Psalms 47

1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. All people clap your hands: sing loude vnto God with a ioyfull voyce.

Керівнику хору. Псалом синів Кореєвих. Усі народи, плескайте в долоні, вигуки радості нехай лунають [на славу] Богові.

2 For the Lord is high, and terrible: a great King ouer all the earth.

Бо Господь Всевишній грізний, Він Цар великий над усією землею!

3 He hath subdued the people vnder vs, and the nations vnder our feete.

Він підкорив нам народи й племена [кинув] під наші ноги.

4 Hee hath chosen our inheritance for vs: euen the glory of Iaakob whom he loued. (Selah)

Він обрав для нас спадок – гордість Якова, якого полюбив. (Села)

5 God is gone vp with triumph, euen the Lord, with the sound of the trumpet.

Бог піднявся під радісні вигуки, Господь піднісся під голос сурми.

6 Sing prayses to God, sing prayses: sing prayses vnto our King, sing prayses.

Співайте Богові, співайте! Співайте Цареві нашому, співайте!

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing prayses euery one that hath vnderstanding.

Бо Цар усієї землі – Бог, співайте псалом із розумінням.

8 God reigneth ouer the heathen: God sitteth vpon his holy throne.

Бог царює над народами, Бог сидить на Своєму святому престолі.

9 The princes of the people are gathered vnto the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the world belong to God: he is greatly to be exalted.

Шляхетні з народів зібралися разом із народом Бога Авраамового, адже Богу належать захисники землі – Він високо піднесений [над ними].
