Psalms 49
1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Heare this, all ye people: giue eare, all ye that dwell in the world,
Para o músico chefe. Um salmo pelos filhos de Corá. Hear isto, todos vocês povos. Ouçam, todos vocês habitantes do mundo,
2 As well lowe as hie, both rich and poore.
tanto para baixo como para cima, ricos e pobres juntos.
3 My mouth shall speake of wisdome, and the meditation of mine heart is of knowledge.
Minha boca dirá palavras de sabedoria. Meu coração vai expressar compreensão.
4 I will incline mine eare to a parable, and vtter my graue matter vpon the harpe.
Vou inclinar meu ouvido para um provérbio. Vou resolver meu enigma sobre a harpa.
5 Wherefore should I feare in the euil dayes, when iniquitie shall compasse me about, as at mine heeles?
Why se eu temer nos dias do mal, quando a iniqüidade nos meus calcanhares me cerca?
6 They trust in their goods, and boast them selues in the multitude of their riches.
Aqueles que confiam em sua riqueza, e se vangloriar na multidão de suas riquezas...
7 Yet a man can by no meanes redeeme his brother: he can not giue his raunsome to God,
none deles pode, por qualquer meio, resgatar seu irmão, nem dar a Deus um resgate por ele.
8 (So precious is the redemption of their soules, and the continuance for euer)
Pois o resgate de sua vida é caro, nenhum pagamento é sempre suficiente,
9 That he may liue still for euer, and not see the graue.
que ele deve viver para sempre, que ele não deve ver corrupção.
10 For he seeth that wise men die, and also that the ignorant and foolish perish, and leaue their riches for others.
Pois ele vê que os sábios morrem; Da mesma forma, o tolo e o insensato perecem, e deixar sua riqueza para outros.
11 Yet they thinke, their houses, and their habitations shall continue for euer, euen from generation to generation, and call their lands by their names.
O pensamento interior deles é que suas casas durarão para sempre, e seus lugares de residência para todas as gerações. Eles dão o seu próprio nome às suas terras.
12 But man shall not continue in honour: he is like the beastes that die.
Mas o homem, apesar de suas riquezas, não suporta. Ele é como os animais que perecem.
13 This their way vttereth their foolishnes: yet their posteritie delite in their talke. (Selah)
This é o destino daqueles que são tolos, e daqueles que aprovam suas afirmações. (Selah)
14 Like sheepe they lie in graue: death deuoureth them, and the righteous shall haue domination ouer them in the morning: for their beautie shall consume, when they shall goe from their house to graue. (Sheol h7585)
Eles são designados como um rebanho para o Sheol. A morte será seu pastor. Os verticalizados terão domínio sobre eles pela manhã. Sua beleza deve decair no Sheol, longe de sua mansão. (Sheol h7585)
15 But God shall deliuer my soule from the power of the graue: for he will receiue me. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
But Deus resgatará minha alma do poder do Sheol, pois ele vai me receber. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
16 Be not thou afrayd when one is made rich, and when the glory of his house is increased.
Don não tenha medo quando um homem se torna rico, quando a glória de sua casa é aumentada;
17 For he shall take nothing away when he dieth, neither shall his pompe descende after him.
pois quando ele morre ele não leva nada embora. Sua glória não vai descer atrás dele.
18 For while he liued, he reioyced himselfe: and men will prayse thee, when thou makest much of thy selfe.
Embora enquanto vivia, ele abençoou sua alma... e os homens o elogiam quando você se sai bem por si mesmo.
19 He shall enter into the generation of his fathers, and they shall not liue for euer.
ele deve ir para a geração de seus pais. Eles nunca devem ver a luz.
20 Man is in honour, and vnderstandeth not: he is like to beasts that perish.
Um homem que tem riquezas sem entender, é como os animais que perecem.
