Psalms 56
1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David on Michtam, concerning the dumme doue in a farre countrey, when the Philistims tooke him in Gath. Be mercifull vnto me, O God, for man would swallow me vp: he fighteth continually and vexeth me.
ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. “ದೂರದ ಓಕ್ ಮರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾರಿವಾಳ ಕುಳಿತಿದೆ” ಎಂಬ ರಾಗವನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿದೆ. ದಾವೀದನ ಮಿಕ್ಟಮ್ ಹಾಡಿನ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ. ದಾವೀದನ ಗತ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರಲ್ಲಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈವಶವಾದಾಗ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಕಾವ್ಯ. ದೇವರೇ ಕರುಣಿಸು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಿರೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
2 Mine enemies would dayly swallowe mee vp: for many fight against me, O thou most High.
ನನ್ನ ವಿರೋಧಿಗಳು ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನಟ್ಟುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
3 When I was afrayd, I trusted in thee.
ನಾನು ಭಯಪಡುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವೆನು.
4 I will reioyce in God, because of his word, I trust in God, and will not feare what flesh can doe vnto me.
ದೇವರ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಪಡುವೆನು. ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವೆನು, ನಾನು ಭಯಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಾಯುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನನಗೇನು ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲ?
5 Mine owne wordes grieue me dayly: all their thoughtes are against me to doe me hurt.
ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಸದಾ ಅಪಾರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿರುವ ಅವರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡಿಗಾಗಿವೆ.
6 They gather together, and keepe them selues close: they marke my steps, because they waite for my soule.
ಅವರು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ತೆಗೆಯಲು ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
7 They thinke they shall escape by iniquitie: O God, cast these people downe in thine anger.
ಅಪರಾಧದಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾರೋ? ದೇವರೇ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣವಾಗಿ ದಂಡಿಸಿರಿ.
8 Thou hast counted my wandrings: put my teares into thy bottel: are they not in thy register?
ನನ್ನ ಗೋಳಾಟವನ್ನು ಎಣಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸುರುಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರ ಲೆಕ್ಕಮಾಡಿರಿ, ಅವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲವೇ?
9 When I cry, then mine enemies shall turne backe: this I know, for God is with me.
ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟಾಗ, ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವರು. ಇದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ನನಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು.
10 I will reioyce in God because of his worde: in the Lord wil I reioyce because of his worde.
ನಾನು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಪಡುವೆನು. ಹೌದು, ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಪಡುವೆನು.
11 In God doe I trust: I will not be afrayd what man can doe vnto me.
ನಾನು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆಯಿಡುವೆನು. ನಾನು ಭಯಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮಾನವನು ನನಗೇನು ಮಾಡುವನು?
12 Thy vowes are vpon me, O God: I will render prayses vnto thee.
ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಹರಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನವಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ಉಪಕಾರ ಸ್ತುತಿಯ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವೆನು.
13 For thou hast deliuered my soule from death, and also my feete from falling, that I may walke before God in the light of the liuing.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಾನು ಜೀವದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಎಡವದಂತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
