< Psalms 72 >
1 A Psalme of Salomon. Give thy iudgements to the King, O God, and thy righteousnesse to the Kings sonne.
Ko e Saame maʻa Solomone. ʻE ʻOtua, tuku ki he tuʻi ʻa hoʻo ngaahi fakamaau, mo hoʻo māʻoniʻoni ki he foha ʻoe tuʻi.
2 Then shall he iudge thy people in righteousnesse, and thy poore with equitie.
Te ne fakamaau hoʻo kakai ʻi he māʻoniʻoni, mo hoʻo kau masiva ʻaki ʻae fakamaau.
3 The mountaines and the hilles shall bring peace to the people by iustice.
ʻE ʻomi ʻe he ngaahi moʻunga ʻae melino ki he kakai, mo e māʻoniʻoni mei he ngaahi tafungofunga.
4 He shall iudge the poore of the people: he shall saue the children of the needie, and shall subdue the oppressor.
ʻE fakamaau ʻe ia ʻae kakai mamahi, te ne fakamoʻui ʻae fānau ʻae masiva, pea te ne fesifesi ʻae fakamālohi.
5 They shall feare thee as long as the sunne and moone endureth, from generatio to generation.
Te nau manavahē kiate koe ʻi he lolotonga ʻae kei tuʻu ʻae laʻā, mo e māhina, ʻi he toʻutangata kotoa pē.
6 He shall come downe like the rayne vpon the mowen grasse, and as the showres that water the earth.
ʻE ʻalu hifo ia ʻo hangē ko e ʻuha ki he mohuku kuo tutuʻu: ʻo hangē ko e ʻuha tuʻu mo tō ʻoku fakaviviku ʻae fonua.
7 In his dayes shall the righteous florish, and abundance of peace shalbe so long as the moone endureth.
ʻE tupu pē ʻae kau māʻoniʻoni ʻi hono ngaahi ʻaho; mo e melino lahi ʻaupito ʻi he kei tolonga ʻae māhina.
8 His dominion shall be also from sea to sea, and from the Riuer vnto the endes of the land.
ʻE pule ʻe ia foki mei he tahi ki he tahi, pea mei he vaitafe ʻo aʻu ki he ngaahi ngataʻanga ʻo māmani.
9 They that dwell in ye wildernes, shall kneele before him, and his enemies shall licke the dust.
ʻE punou ʻi hono ʻao ʻakinautolu ʻoku nofo ʻi he toafa; pea ʻe ʻemo ʻae efu ʻe hono ngaahi fili.
10 The Kings of Tarshish and of the yles shall bring presents: the Kings of Sheba and Seba shall bring giftes.
ʻE ʻomi ʻae ngaahi meʻaʻofa ʻe he ngaahi tuʻi ʻo Tasisi pea mo e ngaahi motu: ʻe ʻatu ʻae ngaahi meʻa foaki ʻe he ngaahi tuʻi ʻo Sipa mo Sepa.
11 Yea, all Kings shall worship him: all nations shall serue him.
ʻIo, ʻe punou ʻi hono ʻao ʻae ngaahi tuʻi kotoa pē: ʻE tauhi ia ʻe he puleʻanga kotoa pē.
12 For he shall deliuer the poore when he cryeth: the needie also, and him that hath no helper.
He te ne fakamoʻui ʻae masiva ʻi heʻene tangi; ʻae mamahi foki, mo ia ʻoku ʻikai hano tokoni.
13 He shalbe mercifull to the poore and needie, and shall preserue the soules of the poore.
Te ne fakamoʻui ʻae vaivai mo e masiva, ʻo fakamoʻui ʻae laumālie ʻoe kau masiva.
14 He shall redeeme their soules from deceite and violence, and deare shall their blood be in his sight.
ʻE huhuʻi ʻe ia honau laumālie mei he kākā mo e fakamālohi: pea ʻe mahuʻinga honau toto ʻi hono ʻao.
15 Yea, he shall liue, and vnto him shall they giue of the golde of Sheba: they shall also pray for him continually, and dayly blesse him.
Pea ʻe moʻui pe ia, pea ʻe foaki kiate ia ʻae koula ʻo Sipa: ʻE fai maʻuaipē ʻae lotu koeʻuhi ko ia; pea ʻe fakamālō kiate ia ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē,
16 An handfull of corne shall be sowen in the earth, euen in the toppe of the mountaines, and the fruite thereof shall shake like the trees of Lebanon: and the children shall florish out of the citie like the grasse of the earth.
Pea ʻe ʻi ai ʻae falukunga ʻoe uite ʻi he fonua ʻi he tumutumu ʻoe ngaahi moʻunga, ʻe ngaueue hono fua ʻo ia ʻo hangē ko Lepanoni: pea ko kinautolu ʻi he kolo ʻe tupu pe ʻo hangē ko e mohuku ʻoe fonua.
17 His name shall be for euer: his name shall indure as long as the sunne: all nations shall blesse him, and be blessed in him.
ʻE tuʻumaʻu hono huafa ʻo taʻengata, ʻe tolonga maʻuaipē hono huafa ʻo hangē ko e laʻā: pea ʻe monūʻia ʻae kakai ʻiate ia: ʻe ui ia ko e monūʻia ʻe he puleʻanga kotoa pē.
18 Blessed be the Lord God, euen the God of Israel, which onely doeth wonderous things.
Fakafetaʻi kia Sihova ko e ʻOtua, ko e ʻOtua ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻaia tokotaha pe ʻoku fai ʻae ngaahi meʻa fakaofo.
19 And blessed be his glorious Name for euer: and let all the earth be filled with his glorie. So be it, euen so be it.
Pea fakafetaʻi maʻuaipē ki hono huafa ongoongolelei ʻo taʻengata: pea tuku ke pito ʻa māmani kotoa pē ʻi hono nāunau; ʻEmeni, mo ʻEmeni.
20 HERE END THE prayers of Dauid, the sonne of Ishai.
Kuo ngata ʻae ngaahi lotu ʻa Tevita ko e foha ʻo Sese.
