Psalms 70

1 To him excelleth. A Psalme of David to put in remembrance. O God, haste thee to deliuer mee: make haste to helpe me, O Lord.

Dem Sangmeister, von David. Zum Bekennen.

2 Let them be confounded and put to shame, that seeke my soule: let them bee turned backewarde and put to rebuke, that desire mine hurt.

Eile, Elohim, mich zu retten, / Eile mir, Jahwe, zu Hilfe!

3 Let them be turned backe for a rewarde of their shame, which said, Aha, aha.

Beschämt und enttäuscht laß alle werden, / Die mir nach dem Leben trachten. / Mit Schimpf laß alle entweichen, / Die da mein Unglück wollen.

4 But let all those that seeke thee, be ioyfull and glad in thee, and let all that loue thy saluation, say alwaies, God be praised.

Zurückwenden sollen sich ob ihrer Schande, / Die (schadenfroh) über mich rufen: "Ha, ha!"

5 Nowe I am poore and needie: O God, make haste to me: thou art mine helper, and my deliuerer: O Lord, make no tarying.

Frohlocken laß aber und dein sich freun / Alle, die nach dir fragen. / Laß immerdar rufen: "Groß ist Elohim!" / Alle, die dein Heil lieben! Bin ich auch elend und arm — / Elohim, eile zu mir! / Mein Helfer und Retter bist du. / Jahwe, verzieh deine Hilfe nicht!
