Psalms 60
1 To him that excelleth upon Shushan Eduth, or Michtam. A Psalme of David to teach. When he fought against Aram Naharaim, and against Aram Zobah, when Joab returned and slew twelve thousand Edomites in the salt valley. O God, thou hast cast vs out, thou hast scattered vs, thou hast bene angry, turne againe vnto vs.
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે. રાગ શૂશાન-એડૂથ; શિખામણને અર્થે દાઉદનું મિખ્તામ. તે અરામ-નાહરાઈમ તથા અરામ-સોબા સાથે લડ્યો, ને યોઆબે પાછા ફરીને મીઠાની ખીણમાં અદોમમાંના બાર હજાર માણસ માર્યા, તે વખતનું. હે ઈશ્વર, તમે અમને તજી દીધા છે; તમે અમને પાયમાલ કર્યા છે; તમે કોપાયમાન થયા છો; અમને ફરીથી સ્થાપો.
2 Thou hast made the land to tremble, and hast made it to gape: heale the breaches thereof, for it is shaken.
૨તમે દેશને ધ્રૂજાવ્યો છે; તમે તેને ચીરીને અલગ કર્યો છે; તેના વિભાગોને તમે સમારો, કેમ કે તે કાંપે છે.
3 Thou hast shewed thy people heauy things: thou hast made vs to drinke the wine of giddines.
૩તમે તમારા લોકોને અતિ વિકટ સમયમાં લઈ ગયા છો; તમે અમને લથડિયાં ખવડાવનારો દ્રાક્ષારસ પીવડાવ્યો છે.
4 But now thou hast giuen a banner to them that feare thee, that it may be displayed because of thy trueth. (Selah)
૪તમે તમારી બીક રાખનારાઓને ધ્વજા આપી છે, કે જેથી તે સત્યને અર્થે પ્રદર્શિત કરાય.
5 That thy beloued may be deliuered, helpe with thy right hand and heare me.
૫કે જેથી જેઓ તમને પ્રેમ કરે છે, તેઓ છૂટી જાય, તમારા જમણા હાથથી અમને છોડાવો અને મને જવાબ આપો.
6 God hath spoken in his holines: therefore I will reioyce: I shall deuide Shechem, and measure the valley of Succoth.
૬ઈશ્વર પોતાની પવિત્રસ્થાનમાંથી બોલ્યા છે, “હું હરખાઈશ; હું શખેમના ભાગ પાડીશ અને સુક્કોથની ખીણ વહેંચી આપીશ.
7 Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iudah is my lawgiuer.
૭ગિલ્યાદ મારું છે અને મનાશ્શા પણ મારું છે; એફ્રાઇમ પણ મારા માથાનો ટોપ છે. યહૂદિયા મારો રાજદંડ છે.
8 Moab shalbe my wash pot: ouer Edom will I cast out my shoe: Palestina shew thy selfe ioyfull for me.
૮મોઆબ મારો કળશિયો છે; અદોમ ઉપર હું મારું પગરખું નાખીશ; હું પલિસ્તીઓને કારણે હું જય પોકાર કરીશ.
9 Who will leade me into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?
૯મજબૂત શહેરમાં મને કોણ લાવશે? અદોમમાં મને કોણ દોરવણી આપશે?”
10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadest cast vs off, and didest not go forth, O God, with our armies?
૧૦પણ, હે ઈશ્વર, તમે શું અમને તજી દીધા નથી? તમે અમારા સૈન્યોની સાથે યુદ્ધમાં આવતા નથી.
11 Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.
૧૧અમારા શત્રુઓ વિરુદ્ધ અમારી સહાય કરો, કારણ કે માણસોની સહાય વ્યર્થ છે.
12 Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall tread downe our enemies.
૧૨ઈશ્વરની સહાયથી અમે જીત મેળવીશું; તે અમારા શત્રુઓને કચડી નાખશે.
