is the iudge: he maketh lowe and he maketh hie.

ঈশ্বর একমাত্র বিচার করেন: তিনি কাউকে নত করেন বা কাউকে উন্নীত করেন।

8 For in the hand of the Lord is a cup, and the wine is red: it is full mixt, and he powreth out of the same: surely all the wicked of the earth shall wring out and drinke the dregges thereof.

সদাপ্রভুর হাতে এক পানপাত্র আছে, যা মশলা মিশ্রিত ফেনিয়ে ওঠা সুরাতে পূর্ণ; তিনি তা ঢেলে দেন, আর পৃথিবীর সমস্ত দুষ্টলোক পাত্রের তলানি পর্যন্ত পান করে।

9 But I will declare for euer, and sing prayses vnto the God of Iaakob.

কিন্তু আমি একথা চিরকাল ঘোষণা করে যাব; যাকোবের ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশে স্তুতিগান করব।

10 All the hornes of the wicked also will I breake: but the hornes of the righteous shalbe exalted.

কারণ ঈশ্বর বলেন, “আমি সব দুষ্টের শক্তি চূর্ণ করব, কিন্তু আমি ধার্মিকদের শক্তিবৃদ্ধি করব।”
