Psalms 69
1 To him that excelleth upon Shoshannim. A Psalme of David. Save mee, O God: for the waters are entred euen to my soule.
Jusqu'à la Fin, psaume en répons, de David. Sauves-moi, ô mon Dieu, car les flots sont entrés jusqu'à mon âme.
2 I sticke fast in the deepe myre, where no staie is: I am come into deepe waters, and the streames runne ouer me.
Je suis enfoncé dans un abîme de fange où il n'y a point de fond; je suis plongé dans les profondeurs de la mer, et la tempête m'a submergé.
3 I am wearie of crying: my throte is drie: mine eyes faile, whiles I waite for my God.
Je me suis fatigué à crier; ma voix s'est enrouée; mes yeux se sont éteints, quand j'ai mis mon espoir en Dieu.
4 They that hate mee without a cause, are moe then the heares of mine heade: they that would destroy mee, and are mine enemies falsly, are mightie, so that I restored that which I tooke not.
Ceux qui me haïssent sans cause sont devenus plus nombreux que les cheveux de ma tête; mes ennemis, ceux qui me persécutent injustement, se sont fortifiés; j'ai payé ce que je n'avais point ravi.
5 O God, thou knowest my foolishnesse, and my fautes are not hid from thee.
O Dieu, tu connais ma folie, et mes fautes ne te sont point cachées.
6 Let not them that trust in thee, O Lord God of hostes, be ashamed for me: let not those that seeke thee, be confounded through mee, O God of Israel.
Seigneur, Dieu des armées, que ceux qui t'attendent ne soient point humiliés en moi; ô Dieu d'Israël, que ceux qui te cherchent ne soient point en moi confondus.
7 For thy sake haue I suffred reproofe: shame hath couered my face.
Car, pour l'amour de toi, j'ai supporté les outrages; la confusion a couvert ma face.
8 I am become a stranger vnto my brethren, euen an aliant vnto my mothers sonnes.
Je suis devenu un étranger pour mes frères, un inconnu pour les fils de ma mère.
9 For the zeale of thine house hath eaten mee, and the rebukes of them that rebuked thee, are fallen vpon me.
Parce que le zèle de ta maison m'a dévoré, et que les injures de ceux qui t'outrageaient sont tombées sur moi.
10 I wept and my soule fasted, but that was to my reproofe.
Et j'ai dompté mon âme par le jeûne, et, par là, je me suis attiré des mépris.
11 I put on a sacke also: and I became a prouerbe vnto them.
Et j'ai pris pour vêtement un cilice, et me voilà devenu leur fable.
12 They that sate in the gate, spake of mee, and the drunkards sang of me.
Les hommes assis vers la porte parlaient contre moi, et les buveurs de vin chantaient en me raillant.
13 But Lord, I make my praier vnto thee in an acceptable time, euen in the multitude of thy mercie: O God, heare me in the trueth of thy saluation.
Et moi dans ma prière à toi, ô Seigneur, je disais: Mon Dieu, le temps de la bienveillance est venu; écoute-moi dans la plénitude de ta miséricorde, sauve-moi par ta vérité!
14 Deliuer mee out of the myre, that I sinke not: let me be deliuered from them that hate me, and out of the deepe waters.
Retire-moi de la fange, afin que je n'y demeure point enfoncé; délivre- moi de mes ennemis et de la profondeur des eaux.
15 Let not the water flood drowne mee, neither let the deepe swallowe me vp: and let not the pit shut her mouth vpon me.
Qu'un flot soulevé par la tempête ne me submerge pas; que l'abîme ne m'engloutisse point; que la pierre du puits de l'abîme ne se ferme point sur moi.
16 Heare me, O Lord, for thy louing kindnes is good: turne vnto me according to ye multitude of thy tender mercies.
Exauce-moi, Seigneur, car ta miséricorde est bonne; jette un regard sur moi dans l'abondance de ta compassion.
