Psalms 60
1 To him that excelleth upon Shushan Eduth, or Michtam. A Psalme of David to teach. When he fought against Aram Naharaim, and against Aram Zobah, when Joab returned and slew twelve thousand Edomites in the salt valley. O God, thou hast cast vs out, thou hast scattered vs, thou hast bene angry, turne againe vnto vs.
ஆராம் நகராயிம், ஆராம் சேபா என்ற அரசுகளோடு தாவீது போர் செய்கையில் யோவாப் உப்புப் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் பன்னீராயிரம் ஏதோமியரை வெற்றிக்கொண்டபோது, “உடன்படிக்கையின் லீலிமலர்” என்ற இசையில் மிக்தாம் என்னும் சங்கீதத்தை போதனையாக தாவீது பாடி பாடகர் குழுத் தலைவனுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட சங்கீதம். இறைவனே, நீர் எங்களைப் புறக்கணித்துவிட்டீர், எங்களை சிதறடித்துவிட்டீர்; நீர் கோபமாயிருந்தீர்; மறுபடியும் எங்களிடம் திரும்பி வாரும்.
2 Thou hast made the land to tremble, and hast made it to gape: heale the breaches thereof, for it is shaken.
நீர் நாட்டை அதிரப்பண்ணி, அதைப் பிளந்து விட்டீர்; அசைந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் அந்த வெடிப்புகளைச் சரிப்படுத்தும்.
3 Thou hast shewed thy people heauy things: thou hast made vs to drinke the wine of giddines.
கடினமான காரியங்களை நீர் உமது மக்களை காணச்செய்தீர்; தடுமாறச் செய்யும் திராட்சை இரசத்தை எங்களுக்குக் குடிக்கக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறீர்.
4 But now thou hast giuen a banner to them that feare thee, that it may be displayed because of thy trueth. (Selah)
ஆனால் உமக்குப் பயந்து நடக்கிறவர்கள், வில்லுக்கு தப்பித்துக் கொள்ளுமாறு ஒரு கொடியை உயர்த்தினீர்.
5 That thy beloued may be deliuered, helpe with thy right hand and heare me.
நீர் நேசிப்பவர்கள் மீட்கப்படும்படி, நீர் எங்களைக் காப்பாற்றி, உமது வலதுகரத்தின் வல்லமையினால் எங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்யும்.
6 God hath spoken in his holines: therefore I will reioyce: I shall deuide Shechem, and measure the valley of Succoth.
இறைவன் தமது பரிசுத்த இடத்திலிருந்து பேசியது: “நான் வெற்றிகொண்டு சீகேமைப் பிரித்தெடுப்பேன்; சுக்கோத்தின் பள்ளத்தாக்கை அளந்துகொடுப்பேன்.
7 Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iudah is my lawgiuer.
கீலேயாத் என்னுடையது, மனாசேயும் என்னுடையது; எப்பிராயீம் என் தலைக்கவசம், யூதா என் செங்கோல்.
8 Moab shalbe my wash pot: ouer Edom will I cast out my shoe: Palestina shew thy selfe ioyfull for me.
மோவாப் என் கழுவும் பாத்திரம், நான் ஏதோமின்மீது என் காலணியை எறிவேன்; நான் பெலிஸ்தியாவை வென்று முழக்கமிடுவேன்.”
9 Who will leade me into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?
அரண்சூழ்ந்த நகரத்திற்கு யார் என்னைக் கொண்டுவருவார்? யார் என்னை ஏதோமுக்கு வழிநடத்துவார்?
10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadest cast vs off, and didest not go forth, O God, with our armies?
இறைவனே, எங்களைப் புறக்கணித்தவரும், எங்கள் படைகளுடன் போகாதிருந்தவரும் நீரல்லவா?
11 Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.
பகைவரை மேற்கொள்ள எங்களுக்கு உதவும்; ஏனெனில் மனிதனின் உதவியோ பயனற்றது.
12 Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall tread downe our enemies.
இறைவனாலேயே நாம் வெற்றிபெறுவோம்; அவர் நமது பகைவரை மிதித்துப்போடுவார்.
