Psalms 72

1 A Psalme of Salomon. Give thy iudgements to the King, O God, and thy righteousnesse to the Kings sonne.

ശലോമോന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ദൈവമേ, രാജാവിന് അങ്ങയുടെ ന്യായവും രാജകുമാരന് അങ്ങയുടെ നീതിനിഷ്ഠയും കൽപ്പിച്ചുനൽകണമേ.

2 Then shall he iudge thy people in righteousnesse, and thy poore with equitie.

അദ്ദേഹം അവിടത്തെ ജനത്തെ നീതിയോടും പീഡിതരെ ന്യായത്തോടുംകൂടെ ന്യായപാലനംചെയ്യട്ടെ.

3 The mountaines and the hilles shall bring peace to the people by iustice.

പർവതങ്ങൾ ജനത്തിനു സമൃദ്ധിയും കുന്നുകൾ നീതിയുടെ ഫലങ്ങളും നൽകട്ടെ.

4 He shall iudge the poore of the people: he shall saue the children of the needie, and shall subdue the oppressor.

ജനത്തിലെ പീഡിതർക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം പ്രതിരോധം തീർക്കും ദരിദ്രരുടെ മക്കളെ മോചിപ്പിക്കും; പീഡകരെ അദ്ദേഹം തകർക്കും

5 They shall feare thee as long as the sunne and moone endureth, from generatio to generation.

സൂര്യനും ചന്ദ്രനുമുള്ള കാലത്തോളം എല്ലാ തലമുറകളിലുമുള്ള ജനം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടട്ടെ.

6 He shall come downe like the rayne vpon the mowen grasse, and as the showres that water the earth.

അദ്ദേഹം വെട്ടിയൊതുക്കിയ പുൽപ്പുറങ്ങളിൽ പെയ്യുന്ന മഴപോലെയും ഭൂമിയെ നനയ്ക്കുന്ന വർഷംപോലെയും ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ.

7 In his dayes shall the righteous florish, and abundance of peace shalbe so long as the moone endureth.

അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ദിനങ്ങളിൽ നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ അഭിവൃദ്ധിപ്രാപിക്കും ചന്ദ്രൻ ഉള്ളകാലത്തോളം ഐശ്വര്യസമൃദ്ധിയുണ്ടാകും.

8 His dominion shall be also from sea to sea, and from the Riuer vnto the endes of the land.

സമുദ്രംമുതൽ സമുദ്രംവരെയും യൂഫ്രട്ടീസ് നദിമുതൽ ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തോളവും അദ്ദേഹം ഭരണംനടത്തട്ടെ.

9 They that dwell in ye wildernes, shall kneele before him, and his enemies shall licke the dust.

മരുഭൂവാസികൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെമുമ്പിൽ വണങ്ങുകയും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ പൊടി നക്കുകയുംചെയ്യട്ടെ.

10 The Kings of Tarshish and of the yles shall bring presents: the Kings of Sheba and Seba shall bring giftes.

തർശീശിലെയും വിദൂരതീരങ്ങളിലെയും ആളുകൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെമുമ്പിൽ കപ്പംകൊണ്ടുവരട്ടെ. ശേബയിലെയും സേബയിലെയും രാജാക്കന്മാർ ഉപഹാരങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുവരട്ടെ.

11 Yea, all Kings shall worship him: all nations shall serue him.

എല്ലാ രാജാക്കന്മാരും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെമുമ്പിൽ താണുവണങ്ങുകയും സകലരാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ സേവിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യട്ടെ.

12 For he shall deliuer the poore when he cryeth: the needie also, and him that hath no helper.

കാരണം തന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്ന ദരിദ്രരെയും ആശ്രയമറ്റ പീഡിതരെയും അദ്ദേഹം മോചിപ്പിക്കും.

13 He shalbe mercifull to the poore and needie, and shall preserue the soules of the poore.

ബലഹീനരോടും ദരിദ്രരോടും അദ്ദേഹം കരുണകാണിക്കും അദ്ദേഹം ദരിദ്രരെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

14 He shall redeeme their soules from deceite and violence, and deare shall their blood be in his sight.

പീഡനത്തിൽനിന്നും അക്രമത്തിൽനിന്നും അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ മോചിപ്പിക്കും, അവരുടെ രക്തം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ വിലപ്പെട്ടതായിരിക്കും.

15 Yea, he shall liue, and vnto him shall they giue of the golde of Sheba: they shall also pray for him continually, and dayly blesse him.

രാജാവ് നീണാൾ വാഴട്ടെ! ശേബയിലെ സ്വർണം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് കാഴ്ചയായി അർപ്പിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ. ജനം അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുവേണ്ടി നിരന്തരം പ്രാർഥിക്കുകയും ദിവസം മുഴുവൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.

16 An handfull of corne shall be sowen in the earth, euen in the toppe of the mountaines, and the fruite thereof shall shake like the trees of Lebanon: and the children shall florish out of the citie like the grasse of the earth.

ദേശത്തുടനീളം ധാന്യം സുലഭമായി വിളയട്ടെ; കുന്നിൻമുകളിൽ അവ ആലോലമാടട്ടെ. ലെബാനോൻപോലെ അതു ഫലസമൃദ്ധമാകട്ടെ നഗരവാസികൾ വയലിലെ പുല്ലുപോലെ തഴച്ചുവളരട്ടെ.

17 His name shall be for euer: his name shall indure as long as the sunne: all nations shall blesse him, and be blessed in him.

അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നാമം എന്നെന്നേക്കും നിലനിൽക്കട്ടെ; സൂര്യൻ നിലനിൽക്കുന്നകാലത്തോളം അതു സുദീർഘമായിരിക്കട്ടെ. അങ്ങനെ സകലരാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹത്തിലൂടെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ, അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അനുഗൃഹീതൻ എന്ന് അവർ വാഴ്ത്തിപ്പാടട്ടെ.

18 Blessed be the Lord God, euen the God of Israel, which onely doeth wonderous things.

ദൈവം, ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടട്ടെ, അവിടന്നുമാത്രം ആണല്ലോ അത്ഭുതങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്.

19 And blessed be his glorious Name for euer: and let all the earth be filled with his glorie. So be it, euen so be it.

അവിടത്തെ മഹത്ത്വമാർന്ന നാമം എന്നെന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടട്ടെ; സർവഭൂമിയും അവിടത്തെ മഹത്ത്വത്താൽ നിറയട്ടെ.
