Psalms 71
1 In thee, O Lord, I trust: let me neuer be ashamed.
Eternel! je me suis retiré vers toi, fais que je ne sois jamais confus.
2 Rescue mee and deliuer me in thy righteousnes: incline thine eare vnto me and saue me.
Délivre-moi par ta justice, et me garantis: incline ton oreille vers moi, et me mets en sûreté.
3 Be thou my strong rocke, whereunto I may alway resort: thou hast giuen commandement to saue me: for thou art my rocke, and my fortresse.
Sois-moi pour un rocher de retraite, afin que je m'y puisse toujours retirer; tu as donné ordre de me mettre en sûreté; car tu es mon rocher, et ma forteresse.
4 Deliuer mee, O my God, out of the hande of the wicked: out of the hande of the euill and cruell man.
Mon Dieu! délivre-moi de la main du méchant, de la main du pervers, et de l'oppresseur.
5 For thou art mine hope, O Lord God, euen my trust from my youth.
Car tu es mon attente, Seigneur Eternel! [et] ma confiance dès ma jeunesse.
6 Vpon thee haue I beene stayed from the wombe: thou art he that tooke me out of my mothers bowels: my praise shalbe alwaies of thee.
J'ai été appuyé sur toi dès le ventre [de ma mère]; c'est toi qui m'as tiré hors des entrailles de ma mère; tu es le sujet continuel de mes louanges.
7 I am become as it were a monster vnto many: but thou art my sure trust.
J'ai été à plusieurs comme un monstre; mais tu es ma forte retraite.
8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise, and with thy glory euery day.
Que ma bouche soit remplie de ta louange, et de ta magnificence chaque jour.
9 Cast mee not off in the time of age: forsake me not when my strength faileth.
Ne me rejette point au temps de ma vieillesse; ne m'abandonne point maintenant que ma force est consumée.
10 For mine enemies speake of mee, and they that lay waite for my soule, take their counsell together,
Car mes ennemis ont parlé de moi, et ceux qui épient mon âme ont pris conseil ensemble;
11 Saying, God hath forsaken him: pursue and take him, for there is none to deliuer him.
Disant: Dieu l'a abandonné; poursuivez-le, et le saisissez; car il n'y a personne qui le délivre.
12 Goe not farre from me, O God: my God, haste thee to helpe me.
Ô Dieu! ne t'éloigne point de moi; mon Dieu hâte-toi de venir à mon secours.
13 Let them be confounded and consumed that are against my soule: let them be couered with reproofe and confusion, that seeke mine hurt.
Que ceux qui sont ennemis de mon âme soient honteux et défaits; et que ceux qui cherchent mon mal soient enveloppés d'opprobre et de honte.
14 But I will waite continually, and will praise thee more and more.
Mais moi je vivrai toujours en espérance en toi, et je te louerai tous les jours davantage.
15 My mouth shall daily rehearse thy righteousnesse, and thy saluation: for I knowe not the nomber.
Ma bouche racontera chaque jour ta justice, [et] ta délivrance, bien que je n'en sache point le nombre.
16 I will goe forwarde in the strength of the Lord God, and will make mention of thy righteousnesse, euen of thine onely.
Je marcherai par la force du Seigneur Eternel; je raconterai ta seule justice.
17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth euen vntill nowe: therefore will I tell of thy wonderous workes,
Ô Dieu! tu m'as enseigné dès ma jeunesse, et j'ai annoncé jusques à présent tes merveilles.
18 Yea, euen vnto mine olde age and graie head, O God: forsake me not, vntill I haue declared thine arme vnto this generation, and thy power to all them, that shall come.
[Je les ai annoncées] jusqu’à la vieillesse, même jusques à la vieillesse toute blanche; ô Dieu! ne m'abandonne point jusqu’à ce que j'aie annoncé ton bras à cette génération, et ta puissance à tous ceux qui viendront après.
19 And thy righteousnes, O God, I wil exalt on high: for thou hast done great thinges: O God, who is like vnto thee!
Car ta justice, ô Dieu! est haut élevée, parce que tu as fait de grandes choses. Ô Dieu qui est semblable à toi?
20 Which hast shewed me great troubles and aduersities, but thou wilt returne, and reuiue me, and wilt come againe, and take mee vp from the depth of the earth.
Qui m'ayant fait voir plusieurs détresses et plusieurs maux, m'as de nouveau rendu la vie, et m'as fait remonter hors des abîmes de la terre?
21 Thou wilt increase mine honour, and returne and comfort me.
Tu accroîtras ma grandeur, et tu me consoleras encore.
22 Therefore will I praise thee for thy faithfulnesse, O God, vpon instrument and viole: vnto thee will I sing vpon the harpe, O Holy one of Israel.
Aussi, mon Dieu! je te célébrerai pour l'amour de ta vérité avec l'instrument de la musette; ô Saint d'Israël, je te psalmodierai avec la harpe.
23 My lippes will reioyce when I sing vnto thee, and my soule, which thou hast deliuered.
Mes lèvres et mon âme, que tu auras rachetée, chanteront de joie, quand je te psalmodierai.
24 My tongue also shall talke of thy righteousnesse daily: for they are confounded and brought vnto shame, that seeke mine hurt.
Ma langue aussi discourra chaque jour de ta justice, parce que ceux qui cherchent mon mal seront honteux et rougiront.
