Psalms 52
1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid to giue instruction. When Doeg the Edomite came and shewed Saul, and saide to him, Dauid is come to the house of Abimelech. Why boastest thou thy selfe in thy wickednesse, O man of power? the louing kindenesse of God indureth dayly.
संगीत निर्देशक के लिये. दावीद की मसकील गीत रचना. इसका संदर्भ: एदोमवासी दोएग ने जाकर शाऊल को सूचित किया कि दावीद अहीमेलेख के आवास में ठहरे हैं. हे बलवान घमंडी, अपनी बुराई का अहंकार क्यों करता है? तू दिन भर क्यों घमंड करता है, तू जो परमेश्वर की नजर में एक अपमान है?
2 Thy tongue imagineth mischiefe, and is like a sharpe rasor, that cutteth deceitfully.
तेज उस्तरे जैसी तुम्हारी जीभ विनाश की बुरी युक्ति रचती रहती है, और तुम छल के कार्य में लिप्त रहते हो.
3 Thou doest loue euill more then good, and lies more then to speake the trueth. (Selah)
तुम्हें भलाई से ज्यादा अधर्म, और सत्य से अधिक झूठाचार पसंद है.
4 Thou louest all wordes that may destroye, O deceitfull tongue!
हे छली जीभ, तुझे तो हर एक बुरा शब्द प्रिय है!
5 So shall God destroy thee for euer: he shall take thee and plucke thee out of thy tabernacle, and roote thee out of ye land of the liuing. (Selah)
यह सुनिश्चित है कि परमेश्वर ने तेरे लिए स्थायी विनाश निर्धारित किया है: वह तुझे उखाड़कर तेरे निवास से दूर कर देंगे; परमेश्वर तुझे जीव-लोक से उखाड़ देंगे.
6 The righteous also shall see it, and feare, and shall laugh at him, saying,
यह देख धर्मी भयभीत हो जाएंगे; वे उसे देख यह कहते हुए उपहास करेंगे,
7 Beholde the man that tooke not God for his strength, but trusted vnto the multitude of his riches, and put his strength in his malice.
“उस पुरुष को देखो, जिसने परमेश्वर को अपना आश्रय बनाना उपयुक्त न समझा परंतु उसने अपनी धन-संपत्ति पर भरोसा किया और अन्यों पर दुष्कर्म करते हुए सशक्त होता गया!”
8 But I shall bee like a greene oliue tree in the house of God: for I trusted in the mercie of God for euer and euer.
किंतु मैं परमेश्वर के निवास के हरे-भरे जैतून वृक्ष के समान हूं; मैं परमेश्वर के करुणा-प्रेम पर सदा-सर्वदा भरोसा रखता हूं.
9 I will alway praise thee, for that thou hast done this, and I will hope in thy Name, because it is good before thy Saints.
परमेश्वर, मैं आपके द्वारा किए गए कार्यों के लिए सदा-सर्वदा आपका धन्यवाद करता रहूंगा. आपके नाम मेरी आशा रहेगी, क्योंकि वह उत्तम है, आपके भक्तों के उपस्थिति में मैं आपकी वंदना करता रहूंगा.
