Psalms 49
1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Heare this, all ye people: giue eare, all ye that dwell in the world,
૧મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; કોરાના દીકરાઓનું ગીત. હે સર્વ લોકો, તમે આ સાંભળો; હે વિશ્વાસીઓ, કાન ધરો.
2 As well lowe as hie, both rich and poore.
૨નિમ્ન અને ઉચ્ચ બન્ને, શ્રીમંત તથા દરિદ્રી, તમે સર્વ ધ્યાન આપો.
3 My mouth shall speake of wisdome, and the meditation of mine heart is of knowledge.
૩હું મારે મુખે બુદ્ધિ વિષે બોલીશ અને મારા હૃદયના વિચારો ડહાપણ વિષે હશે.
4 I will incline mine eare to a parable, and vtter my graue matter vpon the harpe.
૪હું દ્રષ્ટાંત પર કાન લગાડીશ; વીણા પર મારો મર્મ ખોલીશ.
5 Wherefore should I feare in the euil dayes, when iniquitie shall compasse me about, as at mine heeles?
૫જ્યારે મારી આસપાસ અન્યાય થાય અને મને શત્રુઓ ઘેરી લે, ત્યારે એવા દુષ્ટોના દિવસોમાં હું શા માટે બીહું?
6 They trust in their goods, and boast them selues in the multitude of their riches.
૬જેઓ પોતાની સંપત્તિ પર ભરોસો રાખે છે અને પોતાના પુષ્કળ દ્રવ્યનું અભિમાન કરે છે.
7 Yet a man can by no meanes redeeme his brother: he can not giue his raunsome to God,
૭તેઓમાંનો કોઈ પોતાના ભાઈને કોઈ પણ રીતે બચાવી શકતો નથી અથવા તેના બદલામાં ઈશ્વરને ખંડણી આપી શકતો નથી.
8 (So precious is the redemption of their soules, and the continuance for euer)
૮કેમ કે તેના પ્રાણની કિંમત મોટી છે અને એ વિચાર તેણે સદાને માટે છોડી દેવો જોઈએ.
9 That he may liue still for euer, and not see the graue.
૯તે સદાકાળ જીવતો રહે કે જેથી તેનું શરીર કબરમાં દફનાવાય નહિ.
10 For he seeth that wise men die, and also that the ignorant and foolish perish, and leaue their riches for others.
૧૦કેમ કે તે જુએ છે કે બુદ્ધિવંત માણસો મરણ પામે છે; મૂર્ખ તથા અસભ્ય જેવા સાથે નાશ પામે છે અને પારકાઓને માટે પોતાનું ધન મૂકીને જાય છે.
11 Yet they thinke, their houses, and their habitations shall continue for euer, euen from generation to generation, and call their lands by their names.
૧૧તેઓના કબરો સદા માટે તેઓના ઘર રહેશે અને અમારાં રહેઠાણ પેઢી દરપેઢી રહેશે; તેઓ પોતાની જાગીરોને પોતાનાં નામ આપે છે.
12 But man shall not continue in honour: he is like the beastes that die.
૧૨પણ માણસ ધનવાન હોવા છતાં, ટકી રહેવાનો નથી; તે નાશવંત પશુના જેવો છે.
13 This their way vttereth their foolishnes: yet their posteritie delite in their talke. (Selah)
૧૩આપમતિયા માણસોનો માર્ગ મૂર્ખ જ છે; તેમ છતાં તેઓના પછીના લોકો તેઓનો બોલ પસંદ કરે છે. (સેલાહ)
14 Like sheepe they lie in graue: death deuoureth them, and the righteous shall haue domination ouer them in the morning: for their beautie shall consume, when they shall goe from their house to graue. (Sheol h7585)
૧૪તેમને શેઓલમાં લઈ જવાના ટોળાં જેવા ઠરાવવામાં આવશે; મૃત્યુ તેઓનો ઘેટાંપાળક થશે; તેઓ સીધા કબર તરફ ઉતરશે; તેઓનું સૌંદર્ય શેઓલમાં એવું નાશ પામશે કે, ત્યાં કોઈ બાકી રહેશે નહિ. (Sheol h7585)
15 But God shall deliuer my soule from the power of the graue: for he will receiue me. (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
૧૫પણ ઈશ્વર મારા આત્માને શેઓલના નિયંત્રણમાંથી છોડાવી લેશે; તે મારો અંગીકાર કરશે. (સેલાહ) (Sheol h7585)
16 Be not thou afrayd when one is made rich, and when the glory of his house is increased.
૧૬જ્યારે કોઈ ધનવાન થાય છે, જ્યારે તેના ઘરનો વૈભવ વધી જાય, ત્યારે તું ગભરાઈશ નહિ.
17 For he shall take nothing away when he dieth, neither shall his pompe descende after him.
૧૭કેમ કે જ્યારે તે મૃત્યુ પામે, ત્યારે તે પોતાની સાથે કંઈ લઈ જવાનો નથી; તેનો વૈભવ તેની પાછળ જવાનો નથી.
18 For while he liued, he reioyced himselfe: and men will prayse thee, when thou makest much of thy selfe.
૧૮જ્યારે તે જીવતો હતો, ત્યારે તે પોતાના આત્માને આશીર્વાદ આપતો હતો અને જ્યારે તું તારું પોતાનું ભલું કરે છે, ત્યારે માણસો તારાં વખાણ કરે છે.
19 He shall enter into the generation of his fathers, and they shall not liue for euer.
૧૯તે પોતાના પૂર્વજોના પિતૃઓની પાસે ચાલ્યો જાય છે; પછી તેઓ જીવનનું અજવાળું ક્યારેય પણ નહિ જુએ.
20 Man is in honour, and vnderstandeth not: he is like to beasts that perish.
૨૦જે માણસ ધનવાન છે, પણ જેને આત્મિક સમજ નથી તે નાશવંત પશુ સમાન છે.
