Psalms 73
1 A Psalme committed to Asaph. Yet God is good to Israel: euen, to the pure in heart.
ആസാഫിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ദൈവം യിസ്രായേലിന്നു, നിർമ്മലഹൃദയമുള്ളവർക്കു തന്നേ, നല്ലവൻ ആകുന്നു നിശ്ചയം.
2 As for me, my feete were almost gone: my steps had well neere slipt.
എന്നാൽ എന്റെ കാലുകൾ ഏകദേശം ഇടറി; എന്റെ കാലടികൾ ഏറക്കുറെ വഴുതിപ്പോയി.
3 For I feared at the foolish, when I sawe the prosperitie of the wicked.
ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ സൗഖ്യം കണ്ടിട്ടു എനിക്കു അഹങ്കാരികളോടു അസൂയ തോന്നി.
4 For there are no bandes in their death, but they are lustie and strong.
അവർക്കു വേദന ഒട്ടുമില്ലല്ലോ; അവരുടെ ദേഹം തടിച്ചുരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
5 They are not in trouble as other men, neither are they plagued with other men.
അവർ മർത്യരെപ്പോലെ കഷ്ടത്തിൽ ആകുന്നില്ല; മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെ ബാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല.
6 Therefore pride is as a chayne vnto them, and crueltie couereth them as a garment.
ആകയാൽ ഡംഭം അവർക്കു മാലയായിരിക്കുന്നു; ബലാല്ക്കാരം വസ്ത്രംപോലെ അവരെ ചുറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
7 Their eyes stande out for fatnesse: they haue more then heart can wish.
അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ പുഷ്ടികൊണ്ടു ഉന്തിനില്ക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നു.
8 They are licentious, and speake wickedly of their oppression: they talke presumptuously.
അവർ പരിഹസിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടതയോടെ ഭീഷണി പറയുന്നു; ഉന്നതഭാവത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
9 They set their mouth against heauen, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
അവർ വായ് ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയർത്തുന്നു; അവരുടെ നാവു ഭൂമിയിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
10 Therefore his people turne hither: for waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻതന്റെ ജനത്തെ ഇതിലേക്കു തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ധാരാളം വെള്ളം വലിച്ചുകുടിക്കുന്നു.
11 And they say, Howe doeth God know it? or is there knowledge in the most High?
ദൈവം എങ്ങനെ അറിയുന്നു? അത്യുന്നതന്നു അറിവുണ്ടോ? എന്നു അവർ പറയുന്നു.
12 Lo, these are the wicked, yet prosper they alway, and increase in riches.
ഇങ്ങനെ ആകുന്നു ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ; അവർ നിത്യം സ്വസ്ഥത അനുഭവിച്ചു സമ്പത്തു വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
13 Certainely I haue clensed mine heart in vaine, and washed mine hands in innocencie.
എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചതും എന്റെ കൈകളെ കുറ്റമില്ലായ്മയിൽ കഴുകിയതും വ്യർത്ഥമത്രേ.
14 For dayly haue I bene punished, and chastened euery morning.
ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ബാധിതനായിരുന്നു; ഉഷസ്സുതോറും ദണ്ഡിക്കപ്പെട്ടും ഇരുന്നു.
15 If I say, I will iudge thus, beholde the generation of thy children: I haue trespassed.
ഞാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ വിചാരിച്ചെങ്കിൽ ഇതാ, ഞാൻ നിന്റെ മക്കളുടെ തലമുറയോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
16 Then thought I to know this, but it was too painefull for me,
ഞാൻ ഇതു ഗ്രഹിപ്പാൻ നിരൂപിച്ചപ്പോൾ എനിക്കു പ്രയാസമായി തോന്നി;
17 Vntill I went into the Sanctuarie of God: then vnderstoode I their ende.
ഒടുവിൽ ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ചെന്നു അവരുടെ അന്തം എന്താകും എന്നു ചിന്തിച്ചു.
18 Surely thou hast set them in slipperie places, and castest them downe into desolation.
നിശ്ചയമായി നീ അവരെ വഴുവഴുപ്പിൽ നിർത്തുന്നു; നീ അവരെ നാശത്തിൽ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു.
19 How suddenly are they destroyed, perished and horribly consumed,
എത്ര ക്ഷണത്തിൽ അവർ ശൂന്യമായ്പോയി! അവർ മെരുൾചകളാൽ അശേഷം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 As a dreame when one awaketh! O Lord, when thou raisest vs vp, thou shalt make their image despised.
ഉണരുമ്പോൾ ഒരു സ്വപ്നത്തെപ്പോലെ കർത്താവേ, നീ ഉണരുമ്പോൾ അവരുടെ രൂപത്തെ തുച്ഛീകരിക്കും.
21 Certainely mine heart was vexed, and I was pricked in my reines:
ഇങ്ങനെ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം വ്യസനിക്കയും എന്റെ അന്തരംഗത്തിൽ കുത്തുകൊള്ളുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ
22 So foolish was I and ignorant: I was a beast before thee.
ഞാൻ പൊട്ടനും ഒന്നും അറിയാത്തവനും ആയിരുന്നു; നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ മൃഗംപോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.
23 Yet I was alway with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
എന്നിട്ടും ഞാൻ എപ്പോഴും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എന്നെ വലങ്കൈക്കു പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
24 Thou wilt guide me by thy counsell, and afterward receiue me to glory.
നിന്റെ ആലോചനയാൽ നീ എന്നെ നടത്തും; പിന്നെത്തേതിൽ മഹത്വത്തിലേക്കു എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളും.
25 Whom haue I in heauen but thee? and I haue desired none in the earth with thee.
സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ എനിക്കു ആരുള്ളു? ഭൂമിയിലും നിന്നെയല്ലാതെ ഞാൻ ഒന്നും ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ല.
26 My flesh fayleth and mine heart also: but God is the strength of mine heart, and my portion for euer.
എന്റെ മാംസവും ഹൃദയവും ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ദൈവം എന്നേക്കും എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിന്റെ പാറയും എന്റെ ഓഹരിയും ആകുന്നു.
27 For loe, they that withdrawe themselues from thee, shall perish: thou destroyest all them that goe a whoring from thee.
ഇതാ, നിന്നോടു അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നവർ നശിച്ചുപോകും; നിന്നെ വിട്ടു പരസംഗം ചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാവരെയും നീ സംഹരിക്കും.
28 As for me, it is good for me to draw neere to God: therefore I haue put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy workes.
എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തോടു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു എനിക്കു നല്ലതു; നിന്റെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും വർണ്ണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവിനെ എന്റെ സങ്കേതമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
