Psalms 61

1 To him that excelleth on Neginoth. A Psalme of David. Heare my cry, O God: giue eare vnto my prayer.

Salmo de Davi, para o regente, com instrumento de cordas: Ouve, ó Deus, o meu clamor; presta atenção à minha oração.

2 From the endes of the earth will I crye vnto thee: when mine heart is opprest, bring me vpon the rocke that is higher then I.

Desde o limite da terra eu clamo a ti, pelo sofrimento do meu coração; leva-me para uma rocha alta para mim.

3 For thou hast bene mine hope, and a strong tower against the enemie.

Pois tu tens sido o meu refúgio [e] torre forte perante o inimigo.

4 I will dwell in thy Tabernacle for euer, and my trust shall be vnder the couering of thy wings. (Selah)

Eu habitarei em tua tenda para sempre; tomarei refúgio [me] escondendo sob tuas asas. (Selá)

5 For thou, O God, hast heard my desires: thou hast giuen an heritage vnto those that feare thy Name.

Pois tu, ó Deus, ouviste meus votos; tu tens [me] dado a herança dos que temem o teu nome.

6 Thou shalt giue the King a long life: his yeeres shalbe as many ages.

Acrescentarás dias e mais dias ao Rei; seus anos serão como de geração em geração.

7 Hee shall dwell before God for euer: prepare mercie and faithfulnes that they may preserue him.

Ele habitará para sempre diante de Deus; prepara que [tua] bondade e fidelidade o guardem.

8 So will I alway sing prayse vnto thy Name in performing dayly my vowes.

Assim cantarei ao teu nome para sempre, para eu pagar meus votos dia após dia.
