Psalms 47

1 To him that excelleth. A Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. All people clap your hands: sing loude vnto God with a ioyfull voyce.

Oh ploskajte [s] svojimi rokami, vsa ljudstva, vzklikajte Bogu z glasom zmagoslavja.

2 For the Lord is high, and terrible: a great King ouer all the earth.

Kajti Gospod, najvišji, je strašen, on je veliki Kralj nad vso zemljo.

3 He hath subdued the people vnder vs, and the nations vnder our feete.

Ljudstva bo podjarmil pod nas in narode pod naša stopala.

4 Hee hath chosen our inheritance for vs: euen the glory of Iaakob whom he loued. (Selah)

Izbral nam bo našo dediščino, odličnost Jakoba, ki ga je ljubil. (Sela)

5 God is gone vp with triumph, euen the Lord, with the sound of the trumpet.

Bog se je dvignil z vzklikom, Gospod z zvokom šofarja.

6 Sing prayses to God, sing prayses: sing prayses vnto our King, sing prayses.

Prepevajte hvalnice Bogu, prepevajte hvalnice. Prepevajte hvalnice našemu Kralju, prepevajte hvalnice.

7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing prayses euery one that hath vnderstanding.

Kajti Bog je Kralj vse zemlje. Prepevajte hvalnice z razumevanjem.

8 God reigneth ouer the heathen: God sitteth vpon his holy throne.

Bog kraljuje nad pogani. Bog sedi na prestolu svoje svetosti.

9 The princes of the people are gathered vnto the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the world belong to God: he is greatly to be exalted.

Princi ljudstva so se zbrali skupaj, celó ljudstvo Abrahamovega Boga, kajti ščiti zemlje pripadajo Bogu, on je silno vzvišen.