17 And hide not thy face from thy seruant, for I am in trouble: make haste and heare me.
Ne détourne point ton visage de ton serviteur; je suis opprimé, exauce- moi promptement.
18 Draw neere vnto my soule and redeeme it: deliuer me because of mine enemies.
Considère mon âme et rachète-la; sauve-moi de mes ennemis.
19 Thou hast knowen my reproofe and my shame, and my dishonour: all mine aduersaries are before thee.
Car tu connais leurs injures, et ma honte, et mon humiliation.
20 Rebuke hath broken mine heart, and I am full of heauinesse, and I looked for some to haue pitie on me, but there was none: and for comforters, but I found none.
Tous ceux qui m'affligent sont en ta présence; mon âme s'est résignée aux opprobres et à la misère; j'ai attendu quelqu'un qui fût contristé avec moi, et nul n'est venu; j'ai cherché un consolateur, et je ne l'ai point trouvé.
21 For they gaue me gall in my meate, and in my thirst they gaue me vineger to drinke.
Et ils m'ont donné du fiel pour nourriture, et dans ma soif ils m'ont abreuvé de vinaigre.
22 Let their table be a snare before them, and their prosperitie their ruine.
Que leur table devienne pour eux un piège; qu'elle soit leur punition et leur scandale.
23 Let their eyes be blinded that they see not: and make their loynes alway to tremble.
Que leurs yeux soient obscurcis et qu'ils ne voient plus; et que leur dos soit perpétuellement courbé.
24 Powre out thine anger vpon them, and let thy wrathfull displeasure take them.
Répands sur eux ton courroux; que le transport de ta colère les saisisse.
25 Let their habitation be voide, and let none dwell in their tents.
Que leur maison des champs soit désolée, et que nul n'habite sous leur toit.
26 For they persecute him, whome thou hast smitten: and they adde vnto the sorrowe of them, whome thou hast wounded.
Parce qu'ils ont persécuté celui que tu as frappé, et qu'ils ont ajouté à la douleur de mes blessures.
27 Laie iniquitie vpon their iniquitie, and let them not come into thy righteousnesse.
Impute-leur iniquité sur iniquité; qu'ils n'entrent pas en ta justice!
28 Let them be put out of the booke of life, neither let them be written with the righteous.
Qu'ils soient effacés du livre des vivants; qu'ils ne soient point inscrits parmi les justes.
29 When I am poore and in heauinesse, thine helpe, O God, shall exalt me.
Pour moi, je suis pauvre et désolé; mais la protection de ta face m'a sauvé.
30 I will praise the Name of God with a song, and magnifie him with thankesgiuing.
Je louerai dans mes cantiques le nom de mon Dieu; je le glorifierai en mes louanges.
31 This also shall please the Lord better then a yong bullocke, that hath hornes and hoofes.
Et cela plaira à Dieu, plus qu'un jeune veau montrant des ongles et des cornes.
32 The humble shall see this, and they that seeke God, shalbe glad, and your heart shall liue.
Que les pauvres voient et se réjouissent; cherchez Dieu, et vous vivrez.
33 For the Lord heareth the poore, and despiseth not his prisoners.
Car le Seigneur a exaucé les indigents, et jamais n'a méprisé ceux qui sont ses captifs.
34 Let heauen and earth praise him: the seas and all that moueth in them.
Qu'il soit loué des cieux, de la terre, de la mer, et de tous les êtres qui se meuvent en eux.
35 For God will saue Zion, and builde the cities of Iudah, that men may dwell there and haue it in possession.
Car le Seigneur sauvera Sion, et les villes de la Judée seront édifiées, et des hommes les habiteront, et l'obtiendront pour héritage.
36 The seede also of his seruants shall inherit it: and they that loue his name, shall dwel therein.
Et la postérité de ses serviteurs les possédera, et ceux qui aiment son nom y auront leurs demeures.
