< Psalms 48 >
1 A song or Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praysed, in the Citie of our God, euen vpon his holy Mountaine.
Ko e Hiva mo e Saame ki he ngaahi foha ʻo Kola. ʻOku lahi ʻa Sihova, pea ʻoku lelei ke fakamālō lahi kiate ia, ʻi he kolo ʻa hotau ʻOtua, ʻi he moʻunga ʻo ʻene māʻoniʻoni.
2 Mount Zion, lying Northwarde, is faire in situation: it is the ioy of the whole earth, and the Citie of the great King.
Ko e tuʻunga matamatalelei ʻae moʻunga ko Saione, ko e fiefiaʻanga ʻo māmani kotoa pē, ʻoku ʻi hono potu tokelau ʻae kolo ʻoe Tuʻi lahi.
3 In the palaces thereof God is knowen for a refuge.
ʻOku ʻilo ʻae ʻOtua ko e hūfanga ʻi hono ngaahi fale lahi ʻo ia.
4 For lo, the Kings were gathered, and went together.
Pea vakai, naʻe fakataha ʻae ngaahi tuʻi, naʻa nau ʻalu atu fakataha.
5 When they sawe it, they marueiled: they were astonied, and suddenly driuen backe.
Naʻa nau mamata ai, pea nau ofo; naʻa nau mamahi, pea hola.
6 Feare came there vpon them, and sorowe, as vpon a woman in trauaile.
Naʻe tuia ʻakinautolu ʻi ai ʻi he manavahē, mo e mamahi, ʻo hangē ko e fefine ʻoku langā.
7 As with an East winde thou breakest the shippes of Tarshish, so were they destroyed.
ʻOku ke maumauʻi ʻae ngaahi vaka ʻo Tasisi ʻaki ʻae matangi hahake.
8 As we haue heard, so haue we seene in the citie of the Lord of hostes, in the Citie of our God: God will stablish it for euer. (Selah)
Hangē ko ia naʻa mau fanongo, kuo pehē ʻemau mamata ʻi he kolo ʻa Sihova ʻoe ngaahi kautau, ʻi he kolo ʻa hotau ʻOtua: ʻe fakatuʻumaʻu ia ʻe he ʻOtua ʻo taʻengata. (Sila)
9 We waite for thy louing kindnes, O God, in the middes of thy Temple.
Kuo mau manatu ki hoʻo ʻaloʻofa, ʻE ʻOtua, ʻi ho loto faletapu.
10 O God, according vnto thy Name, so is thy prayse vnto the worlds end: thy right hand is full of righteousnes.
ʻO hangē ko ho huafa, ʻE ʻOtua, ʻoku pehē ho ongoongolelei ki he ngaahi ngataʻanga ʻo māmani; ʻoku pito ho nima toʻomataʻu ʻi he māʻoniʻoni.
11 Let mount Zion reioyce, and the daughters of Iudah be glad, because of thy iudgements.
Tuku ke fiefia ʻae moʻunga ko Saione, tuku ke nekeneka ʻae ngaahi ʻofefine ʻo Siuta, ko e meʻa ʻi hoʻo ngaahi fakamaau.
12 Compasse about Zion, and goe round about it, and tell the towres thereof.
Mou ʻeveʻeva takatakai ʻi Saione, ʻo ʻalu fakatakamilo ʻiate ia: lau hono ngaahi fale māʻolunga ʻo ia.
13 Marke well the wall thereof: beholde her towres, that ye may tell your posteritie.
Mou vakai lelei ki hono ngaahi puke, tokanga ki hono ngaahi fale lahi; koeʻuhi ke mou tala ia ki he toʻutangata ʻe hoko.
14 For this God is our God for euer and euer: he shall be our guide vnto the death.
“He ko e ʻOtua ni ko hotau ʻOtua ʻo lauikuonga pea taʻengata: te ne tauhi ʻakitautolu ʻo aʻu ki he mate.”
