Psalms 66
1 To him that excelleth. A song or Psalme. Rejoice in God, all ye inhabitants of the earth.
En Psalmvisa, till att föresjunga. Fröjdens Gudi, all land.
2 Sing forth the glory of his name: make his praise glorious.
Lofsjunger, till att ära hans Namn; priser honom härliga.
3 Say vnto God, Howe terrible art thou in thy workes! through the greatnesse of thy power shall thine enemies be in subiection vnto thee.
Säger till Gud: Huru underliga äro dina gerningar! Dinom fiendom skall fela för dine stora magt.
4 All the worlde shall worship thee, and sing vnto thee, euen sing of thy Name. (Selah)
All land tillbedje dig, och lofsjunge dig; lofsjunge dino Namne. (Sela)
5 Come and beholde the workes of God: he is terrible in his doing towarde the sonnes of men.
Kommer och ser uppå Guds verk; den så underlig är i sina gerningar, ibland menniskors barn.
6 He hath turned the Sea into drie land: they passe through the riuer on foote: there did we reioyce in him.
Han förvandlar hafvet uti det torra, så att man till fot öfver vattnet går. Dess fröjde vi oss i honom.
7 He ruleth the worlde with his power: his eyes beholde the nations: the rebellious shall not exalt them selues. (Selah)
Han är rådandes med sine kraft evinnerliga; hans ögon skåda på folken. De affällige skola icke kunna upphäfva sig. (Sela)
8 Prayse our God, ye people, and make the voyce of his prayse to be heard.
Lofver, I folk, vår Gud; låter hans lof vidt hördt varda;
9 Which holdeth our soules in life, and suffereth not our feete to slippe.
Den våra själ vid lif behåller, och låter våra fötter icke slinta.
10 For thou, O God, hast proued vs, thou hast tryed vs as siluer is tryed.
Ty, Gud, du hafver försökt oss, och pröfvat oss, såsom silfver pröfvadt varder.
11 Thou hast brought vs into the snare, and layed a strait chaine vpon our loynes.
Du hafver fört oss uti häktelse; du hafver lagt en tunga på våra länder.
12 Thou hast caused men to ryde ouer our heads: we went into fire and into water, but thou broughtest vs out into a welthie place.
Du hafver låtit komma menniskor öfver vårt hufvud. Vi äre komne i eld och i vatten; men du hafver utfört oss, och vederqvickt oss.
13 I will go into thine House with burnt offrings, and will pay thee my vowes,
Derföre vill jag med bränneoffer gå in uti ditt hus, och betala dig mina löften;
14 Which my lippes haue promised, and my mouth hath spoken in mine affliction.
Såsom jag mina läppar upplåtit hafver, och min mun talat hafver, i mine nöd.
15 I will offer vnto thee the burnt offerings of fat rammes with incense: I will prepare bullocks and goates. (Selah)
Jag vill göra dig fet bränneoffer af brändom vädrom; jag vill offra oxar och bockar. (Sela)
16 Come and hearken, all ye that feare God, and I will tell you what he hath done to my soule.
Kommer hit, hörer till, alle I som Gud frukten; jag vill förtälja, hvad han mine själ gjort hafver.
17 I called vnto him with my mouth, and he was exalted with my tongue.
Till honom ropade jag med min mun, och prisade honom med mine tungo.
18 If I regard wickednesse in mine heart, the Lord will not heare me.
Om jag något orätt förehade i mitt hjerta, så, vorde Herren mig ej hörandes.
19 But God hath heard me, and considered the voyce of my prayer.
Derföre hörer mig Gud, och aktar uppå min bön.
20 Praysed be God, which hath not put backe my prayer, nor his mercie from me.
Lofvad vare Gud, den mina bön icke förkastar, eller vänder sina godhet ifrå mig.
